Religion / Re: NBM Of Africa Donates N2m To Victims Of Owo Catholic Church Attack (Pics, Video) by enebaino: 8:09am On Jun 14, 2022

The Neo-Black Movement of Africa (NBM) has announced the donation of N2m to victims of the June 5 terror attack at St Francis Church, Owo, Owo local government area of Ondo State.

National President of the Movement, Olorogun Ese Kakor, who made the donations when he visited scene of the attack and palace of the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III also assured that NBM of Africa would help to showcase the rich cultural values of Owo community ahead of the Owo Igogo festival.

Olorogun Kakor said it was unimaginable that gunmen could kill people inside the sanctuary of God.

Kakor described the NBM as a pan-African organisation that promotes Africa culture and engaged in humanitarian services.

He insisted that the NBM was not part of the Blackaxe confraternity.

“We came to sympathise with the church on this attack. We come to share in their grief and sympathize with the people of Owo.

“Intelligence matters a lot. Security agents have to upp their came. It is getting worse. Nigerians have to report suspicion movement around them.

“NBM has nothing to do with Blackaxe confraternity. Blackaxe is a criminal organisation. We are a humanitarian organisation.”

Parish Priest of the church, Fr. Vincent Amadin, said the number of injured persons have risen.

Amadin said those who went home after the incident didn’t know they had internal injuries.

“You cannot say this is the actual figure because more than half of the church were affected. There are various forms of injuries. Some just went home with minor injuries but they are complaining now. A woman that didn’t know she had internal injuries called me yesterday after she fell.”

Oba Ogunoye III said it was unfortunate that terrorists defiled the House of God and attempted to shatter the peace enjoyed in Owo.

Nonsense nbm is a secret cult that's killing young men.

NBM is a registered organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), with Reg no 7729.

NBM would not have been registered if it were a secret cult.

Nbm , Black Axxe, Ayes, Egede it's all one and the same evil secret cult with different styling for different ocassion. Stop typing nonsense

Have you had any dealings with a member of NBM?
Why will a secret cult put her things in the public?
These are the questions you should ask yourself. You can't use the deed of one man to say that's what the organization stands for.

It will be funny to say all pastors from a particular church are into fraud or have sex with their female members because I caught one pastor doing so.

NBM has members in virtually all works if life doing great for themselves and impacting positively in the life's of people and the nation at large.
If you know one that is into crime, please contact the nearest law enforcement agency so the person will be arrested. We don't abet crime or encourage criminals.

NBM is not a lawless organization and it will be an error to judge the movement with the crime of an individual.

Italian Court Rules NBM Of Africa Not Mafia Group, Different From ''

Court of Appeal sitting in Assizes Palermo City in Italy on Tuesday ruled that , NBM of Africa is different from Organization and therefore not a mafia group, ABN TV reports.

The court upheld the ruling of the trial Court of Assizes in Palermo City in Italy, which on 8th day of November,2019 dismissed the charges of membership of mafia group, criminal conspiracy to commit extortion amongst other charges brought against members of NBM of Africa in Italy and acquitted them.

The court held that there was no proof that the Pan African Socio- Cultural organisation called NBM of Africa is same as .

The discharged and acquitted members are Mr Ken Osayande,Festus Pedro Erhonmosele and Mr Osahenagharu Uwagboe.

They were arrested on allegation that the NBM of Africa which they belong to in Italy is one and same organisation as organisation which the authorities suspected has same structure and operational style of a Mafia group otherwise called Cosa Nostra.

Not satisfied with the ruling of the trial court, the prosecuting counsel filed and commenced appeal about 17th day of December, 2020 at the Assizes Court of Appeal in Palermo City in Italy.

The Court of Appeal presided over by Justice Angelo Pellino acquitted the accused members of NBM of Africa on grounds that there was nothing linking them to any mafia group or .

The Appeal Court further ruled that NBM is not a mafia group.

The defence counsels for the NBM of Africa from Italy include Giovanni Rizzuti, Anastasia Righetti,Cinzia Pecorino, and Rocco Chinnici.

The spokesperson of NBM of Africa Mr Oluwatosin Dixon while briefing newsmen in Lagos on the outcome of the court ruling reiterated that the judgment has finally vindicated NBM of Africa also known as of Africa.

He took a swipe at BBC for what he called maliciously defamatory documentary against the Movement.

He stated further that the organisation will continue to promote African Culture,Peace,Equity and Social Justice amongst all human race in accordance with its fundamental principles and objectives as a Pan African socio-cultural organisation.

Politics / Bbc Africa Now Filled With Feeble Journalism – Boma Udumba, Manchester by enebaino: 4:04pm On Dec 22, 2021
My attention has been brought to a trending BBC Eye Documentary about a Nigerian cult group named and the trending spontaneous comments of rebuttal afterwards by one NBM of Africa, a supposed Pan-Africanist organisation birthed in 1977 with the motto “equal rights & social justice for all”.

The immediate rebuttal by this organisation named NBM made me take another look at the almost 1 hour long documentary, I also made research into the journalist, Mr. Gbolahan Macjob who looked a brave man until my 3rd view of the documentary.
Mr Gbolahan Macjob had graduated from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ibadan around 1998. He worked briefly with the Ogun State Ministry of Information as a laison officer before he relocated to Manchester for his MSc. Most recently, Mr. Gbolahan Macjob is one of the few journalist that condemned the claims that killing of peaceful protesters happened at Lekki Toll gate in October 2020 by the security operatives.
”DJ Switch is a fraud and her lies has caused a lot of destruction. She must be tried and prosecuted once the facts come out in the open. And let me assure you, she will not get asylum, regardless of her CNN interview. Nobody likes being manipulated or used. The intel is out there and her game will be up soon. You guys realise there’s something called satellite imagery bah? And you’ve heard of BBC Africa Eye? have you not?
Okay we shall soon see how the dead bodies of the massacre were removed and why their family members are yet to come to demand their whereabouts. Lies kill more than guns.” he wrote.
After reading Mr. Gbolahan’s opinion about the Lekki massacre in 2020, i dug deeper. I realised he is also a politician who contested for the Federal House of Representatives, Abeokuta South Constituency in 2019 under Youths Democratic Party (YDP). I was disappointed because journalism is a profession that is embedded on truth and politics is embedded on lies. I began to question where Mr. Gbolahan is finding the balance mixing water & oil which are immiscible liquids.

Cultism is a social vice that is deeply rooted in Nigeria today. However, the unending issue of insurgency in all parts of Nigeria and other parts of Africa is one which the BBC Africa Eye should have shown its prowess in investigative journalism to win the heart of Nigerians. Then i thought to myself why is a renowned BBC journalist like Mr Gbolahan interested in alone when there are numerous cult groups in Nigeria and now even operating in secondary schools? We have the pirates confraternity now known as National Association of Seadogs (NAS), Buccaneers Association of Nigeria (BAN), Supreme Vikings Confraternity (SVC), Maphites, KKK, 22 and many more. I dug even deeper and discovered Mr. Gbolahan belonged to the Supreme Eiye Confraternity (SEC). A yoruba cult founded in the 60’s. They call them Eiye which means bird !
You will recall Mr. Gbolahan claimed to have watched his friend die but he didn’t explain the death was occasioned by a supremacy clash with the . Reason the investigation is personal to him.
You call it bravery, I call it a film shoot.
Mr. Gbolahan was unprotected when he visited the faceless killers (who are probably his friends or paid actors because Mr. Gbolahan is also an unsuccesful part-time actor). He was also given just a charm when he joined the Oyabo in Ikorodu on a raid of cultists hideouts but when he was about to meet with an unmasked NBM President, he had security operatives behind him. So i dug even deeper and watched the movie, I beg your pardon documentary again (for the 4th time now).
I concluded the documentary was made for politicians and it is quite pathetic that a non-partisan organisation such as the NBM is at the receiving end. If you watch the movie again, you’d realise one of the biggest political thugs in the country aside from MC Oluomo in Lagos is Tony Kabaka of Benin. During the interview, Kabaka hurried up the stairs like a little boy who’s father had just returned from a long trip. He seemed very excited about the whole interview. He said “Cultism still exist because government is involved, that is the truth”
Then he began to lay threats, he said with pride “stakeholders, senior stakeholders there (in the government) are cultists like me.
He further said “If you sat me down and say can you identify people in in government? I will identify.”
To my utmost surprise, in the same week this BBC documentary was trending, the court had suddenly ordered that the Obaseki-led government in Edo State rebuilds the multimillion naira hotel destroyed 2 years ago which is owned by Kabaka. Then, the Edo State government claimed the multimillion naira hotel was infringing the right of way and because Kabaka was going to sing like a bird, the hotel stopped being on the right of way.
Kabaka who had achieved his aim went ahead and released a video of apology kneeling down to the Edo State government. He claimed Governor Obaseki is his uncle and only destroyed his hotel to pull his ears. How hilarious!….This was when i realised i had just watched a nollywood movie four times.
Mr Gbolahan was so unprofessional he had used footages from the uproar during the Endsars period all over the country claiming they were cult clashes. How did the BBC employ Mr. Gbolahan? A politician and journalist? No wonder the CNN has gained more views in the past decade.
Please Mr. Gbolahan I urge you to use your BBC Africa Eye Satellite Imagery like you did during the endsars in Lagos to unravel the faces behind the incessant killings by Boko Haram in northern Nigeria, unknown gunmen and banditry in the southeast and cases of kidnapping in the entire country only then will I be motivated to watch any of your docu-movies ever again.

NBM has suspended and expelled lots of erring members. NBM had also lend it voice during the endsars protest, NBM had also send relief materials to flood victims when part of the Niger Delta region was flooded, NBM has and is doing lots of humanitarian services. The list is endless. A criminal is a criminal but you can't use the crime of one man to judge the organization. We have heard stories of lots of Nigerian youths engaging in internet fraud does that mean we are all into fraud? We have heard of some Nigerians engaging in one crime or the other, does that make us all criminals? We want to catch these criminals as well, if you see any member erring, you can write us. But to tag an organization or dent the image of an organization for the crime of one person is malicious, except the journalist has something he's not telling us.
owagbeba:

How many times have you seen NBM call a press conference to condemn the conducts of erring members?

How many times have NBM demanded justice for people who were extrajudicially killed by members?

Now back to my earlier reply, you demanded that BBC should apologize for reporting the atrocious activities of NBM members. Why should BBC apologize? Members of NBM in this BBC report described abdominal crimes committed. Has NBM done anything about these crimes by members if they were such a noble organization?

NBM is non religious, non ethnic and non tribalistic organization and has nothing to do with criminality. I don't see anything wrong with the documentary but trying to tag NBM with criminality is wrong. NBM has nothing to hide to the public. There are bad elements in every organization that doesn't make the organization itself bad.
Metrix147:
The fire stoked by the recent BBC documentary in which it accused NBM of Africa of derailing from a human right defence organization to a violent cult group is far from over as the group gives BBC seven (7) days ultimatum to retract the said defamatory content or face legal action.

In a letter dated 17th December, 2021, , NBM of Africa vowed to proceed to court to seek redress if BBC fails to retract the alleged defamation, insisting that it is determined to redeem the integrity of NBM through all means lawful.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqPdxCh3pvw
In a release on Tuesday signed by the Chairman Body of Founders of the group, Comrade Ernest Amadasun, NBM of Africa alleged that there is grand conspiracy to discredit it by individuals and groups who are heavily funded.

The group insists that if any of its members is found to be involved in crime, such member should be arrested and prosecuted in court of law, saying the name of NBM of Africa should not be linked to personal wrong action of a member.

It says, "The recent Online broadcast/publication and documentary produce by British Broadcasting Corporation against our organization NBM of Africa otherwise known as of Africa has necessitated this Press Briefing in order to put the records in the right perspective."

NBM of Africa continued, "It is therefore embarrassing and against best global practice in broadcasting and journalism for British Broadcasting Corporation otherwise known as BBC and its allies to produce and broadcast defamatory documentary online through YouTube and segment of its organization known as the African EYE against the integrity of NBM of Africa.

"In the said online broadcast and documentary by British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC persistently referred to our NBM of Africa as and allude to unfounded facts that NBM of Africa involves in violence and criminality.

"The defamatory documentary and broadcast which has gone viral on the internet and further broadcasted by BBC on the 19th day of December, 2021 defamed and disparaged our organization’s reputation and character with obvious consequences that have caused NBM loss and divestment of integrity by prudent members of the society, which has caused our organization to be held in abysmal disdain, disrespect and odium by ordinary and prudent members of the society."
