A 22-year-old man, Stephen Brawn has today been cleared of rape after filming himself having sex with a sleeping woman before posting the footage on Facebook.
Brawn speaking after a jury at Ipswich Crown Court acquitted him, he lashed out at police, claiming he should ‘never have been charged’.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, complained to police that she had been raped by Brawn. She told officers she had not consented to having sex when she was asleep and as a result had not given her permission for the encounter to be filmed.

For failure to return to classrooms, the Senate of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) has sacked all academic staff on its payroll with immediate effect. The sack order was made known by the Public Relations Officers (PRO) of the institution, Mr Chike Ezenwa, while speaking with the Nigerian Tribune in Owerri, through telephone.

According to him, the senate of the university had declared all the positions of academic staff in the institution, adding that they would be advertised starting from Monday, December 2.
