Edo and delta used to be former Bendel state and it's Midwest, yes that is correct but that is after the amalgamation of Nigeria. Before the emergence of the British (Who created Nigeria in 1914) their was nothing like Bendel state or Midwest every tribe associated with the tribe that has the same value system with them.
