Goodevening to you all,I applied for this job yesterday on my phone.The application was successful but when I tried doing the aptitude test on my phone,it was not opening.I was surprised when I was later sent an email that I failed the test and I can't proceed any further.Pls what can I do because I am interested in the job very much?

Yes. This is to all applicants in the house. Don't make the same mistake some of us were guilty of in our time. All transcripts must be sent with the transcript label duly signed and enclosed in the same envelope. A word is enough for the wise. You can send the transcripts even after the EPT. So stay calm, read and quietly apply for your transcript in your respective schools. Goodluck.
For the English language scholars... Take my advice, Prepare and practise with the English language past questions. Don't underestimate it. So that what almost happened to your 'adviser' won't come near you.

Pls my que is that someone is helping me apply for my transcript in my school but how will I tell them to send the transcript to UI considering the attachment of the transcript label to it? You have asked a rather difficult one here. what do i advice? I would try to do justice to it as much as I can.
First, my experience with MPH is that it is better to specialize in one of the streams at the masters level. so you should be looking at Health administration, Health Economics, Epidemiology, International health, environmental health ETC. this should be guided by the type of jobs you intend to aim for after your MPH. Just to let you know that Health economists are really on demand at the moment on a global scale.
second, one of the main challenges with young people is lack of experience and most MPH jobs look for people with experience. this leaves most people in a "chicken and egg" situation. one of the things you could do to get around it is to do unpaid internships.
I am aware that internship opportunities abound with "West African Health Organisation", also you could have a look at WHO, i am sure they offer unpaid internships too.
Alternatively you could be looking at the federal ministry of health - i gathered there is a ministry of Public health after all. so you could find out from there if you could do an unpaid internship - i am pretty sure they will be glad to have someone bringing in some skills at no cost.

for someone pursuing a career in public health potential employers include
1. International organisations : CDC, WHO, UNICEF, WAHO
2. Private organisations: Clinton foundation, Doctors without borders etc
3. Research jobs
4. Academics

above all i would advice you to look beyond Nigeria for opportunities.
look at the thread I created on scholarship opportunities and see the ones you could explore.

Firstly, I'm starting out my career in public health. That's 110% decided. I have a bachelor's degree in the sciences and a relatively sound knowledge of research.

Public Health is an enormous discipline which is open to everyone irrespective of their originating academic background, towards achieving a safe and planned public health.

In Nigeria, public health is available only at a higher Cadre of learning, starting from the masters degree setup, so I have found out.

The university of Ibadan, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, University of Lagos are example of schools with Public Health Department which award degrees in Public Health. Entry requirements vary between these schools, so be sure to check the admission requirements of these schools to guide you in your decision making

As I'm starting out my own career, I will not have all the knowledge to pass along, therefore I urge experienced public health professionals operating in Nigeria and elsewhere to post valuable contributions to aid prospective, entry level, mid-career and top-level public health professionals here

As a current student in germany,let me give a first hand experience.

Studying in germany is cheap because you psy between 50-200 euro per semester(i e 40k max) per semester.

Insurance is 40 euro for private and 81 euro for public insurance(aok or dhk).i recommend public insurance because its benefit otweigh the cost.

Jobwise i love germany.if you have the capacity to work, its not difficult to get one if you are not the lazy type.expecially in the summer. E.g you can work in daimler, bosch,maggi,posche,deutsche post , hugo boss ,amazon and get averagely 4000 euro for the 3 month summer job.but german work are not for lazy people but they are easy to get.also theres a lot of 450 euro mini job whi h are tax free,with these u can leave and survive all your monthly expenses.
The 8040 euro in your in your block account is still your money but you can only with withraw 670 monthly.

Presently theres influx of american student in my school and when you ask them why they mostly pinpoint FREE EDUCATION.

The only challenge you might have here is language barrier,because its not every body that speak english but bro you will survive.

After your studies you have 18month to look for a job that equate the level of ur academic qualification to get resident permit. Beleive alot of people get it especially guy in IT,medicine etc,for those in business or economics program with b1 level of german you can get the job as well.

The only obstacle here is the LANGUAGE

Uk is also a nice contry due to easy admission and language is not a barrier but the Cost is too outrageuos for an average nigerian.paying averagely 1,800,000 pay annum as school fees and after pay this for 3 years(barchelor) you chased them out of your country is exploidatory in my own opinion. The truth is uk is overcrowded and they are broke (in my opinion) thats why there policy is anti immigrant.

Finally if you dont want to stay back and your family or sponsorer are well to do uk is your best choice,for husler,average guy,am tired of 9ja who want to stay back in my opinion germany is sweet.study hard,learn the language everything will flow...
