Laliga President, Javier Tebas has made his opinion known about Neymar’s return to barcelona.

The president said it is unlikely Neymar will make a return to former club Barcelona.

Neymar was heavily linked with a return to Spain last summer, after his world-record £200m move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 but the deal never went through.

And Tebas has come out to state it is unlikely Neymar will be back in Spain because of the financial impact of coronavirus.

Arsenal are considering a move to make a free transfer signing this summer of Paris Saint-Germain legend Thiago Silva.

It is believed Arsenal are one of five Premier League sides chasing Silva who is set to be released by PSG at the end of the season.

After the latest round of testing on Monday, the manager of Stoke City, Michael O'Neill has tested positive for COVID-19 .

A planned friendly match between Stoke and Manchester United which was to take place at the Carrington training base was dramatically cancelled at the last minute on Tuesday after they received the news.

It's understood that O'Neill, 50, was tested for the sixth time on Monday and his positive result came back from the EFL after the Stoke squad arrived at Carrington for the friendly match.

If Manchester City’s two-year ban from the Champions League is upheld, Manchester United will be linked with a shocking moving for Raheem Sterling.

The UK government has announced that all non-essential retail stores will reopen on June 15 as part of plans to further ease the lock down measures.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday night disclosed this at the daily Downing Street press conference.

He said some easing of retail will begin along with primary school openings planned from June 1, with outdoor markets and car showrooms among those allowed to become operational from next week.

Shanghai Shenhua expect Odion Ighalo to return from his loan spell at Manchester United in time for the start of the new Chinese Super League season, which is scheduled to begin in July.

Manchester United are keen to extend Ighalo’s loan to cover the end of the Premier League season, the date of which remains unclear amid the coronavirus pandemic.

As it stands, Shanghai Shenhua will only allow Ighalo to remain at Old Trafford if it is on a permanent deal and the Chinese club value him upwards of £20m.

It is a possibility that Newcastle United would be interested in Ighalo if their proposed takeover is completed this summer.

Japan's Olympic minister says the coronavirus outbreak could lead to the Tokyo Games being staged later in 2020.

Seiko Hashimoto's response to a question - that the contract to stage the Games states they have to take place in 2020 - in the upper house of parliament means the Olympics could be held later in the year and would not have to start on July 24 as planned. The Paralympics open on August 25.

The Tokyo Olympics are being threatened by the fast-spreading virus that has been blamed for 12 deaths in Japan and has shut down most schools, sports competitions and Olympic-related events in the country.

Argentina national football team, La Albiceleste assistant coach, Roberto Ayala, has weighed in with his verdict in the debate about who is the greater Argentine superstar between Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi.

Ayala who is also a former Argentina captain, compares the two greatest footballers to come out of his country. After featuring as Maradona’s junior in the national team, the onetime central defender was Messi’s senior also in the Albiceleste team.

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has tested positive for COVID-19 for the fourth time in just six weeks, according to reports.

The Argentine confirmed on March 21 that he and his girlfriend Oriana Sabatini had contracted COVID-19 after his first positive test for the disease, as one of three Juventus players to contract the disease.
