A dissapointed corps member took to Twitter to share a screenshot of a rejection message he got from an undergraduate he asked out.

The lady rejected the corps member because according to her, he can’t take care of her.

Insisting that they can only be friends, the undergraduate also pointed out that corps members are overly dependent on stipend they get from the Federal government at the end of the month.

Kidnappers abducted the daughter of Frank Anioma, a former aide to ex-Governor Chimaroke Nnamani, in New Haven area of Enugu on Thursday.
The former aid said his daughter, Kosiso, was heading to the New Haven market when she got missing.

This was his post on Facebook:
"Please friends and good Nigerians help me my Daughter Kosisochukwu Anioma was kidnapped this morning Thursday 22nd August about 7am on her way to New Heaven market. Her phone +234 902 745 4532 was ringing without response now it's ringing line busy. Please help repost this. Who know God will show us mercy."

President Buhari will be travelling to Japan on Sunday August 25th to take part in the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) which will take place in the City of Yokohama from August 28-30, 2019.

According to a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, President Buhari’s attendance will be his second, having attended TICAD6 in Nairobi, Kenya, in August 2016.

With the theme, “Africa and Yokohama, Sharing Passion for the Future,” the Opening Session of TICAD7 will be performed by the host and Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.

At the event, President Buhari will deliver Nigeria’s statement during Plenary Session Three in which he will appraise Nigeria-Japan relations and takeaways from TICAD6. He will attend a State Banquet and also honour the invitation of Emperor Naruhito to a Tea Reception at the Imperial Palace, Tokyo. In addition to a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Abe, the Nigerian President will also attend some side-events and meet chief executive officers of some Japanese companies with huge investments in Nigeria.

The Actress in her new book, stated that Kwadwo Safo Jnr moved on with the lady he impregnated while they were still married. She made this claim while responding to TV presenter, Akuko Perming for telling her to get back to her ex-husband instead of waiting for Mr Right.

Forbes’s ranking of the world’s highest-paid actors for 2019 is out, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson secured the top spot.

According to the publication, Johnson, whose 2019 film credits include Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw as well as the WWE-themed comedy-drama Fighting with My Family, made $89.4m (£73.7m) between 1 June 2018 and 1 June 2019.

Chris Hemsworth came in second place with estimated earnings of $76.4 million, and Robert Downey Jr.. came in third with reported earnings of $66 million.

A new energy tariff has been approved by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) for the electricity distribution companies (DisCos) in the country.

This was disclosed by the commission on Wednesday, August 21st in a series of publications tagged ‘2016-2018 minor review of the 2015 multi year tariff order’ (MYTO) for each DisCo.

According to the documents, the order became effective from July 1, 2019. The DisCos had cited lack of cost-reflective tariff as its major challenge on the sector, which has also hindered them from investing in their networks.
