Although making first class in any accredited Nigerian University is no child's play but the conditions in some schools has made it so difficult for students to bag first class.Taking Chem. Engineering (UNIZIK)
as an instance,being a student of the dept we were told during our induction that this feat has only be recorded just once,the reason if I may suggest would be as a result of the tight school calender and non compromising policy inherent in the dept.Infact mentioning first class in my dept now attracts little or no attention as it has seemed almost impossible.

I believe that if u've been admitted to study chem.engine that u have what it takes to excel in it.the first thing i would advice u to do is to understand urself and u can work on ur lapses.do not joke with lectures and don't take assignment for granted.marry ur handouts u can also consult ur textbooks for elaborate and clarity purposes.I would also advice u to make few but serious friends who have similar zeal for excellence like u do.believe that you are the best in that dept and work towards achieving that,all u need is to determine priorities and develop procedures.also pay attention to scholarship adverts cos a lot of opportunities abounds.Above all do not play with the God factor for without God's favour u'v nt started.Always say this short prayer"I'm favoured in Jesus name-Amen"Congratulations on your admission hope u make me proud.
