Amorim was swiftly contacted to stem the ugly tide of results under Ten hag at the early stages of the campaign. The idea behind Ten hag's sack was to proactively forestall a disastrous season that was already unfolding at that time.

It is also worthy of mention that nobody put a gun to his head to sign the deal. By appending his signature to that contract as the manager of the team, he takes full responsibility and shall be held accountable at all times.Maybe if it was stipulated in the contract that his accountability starts from next season after the purchase of players or that he wouldnt be paid his weekly wages till next season, you might have a point.

Like I earlier opined, nobody even set any lofty expectations for him this season. He hasnt been given the immediate task of Matching liverpool, neither has he been asked to qualify for the champions league

However, it simply doesn't make any sense if we are significantly worse off than we were under his predecessor who was sacked for poor results early in the season
