I was never really in support of the Ederson deal anyways. I prefer Santos to him. Santos makes our midfield more combative than Ederson.
He can compete with Mainoo for the no 8 position and can also partner Mainoo if needed as part of a double pivot. His touch, defensive tenacity, 1st phase passing are all good. He has 2 question marks: Lack of elite pace and uncertain long range passing (but i think not as bad as Mainoo)

Having said that, i think we still need a more accomplished 6 to be our starter and the options are diminishing by the day. I am not sure the different powers at INEOS are on the same page about what to do.

I understand Ederson deal is still on?.The only thing I v against Santos na his smallish nature. He will surprise many doubters

The thing is most players you think are elites are just above average at best. The difference is a good manager, system, and motivation (if the players are ready to give their all to the club).


Some players you think are elite under pep might flop and become mid under Amorim. We have seen examples here at united where players we thought were finished suddenly became better because Carricks system suits them and they were more motivated.


A squad that is made of above average players, with two or three elite players like bruno are capable of winning anything as long as the system suits them, and they are motivated.

From experience I don't really believe in big names anymore especially English players.

It is difficult for me to determine from here if they are right this time, but my guess is you don't have BOTH at the same time.

To diagnose typhoid a culture (blood or stool) is more accurate. Take your test results and consult a different and more reputable hospital. My guess would be that it is Malaria and not both. Or it could be something totally different.
