There are several reasonable reasons why applicants will be asked to update their details. Changing of address or additional qualification isn't relevant. All such can be presented in d interview. And those speculating that there won't be interview, I still dey laugh una. If u like, don't prepare strongly for interview.

The guy is totally wrong. Many APO guys didn't have to add/remove anything.

They only wanted to know if there are changes in address, e-mail, phone number, e.t.c. since it is almost a year that we submitted applications.

If their credentials and information were missing, they would have not been shortlisted for test.

When I downloaded one of my documents to cross check. I discovered that the documents were saved with my first name and a code number. It was then that I discovered that the documents have been seriously scrutinized.

One of my referee is currently out of the country. Can an email address me made available for referees to forward their recommendation letter for applicants? Secondly, If an applicant is close to all his referees, can He/She collect all recommendation letter and send all together? My reason for such question is that most applicants will be bearing the cost of courier service for both the application letter and recommendation letters from referees.

1. He asked us to get ready for the email/sms and it happened.

2. He said more candidates especially from Engineering field will be invited to interview and will receive mail/sms to update their profile and it happened.

Make your own speculations if you can and if they come to pass, we will also believe you.

The guy really has an insider, you better take his information serious.

Good day all, I have been following this DPR recruitment page with keen interest. I actually joined this forum last year so as to be part of the whole thing.I have read a lot of people's posts, comments and speculations.By rare privilege, last December, I met a very senior official of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, then there was speculation that the recruitment has been cancelled, but this senior official told me that shortlisting is still in progress and the recruitment is still going ahead. When I shared this privilege information to people on this forum, a lot of people attacked and insulted me, since then, I just decided to "siddon and observe ".He also told me when the test would be conducted, so in order to avoid being called a speculator, I just kept it to my self.Just yesterday, I tried all I could to get intouch with this official, when I contacted him, he told me that he was in Lagos on Monday, specifically in DPR for a meeting, he told me that simply because they sent message to some people to update their details, people started using the social media to suggest and speculate on what is not accurate. He said categorically that DPR has not concluded the recruitment, and has not started sending messages for interview. I didn't want to abuse the little privilege that I had, so I dididn't go further. But he also told me that when DPR is ready, they would call successful candidates, which I am praying that many hopeful candidates would be invited.
Before people would begin to call me a speculator, and throw insults and abuses at me. I did not say that I got the specific date and time for the interview, I only made enquiry because of the numerous rumours and speculation about the recruitment.
This senior official of the ministry once worked with Dr. Ibe Kachikwu at Exxon Mobil, and presently a special adviser in the Ministry.

The way you people draw conclusions baffles me. So her portal been open means her name has been added to those to be interviewed You fail to consider that the people doing the finishing touches might realise there are something missing in ones documents or details and needed to give that opportunity to them to input the necessary stuffs!!!

I can't wait to see peoples reaction when the interview invites starts rolling in.

Remember there was a guy on this thread who said that his source told him that more people will be invited for the interview, placing emphasis on those with engineering backgrounds?

A friend of mine who was not sent update message and whose portal was closed since got an update profile text from DPR early hours of today. At first, she thought it was a scam. After convincing her otherwise, She tried to login to her portal and to my surprise, she was able to update her profile. Her profile is currently open and shes an Engineering major.

Some people on this thread do indeed have reliable sources.

DPR cannot ALWAYS demand for original degree cert. No institution does dat. Your original cert is assumed to be ready 3/5years after graduation. If its not ready from your school, then it is not ready. Statement of Result should expire after 5years.

It better to have it than to give excuses. I once attended FBN interview sometimes 2010 and those without FSLC or birthcert were asked to go bk till they are ready. I attended Dangote refinery interview of recent and those that forgot their birth cert were asked to send it via mail within a stipulated period. So u never can tell, get all required certs ready

We should have listing to their opinion instead of wasting our time arguing. I knew they are ready to give us all what they have as far as DPR recruitment as concern. That's a huge mistake from your mum. Getting primary school cert from public school is very easy, all u need is to approach a principal of such schools. However, organizations sometimes do visit primary school to enquire if their staff or staff to be attended such school, this I am very sure of. Xoo if u are meeting anyone to get u a FSLC, ensure he/she includes ur name in all necessary documents. Its unfortunate your school no longer exists, cos the best option would have been going bk to ur primary school

Well its 4rm this thread i knew we need FSLC ie first school leaving certificate. I didnt know i wuld nid it till now..
I did common entrance in pry 5 n didnt finish pry 6 then, i went 2 a pub sec skul 4 only jss1 b4 goin 2 a private sec skul..so wen i kw we wuld need it i tried locating my pry skul was told d proprietress died 6yrs ago n d skul has closed down. Contacted 2 kids of d woman i was told dey av destroyed all d docs of d skul. I rem my pry skul took us 2 a centre 2 write common entrance in d area then, i cnt remember d name of d skul we wrote it. I dont even av d contact of any of my pry skul friends, cnt remember any1. Even goggled my pry skul e no dey google. Sent my mum 2 min of edu she was told that she shuld get centre / exam no wch i dont kw...now both testimonial or fslc i no get. i dont even kw wat 2 do n i wana sort ds tin out b4 dey call 4 interview. I only kw i did common entrance then..so i shuld av fslc but how to get it i dont know.

Dearie, no one is wishing u ill luck. Humans are different, some are fragile and gets worried on little issues. Most comments about portal open or close makes some people tensed, hence its good for all to keep mute regarding such issue till interview invites starts falling in. Please try and hold any analysis regarding such topic to prevent been attacked by someone else.

Let people believe what they want to believe, its their problem. If their portal is closed and they believe and hope that its not the end of the race for them, let them!

Because you always come here to insinuate that if portal is closed, that means its the end. If that's what you believe and have made peace with it and moved on (because that's the idea I get from your posts), then do that! Move on...and leave people alone instead of discouraging. I know somewhere, deep in your heart, you want desperately to fall on the favored side, but behave like it doesn't matter to you.

Instead of putting people in doubt, DPR should send unsuccessful candidates they do not intend to employ regret mails instead of sending a handful update profile mails and keeping their profiles open. You can insult me as you like, it does not change what is blatantly obvious. I wish you the best in this recruitment exercise.

Don't worry, u will receive your regret mail at the right time since that's what u want for yourself. For the main time, stay put and hold ur opinion to urself

I just even called a friend of mine who was not even invited for the aptitude test in July. She just told me that she is unable to login to her portal. Its telling her application portal closed. If someone who was not invited for aptitude test has the same fate, you can imagine it is the same for those that were invited for the aptitude test. Its just too obvious. DPR should have just sent a regret mail to clarify this issue once and for all
