80% merit!!! Be deceiving urself oo... Even NPower now isn't 80% merit. U expect a juicy job like DPR to be on merit! U haven't even prayed to see 20% merit sef. A job like this is what politicians use to settle their debt. Only few lucky ones gets in without connection neverdown999: The truth is that, if some don't make it, they will blame it on the system even if they perform woefully during the interview. Well, letters are ready and it's 80% merit, no kidding!!!!
To the negative ones, pls change your negative mindsets!!!!! Nigeria is bad, but people still get things based on merit!!!! |

Later u will say u are not one of the trainees, yet u have all these inside info deepwater: It's not a coincidence, the truth about the refinery is not being told.
In no way, I repeat noway will that refinery be ready by 2020, when in 2018 we are still discussing piling of foundation?? . It's a single train refinery for those who understand.
Mr Edwin, could you explain why thirteen (13 ) young engineers-in-training Dangote took to INDIA for refinery training resigned on their own? Some resigned from new Delhi and Mumbai, even paid for their own air tickets back to lagos. They just couldn't stand the lies been told on the news and watch their future being held to Ransome.
Tell the truth, stop politics. The rate at which the cbn is selling forex to Dangote, he will never complete this project. Baba dey take the money dey fund other things. Selling at 134 like say na only Dangote need help. |

Don't worry urself on whatever they say here. If u sent urs tru courier service, and tracked it till it was received by the receiver, then u are safe. Going there urself doesn't guarantee u the job. If its urs, means of submission won't matter. Cheers seyialabi: What explanation can you give sir? Let's know our fate, those of us that used courier services already. If we might need to resend |

So I was told. I had to ask a friend, Warri indigene and he confirmed affirmatively. AmiableG: Must one cross water before he/she gets to the school Isn't the school accessible through road? |
Education › Re: Nigerian Maritime University 2017 Recruitment by EngrVin: 8:34pm On Dec 12, 2017 |
NIPOST cannot deliver ur message cos of the school location... The sender must cross water to get to the school. I used a courier service and my documents spent four days in Delta state before it was finally delivered. I kept sending the company mails until they expained to me that the school location isnt easily reachable. Try faster services if u can't go to the school urself. Cheers Yajman: NIPOST arent collecting CVs again.. Why? |

I sent mine through courier service. It took a week to be delivered from Kaduna to the school, it was received by Mr. Ebikeme Charles... I stand to be corrected, cos I don't know his title seyialabi: How sure can we be that the postal agencies will deliver the package?
I know how things work in such a place. A nasu staff is expected to collect the document, sign for it and receive. NMU may not have nasu yet though, maybe some contract or temporary staff. But a courier delivery is kind of risky. |

Abeg tell am. In this modern world, no organization will advertise jobs or quotation for the entire country and request it to be brought personally to the said office. motivationspika: There is no place it was stated that you must submit it personally. A friend used DHL and what WILL be WILL be. Imagine leaving Yola to Warri this time. |

There are different mailing services. I will advice you use redstar or DHL. It will be delivered to the office of the Registrar. I don't have issues to worry about anything ichiexy01: They had specific instruction from NIMASA and the MAnager in question showed me the text, with the deadline for 23rd of November after which couriers were not to collect as they wwill not be accepted. Since i know the deadline for the application is six weeks from publication.. I am also asking how do we go forward..
1. Are theyy still accepting in person 2. The Idea of using ordinary post, will it still get to the school. since they have to get to the post office to receive such |

Hmmm.... We are all learned I guess. If this is the first time u are sending such kinda documents, travel from Maiduguri to Delta State u hear ba? Since you have all the time and money plus risk to spare. In this modern world you must submit application in person? I still dey laugh you kuchikau1: bro, go there in person. There is a secret reason y i said so. If u observe, d NMU GUY HAVE STOPPED ANSWERING UNMCESSARY QUESTIONS. Forget those who use/want to use courier service. U will be provided a link 4 ur referee to submit their recomdatn. Gudluck. |

There are express courier services u can use. Some will take 3 - 10days. Don't use Nipost or EHS oo... They do disappoint. U can also track ur documents online till it get delivered to the required office. Sending mine on Monday God's willing. Good luck. motivationspika: deadline is December 20 |
Education › Re: Nigerian Maritime University 2017 Recruitment by EngrVin: 6:06pm On Nov 28, 2017 |
No referee will have time to send such for u. The best is for u to get it urself and send. That's the method I'm using. Expecting to get all letters by weekend and post it on Monday. Eleba: Did you submit your recommedation letter with your cv and was it accepted....i mean the recommendation letter My referees are not willing to forward it to the school themselves |

If you are sending any mail tru post office, as far as the address is correctly written, the post office shipping personnel will take it to the stated address. ichiexy01: They had specific instruction from NIMASA and the MAnager in question showed me the text, with the deadline for 23rd of November after which couriers were not to collect as they wwill not be accepted. Your questions makes no sense to me. Number 1. This isn't the first time I am writing a CBT test, xoo plsss don't coach me on how itbis bn done. Number 2. I never said I helped people on nairaland, neither did I say I helped people I don't know physically. I private chatted people doing such on the WhatsApp groups I belong to. One thing I believe is this, What ever that is yours is definitely yours. I never wanted to comment, but you coaching me on CBT exams!!!... Dats wrong Onyiridike: I am moved to comment because I believe that we are supposed to learn from our mistakes.
Take your time and ask yourself these salient questions:
1. Did I save my answers and the red colour appeared for confirmation before I proceeded to the next question?
2. How am I sure that the people I thought I was helping are not DPR staff who visit nairaland for information? Have they blacklisted me because of what I did which is tatamount to malpractice?
You may argue that your username is not your realname but by simply sending you a PM , I can get your details. This is the reason why I don't give out my phone number for what'sap.
We should be careful of what we do on nairaland, you simply do not know the calibre of people that come here. |

This might be the last time I will post on this thread. Some are saying those called are on merit, I laugh. Some blame those that wrote on the first day and distributed questions. I wrote on the fourth day been Thursday and I will say categorically that I benefitted from the hints shared here. I have the said GMAT 2012 edition, a copy I bought years back while preparing for NNPC 2014 exams. I shared pictures of such to over 20candidates via WhatsApp yet only one of them was called for interview, when they all testified they did well in the test. My test was 3english section and two maths section, which I was very familiar with the questions and answers for the English section. I am very good in maths and as such, DAT section was a bonus. After d test, I went back to d GMAT and calculated my expected score to be 80%+.... Yet my portal is closed. And someone says its on merit I weep for Nigeria. A country were the elites hustle the juicy jobs for their kids and MSc holders weep for not getting the poverty suppression program (Npower) . NNPC is planning for recruitment first quarter of next year, and the slots are already been shared. Take it or leave it. Thank God I have AUST Abuja to keep me busy, while I figure out how to leave this country for good. All these are reasons Nigerians in diaspora will never come back... Those called for the interview, if u know u don't have any top notch. Pray very well... That's my advice for all. I wish all Nigerians success in our various career pursuit, and pray we all take that decision to speak out always, and let our voice count. Change begins with You and I. Cheers |

Why will they refuse sending a simple envelope through, as they treat other items? I still don't understand what u meant by this info. Did uvtry DHL or Redstar? I intend sending my letter through one of these courier services reason because I can track the message tru their online tracking system. Doubt if NIPOST have such means for tracking... ichiexy01: Courier Services like EMS has stop collecting application as instructed by NIMASA... What's the way to go?? NIPOST still sending but not via courier just the normal post... Any light on this new development? |
