The Central Message was to charge students to become problem solvers rather than job seekers ....
|
Most people now look at school as a means to get a job. So the popular advice is “go to school so you can get a good job”. The reason why we go to school is not to get a job, if not we all could get one without going to school. School, should be looked upon as a means of adding value to oneself, not a passport for getting a job. While in school you are asked to pay school fees, we all pay because the school is adding value to us. My Point: whoever adds value get rewarded, while in school don’t stop adding value to yourself, because your certificate is only one part of the value chain, the greater your value to the market place the more money you earn #StudentsCorner #Beaproblemsolvernotajobseeker ZION OSHIOBUGIE CEO, CLEVER MINDS 08137506467 |
If your Parents Love you enough to Invest in your Education by Paying your School Fees (secondary & Tertiary), it is only normal that you return that love by Studying and getting good grades You deserve to Pass your Exams! #StudentsCorner With Zion oshiobugie OAP CROWN FM WARRI, DELTA STATE CEO, CLEVER MINDS |
In 2012, a total of 1,503,889 applicants registered for UTME and 500,000 were nailed as the carrying capacity of the entire Tertiary Institutions for that year (2012). This means that over 1.5 million candidates will be fighting for about 500,000 available admission space i.e. 30% available admission slots in Nigeria Tertiary Institutions. So, the question now is; what is now going to be the fate of the remaining 70%?. You should be determined to be amongst the selected few that will gain admission next year I will be sharing with you proven secrets on how to get admission into the university, but I would not like to jump the gun: before we go into “the how to”, the most important question is: do you want to get admission? “The want to” is the most important step to getting admission, you must want it so bad that you are ready to take the desired steps to achieve it. Another question you must ask yourself is why do I want to gain admission into school? a) Is it to show off b) Is it to extort money from my parents 5 c) Do I want it because I want to run far from home to avoid my parents trouble d) Is it to prove a point to my friends who were admitted before me Strike out all the wrong reasons for getting admission and list out ten right reasons why you want to be admitted a) I want to be admitted because I want to transform the engineering sector b) I want to be admitted because I have a passion to save life‟s c) I want this admission because I deserve it Make sure you have a strong reason why you must be an undergraduate this year and get rid of any excuse you‟ve always had. What are your excuses, why do you think admission is hard? Some people they say things like you need to have money in this country to get admission, others say you need to know someone to get admission, some say admission is hard. Whatever your excuses are get rid of them now and realize that all you want in life is available to you. Brian Tracy once said “never complain, never explain resist the temptation to make excuses and defend yourself. Let‟s look at the dictionary meaning of admission, Admission means entry to a place that is open to the public, that means it is your right to be an undergraduate of any tertiary institution of your choice, but over the years more students have had to stay at home for another year due to lack of enlightenment and not due to failure in post ume ZION OSHIOBUGIE, Insightful teacher, Motivational speaker, Comedian and On Air Personality. It is always advised that when getting ready for an exam you should get past questions, why? So that it can guide you on the kind of questions you should be expecting and sometimes, questions are being repeated; same is applicable to post-Utme exams, questions are often time repeated. Past questions also gives you a clue to how the school structures it questions I would also advice that you rephrase, paraphrase and restructure the question so that no matter the form or manner it decides to show up you will be able to tear it down! Don’t get me wrong, Past Q and A should not replace TEXT BOOKS or NOTEBOOKS. It is only a guide, never forget that. You will get admission this Year! #StudentsCorner Follow me on twitter @zionoshiobugie, IG: zion oshiobugie Got questions on Admission or Need Motivation? Call: 08137506467

The fact that a university is popular doesn’t mean it is the only available institution. If you are determined to go there no problem just ensure to get my book on HOW TO GET ADMISSION INTO THE UNIVERSITY where I explained the admission percentage ratio as outlined by JAMB for all universities. My candid advise to you is to stay away from the Most Selected Institutions as outlined below; • University Of Lagos (Unilag) • University Of Benin (Uniben) • University of Nigeria (UNN) • University Of Ilorin (Unilorin) • Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Akwa. (Unizik) • Federal University of Technology, Owerri (Futo) • University of Ibadan (UI) • University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) this are some of the most popular institutions in Nigeria. The reason why i advice that you stay away from these universities is to boost your chances of admission, not because you are not intelligent, but because admission slots are very limited, the competition in these institutions is higher and if it is not your catchment area, then your chance of getting admitted is equal to zero. Take note of this as you will remember it when Admission commence. Just in case you still choose any of the universities above, you need to read very hard and then I would also advise that you buy their past questions on time so as to further equip you. Life is beyond choosing a university because your friends are going there. Need Motivation? Call; 08036969390

Most of you have streamlined yourself to only the university, some of you get so angry when the word POLYTECHNIC OR COLLEGE OF EDUCATION is mentioned as though these were irrelevant institutions, but it ought not to be so. Let‟s look at the word UTME: it means UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION. The word TETIARY comprises of university, polytechnic, monotechnics and college of education but most of you have this mindset that UTME popularly called JAMB is only for universities Have a change in your mindset as regards polytechnics and college of education; embrace the fact that they are all HIGHER INSTITUTIONS OF LEARNING. You may have chosen UNIBEN for instance to study engineering and you didn‟t get the required marks for admission or you didn‟t pass the POST UTME, then you will give up saying things like God forbid! I can‟t go to polytechnic What matters is your dream, and if your dream is to become a graduate, you can also go to a polytechnic to get OND and then apply for direct entry into any university of your choice. It‟s all about what you come out with in the end. I know some people would argue that the polytechnics don‟t offer courses like medicine and a few others, So don’t get me wrong, my friend I am not saying you must go to a polytechnic instead of the university, I am only saying you give all these institutions a try and you will be the one to select where to go to For My complete Handbook on how to get Admission into Tertiary institution this year Find me on fb@zion oshiobugie or call 08036969390
