Politics › Re: We Can’t Disclose Details Of Buhari’s Assets - CCB by eni123: 9:43pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
this country is a shit hole State001: The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has said it cannot disclose the details of President Muhammadu Buhari’s assets to the public, Igbere TV reports.
This was in response to a request by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), seeking a disclosure of assets declaration submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari in May.
Igbere TV recalls that President Buhari on Monday, May 27 received an asset declaration form from the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), two days before his inauguration for a second term.
The form was presented to the president inside the Presidential Villa in Abuja by the Chairman of the CCB, Professor Muhammad Isa, who visited the State House in company of other leaders of the CCB.
But the CCB said the information requested by SERAP cannot be provided on the grounds of ‘invasion of privacy’.
In a letter signed by Mr. Musa Usman, on behalf of CCB chairman, he said the request “falls short of the requirement of the law”.
The letter sighted by Igbere TV said only the National Assembly can prescribe conditions for the release of the forms, but such conditions are yet to be prescribed.
Reacting, however, SERAP in a statement sent to Igbere TV by its Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare, said the group will challenge the decision of the CCB at the court, adding that “declaration forms are public information, and not private information”.

Politics › Re: Fulani Herdsmen Make Fresh Demands From FG, Northern Governors by eni123: 9:34pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
festacman: I totally agree with this suggestion. I think it is a brilliant one. It sounds forward-looking and developmental enough for both Federal and state governments to adopt and implement. First, it will solve security problems as extension officers will hear herdmen complaints first-hand and timely to initiate immediate resolution. Second, it will increase livestock production, create employment, expand meat production and boost foreign exchange earnings.
However, the only problem is that it is coming from a Fulani group that is more sensible than Miyetti Allah, which is actually the troublesome group. Will adopting this idea restore corporate sanity and remove bloodletting tendency from Miyetti Allah? If the answer is positive then we can shout "Eureka!", knowing we will soon sleep with two eyes closed. seriously this country is a mess |

Crime › Re: Police Receive List Of Animals To Sacrifice For Detaining Chief Priest In Edo by eni123: 7:54pm On May 09, 2019 |
EmagNig: The arrest and detention of a Chief priest in Edo, The Chief Priest of Okhuaihe shrine, Osarodion Usuanlele, the Ohen N’ Ukoni Neyedo, at the Edo Police headquarters in Benin City, has caused mayhem in the ancient city.
In a report by The Nation, with the priest’s detention, an age-long tradition which says the Ohen N’ UKoni does not enter Benin, the abode of the Oba, had been desecrated. The truth is that people should learn to obey tradition because it brings life and also kills
Consequently, three dogs were slaughtered as isacrifices were carried out near the police headquarters before the chief priest was released.
Additionally, a list of other items has been given to the police for cleansing sacrifice the land.
The items include 14 native cows, tortoise, sheep, goats, cocks, among others.
It was also gathered that the tradition was started in the 15th century by Oba Ewuare the great.
The chief priest’s shrine is located at Evbiekoi, in Uhunwode Local Government Area, and as part of coronation rites, he would have a symbolic wrestle with the Crown Prince. Both of them would go opposite ways, never to see each other again, once the Crown Prince becomes the Oba.
Trouble started last week when operatives of the anti-cultism unit stormed Evbiekoi community following on a petition by John Elvis (aka Atekha), an ex-official of the banned Community Development Association (CDA), The Nation reports.
Briefing reporters on the incident, Secretary of Evbiekoi community, Chief Paul Ajayi said: “The policemen shot sporadically and insisted on taking Chief Priest Usunalele to Benin City, despite pleas that the man does not enter Benin or he would die.
“A strange and mysterious downpour, accompanied by violent wind, thunder and lightning, were part of the signs of desecration.
“The Oba got the signs of desecration and presence of Ohen N’ UKoni, and sent emissaries to the Police Commissioner, Danmallam Abubakar, after confirming that the Chief Priest was in Benin.”
Meanwhile, the Police Commissioner, Dan has ordered policemen involved in the arrest of Ohen N’ Ukoni to be detained to allay rising tensions in Benin as various youth groups are reportedly preparing to cause mayhem over the alleged desecration of the Benin culture

DeLinguaMan: The Arewa Consultative Youth Forum (AYCF) says that the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his cabals have hijacked over the country.
AYCF President, Yerima Shettima stated this in an interview on Monday, while lamenting that the South-West was allegedly ruling the country by proxy.
Reacting to clamours that the South-East should produce Nigeria’s President in 2023, Shettima insisted that power must remain in the North because Tinubu and his cabals have allegedly taken over the country.
He stated that North will hold unto power in 2023 after which it may decide to handover to the South-East.
Shettima told Daily Post:
