Marriage is honestly a setback. A brother in my church which I assist as moderator, is refusing to marry. Why? He used to tell some married sisters that are mounting pressure on him that it will set him back from the wonderful service he is rendering to the Lord which he treasures most.

A have a Pastor friend, the general overseer of a church, 46 not married. He tells me that he is not married because God has kept telling him that time is not ripe yet.

Am a Christian, it means I have given the control of my life to Jesus Christ. He is the person that decides what I do or not.

But I have free will in areas where He hasn't spoken clearly. Personally, for me I have chosen singlehood for life because it brings so much peace and order.

But, if God says otherwise tomorrow, which I don't believe He will say. Because this is the last days. God is more interested in people making Heaven than getting married. Then we will know what to do about it.

Actually, I pray to God to turn the good wife and beautiful wonderful children into money, houses and cars for me.

Of a truth I tell you today. I can't bring myself to think about giving up the get up and go freedom am enjoying as a single young man.

Marriage is honestly a setback? With all due respect,Then i wont be wrong to conclude that you are a setback,(being a product of marriage) or otherwise you were born out of careless sexual escapades.

Nonetheless, it is quite appalling that your decisions are based on a brother in your church, and your pastor friend, forgetting that they are mare mortals, You should know the rest .......

Please study 1 Corinthians 7:1-40, pay more attention to verse 30.

I would want to assume that you meant 'I have a pastor friend' and not 'A have a Pastor friend' .

I implore you to read 1 Corinthians 7:1-40, singling out a chapter can be misleading

OP I must agree that you have some strong valid points, nonetheless, which religion do you practice? If Christianity, and you do believe in the bible, then I'm sure you must have read or heard that "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD" (Proverbs 18:22)
