CHAPTER THREE
"Why are you smiling to yourself ?" Iya Dada,my fat ,nosy neighbour asked me. I just brushed past her, ignoring her prying eyes. I was not in the mood for her gossip today.
I got inside the one room apartment i shared with my parents and two sisters hoping to find something to eat,but unfortunately all I met was empty pots and plates shining their teeth at me.
You see the funny part is that I was not sad in fact I was elated because the unimaginable happened in school today. "THE OYINBO BOY"
MAYOMIKUN: Hi pretty
I looked around to be sure he was referring to me but lo and behold I was the only girl in sight so I replied with the sweetest voice of all.

MAYOMIKUN Brown is not your everyday guy. He is tall and slim not thin o,he had an athletic figure, sapphire eyes, pink lips,dimples on his cheek and when he smiles the world stops and stares for a while.He looked out of this world.There was just one word to describe him"PERFECT ".

He walked faster but on getting to the door they heard someone screaming

They moved closer and they could hear wemimo screaming "why would you let him go to a government school,my own son"
The man was trying to calm her down"wemimo he wanted to go there "
MAYOMIKUN: you know what let's go in
They went inside

So mom has started her akara business and have started hawking too.My class mates know already and as expected the bullying has started.

The kind of school I attend is what you call the government school with class.unlike your normal government which is characterised by high level of indiscipline and rascality ,my school is different.we have the lower class,the middle and the upper classic.No need to ask I know what you are thinking"hmmmm"Yes I belong to the lower class.

Things have not been rosy for the past few months, every now and then there is always a bad news from mom's sack to dad's ailment,it seems like God has turned his back on us.
