jtmoneyjt: BIRD KILLED IN A BIG WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! SWEEEEEETTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!for the indices, you change the Start Time from NOW* to any of the time slots under it, after which you can then set Duration to the number of minutes you want. |
puskin: yep.....so wat do U have in mind.....a RISE BET??reminds me of what happened to USD/CAD during the NFP. it was going up, NFP came out and it shot up. I expected it to go down after NFP fever, but it kept going up. EUR/AUD is looking like that too, but i keyed into AUD/JPY against the 03:00 GMT news on JPY. Won the Australian Index fall btw, and keyed into a 2nd one for 0 day FALL. @jt: 3 stars means it will shake the market very much (fall or rise). 1 star means it wont have much impact. if you click on the news, u can then read about what will make it rise or fall. |
jtmoneyjt: pls oga sir even doh u dnt lik the name jst giv me 1 small clue on indices how to know how to trade it plsu can try this on ur demo or with a small amount: 1. go to http://www.fxstreet.com/fundamental/economic-calendar/ 2. you will see there is 01:30 GMT news on AUD with 3 star rating 3. place a bet that Australian Index will fall by 01:20 latest (01:00, 01:00 or 01:20 GMT also good) 4. Luckily, it opened high so u will be able to get in at a high price 5. depening on the outcome of the news, it may continue going up or go down after 01:30 GMT, so always target 20mins to 30mins before any major news for a FALL bet on any of the indices affected by that news Good luck! |
ayox2003: Season 4 already. Good!Amen! @house: been busy reading and researching. Will join l8er! |

Fxmagnate: Sound advice to ponder upon for the weekendHappy New Week everyone! More greens to your elbows. |
fxbomovi: What a great week. This week alone- my money was tripled. Thank Godcongrats! but 90% of that 200% ROI must have been from Forex, unless you made some BOM trades you didnt post here? I was going to ask what % you use(d) for money mgt, but did the calculation myself (got 20% min - 25% max), using the alerts you dropped this week. Part of what led me to believe you must have made some extra trades. Just saying, in case people are looking to key in next week. Would be nice to get feedback from those using Pappy's signals too. Congrats all the same. |
mkmyers45: Are you dropping the signals cos i no get chart?me sef no get "chart" na BOM Graph i use that time, and i no think say e go fit handle NFP basically, depending on the figures announced, we'll see the market movement and scalp the early 20mins on forex as e dey comot for 1:30pm sef, we fit use am open Wall Street then we fit extrapolate enter FTSE go clean mouth there too for market close |
mkmyers45: Mr Sleek Snipermy guy, na idea i dey use oh! |
toluxa1: Kai, dis indices wound me small osorry ... u go use NFP recoup http://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/09/non-farm-payroll-report.asp#axzz1zpYHGKZW |
jtmoneyjt: u know on forex factory u match their time with the time on ur computer so that u get the actual time for ur time zonethanks. just saw it as 12:30 GMT somewhere |
jtmoneyjt: 1.30pm nigerian time(giving 30mins choppings window from 1:30pm to 2:00pm naija time on forex, then 5pm to 6pm target range on Euro Indices) |
EnterPRO: abeg, na which time dis news go comot? The release of the American Non-Farm Payrolls is a circus in the forex market. Here are 5 notes to watch out for in every Non-Farm Payrolls release during the financial crisis: Note number 5 is the most important one – the knee jerk reaction. 1. New traders – stay away: Trading during this volatile period is very risky. Take a break and enjoy the weekend. 2. Action before the release: Strange moves begin in the markets well before the release at 3. Friday effect: Strong moves in a certain direction – either dollar strength or dollar weakness, can be seen hours after the release, usually in the last hour of the London session – between 16:00 to 17:00 GMT. This is the move that will determine the close of the week, and thus have a real long term effect. This is the full reaction. 4. Technical barriers can be broken – support and resistance lines, uptrend support or downtrend resistance lines can be breached around the release of the NFP. This is usually only temporary – the graph returns to normal after a while, and these lines are respected again. 5. Initial reaction is wrong: the initial reaction to the release is in the wrong direction: the knee jerk reaction is usually “normal”: good data yields dollar strength and bad data yields dollar weakness. This is very temporary! We are still in the global crisis, and the risk factor rules. So, minutes after the “normal” reaction, the risk factor kicks in and eventually the opposite happens: good data yields dollar weakness (risk appetite), while bad data yields dollar strength (risk aversion). http://www.forexcrunch.com/5-notes-for-non-farm-payrolls-trading/ A surprise announcement can impact the market in many ways. For example, February’s figure was forecast to be 150k, from a previous figure of 203k, but actually 243k was announced. This was 93k more than what the market was expecting. On the back of this news, GBP/USD moved from a high of 1.5836 to a low of 1.5755 in the space of just 30 minutes. That was a move lower of 80 pips. |
EnterPRO: as per NFP: AU, NU seem to be FALLing, while UC looks to RISE. So, here are three scenarios for the immediate reaction to the Non-Farm Payrolls:abeg, na which time dis news go comot? |
ayox2003: Okay.TGIF ! |
ayox2003: Wanted to go for 10m but felt too short.well, when targeting market open, i prefer first 10mins. U know BOM wont start at 07:00 GMT. They will quote the last closing price, the opening price at 07:00, then the first price at 07:10 my rationale is that an Index that is going to OPEN LOW will be green/red at 07:00 and red at 07:10 from then, anything can happen. so i chop the first available 10mins at 07:20 and if sentiment strong, i book another the only reason i see to book a FALL at 07:30 is if you are expecting a GREEN at 07:20, which is highly unlikely in a market thats due to OPEN LOW when you said first 20mins, i actually thought you were placing 2 bets in the first 20mins, not 1 bet If i expect a market to FALL IN THE EARLY hours but not necessarily open low, i target the 30mins and 1hr markers i.e 07h30 and 08h00 and add enough minutes to my entry point to exit at those markers partly why i went 90mins on NU and AU, i wanted to exit at the top of the hr |
ayox2003: Next time, tell us. We should have won 2 atleast.https://www.nairaland.com/975513/betonmarkets-alerts-season-3/78#11344591 EnterPRO: hmmn, na first 10mins i book oh |
ayox2003: These days, its like everyone has turned the market to lotto. The world is gambling with the market. No one whats to be involved in long-term investments and its killing the market. We BOM traders are now looking for where to sneak in to make some cash. No 5days trades or even 24hrs trades anymore. Its not our fault, though. Thats the way the world is at the moment and we must follow the trend else na "broke-lyn" person go dey.here's one for you: Bet Idea:LOL !!! The guys at BOMUniversity must be jokers, no? |
ayox2003: I lost All. How come u won?i did 10mins on Spanish and German. Seems u did 20mins? i later purchased a German by slip while trying to buy French at 07h30 |
toluxa1: I entered only AU, and I won. But german, french and Spanish looks terrible.happy 4u . Even though i said NU was performing better, huh? won my 2nd German |
mkmyers45: not too far from..both bets lostwow. sorry about that i entered NU 0.8026 and AU at 1.026 Lost 1st German, won Spanish and the 2nd German |
mkmyers45: my own red owhat price did you enter? did you target those prices i gave? |
EnterPRO: how many did you enter?won both. Thank God. was too close for comfort |
toluxa1: @EnterPRO..... Hmmmmmmhow many did you enter? both are back in the money, 4mins to my exit time fingers crossed |
mkmyers45: Im not sure...what are you doing?they both reached support and started climbing not sure if they've hit a new resistance and will start falling again,, but even if they fall again, it probably wont be below the prices we entered we still have 30mins to 45mins to watch and see where things are going, but if you can chop while its climbing, go for it |
mkmyers45: Really?check the charts 30mins RISE trades might work? |
prince123: its currently at 1.0258,,if yu love me you go pray for me.....looks like they are both rising ... time to place a counter trade? |
mkmyers45: So you leave us for jangolover?lol! no be so na ... 2hrs go favor una well well @niyi: the 8:10 na naija time oh. y una no kuku ma enter am now? |
ayox2003: Spanish, UK, German and French.i avoided UK cos i saw FTSE was up on Bloomberg. why not substitute Italy instead? |
