Jesus made clear that his followers would be unified by love and by truth.

None of the hierarchies of Christendom are unified by love and truth. They have a form of business-like unity by means of superimposed doctrines that twist scripture and cause divisions while cultivating pride and competition.

The true "group" of God's followers today will come out of all various backgrounds and denominations. Anyone following Christ as king is part of that group. You cannot follow Christ as king AND follow hypocritical religious leaders who demand people compromise God's standards.

"We must obey God as ruler rather than men" and "one is our leader, the Christ."

Jesus is who God has appointed as king of those who call themselves "Christians" and "witnesses of Jehovah."

If a person calls themself "Christian" but doesn't obey Christ, or if a person calls themself a "witness of Jehovah" but disregards Jehovah's direction, how do you think God and Christ will view that person?

Jehovah and Jesus did not set up a 501c3 tax-exempt organization. Jesus said to pay back Caesar's things to Caesar and God's things to God.

If an organization claims to be following Jehovah and Jesus and volunteers at hospitals or knocks on doors sharing Bibles or builds physical temples, but then disregards love and respect for fellow humans made in God's image, then Jesus made clear how he will judge such people.

"Lord, Lord did we not preach in over 235 lands in your name and did we not hand out Watchtower magazines to strangers in your name and in Jehovah's name?" And Jesus will say to them "I said to show love. I said to forgive those who were sorry the same day without a Sanhedrin judicial committee in the back room and removing people from the synagogue and things like that. Get away from me, you workers of unrighteousness! I never knew you!"

God's glory is shown upon those whom He pours glory out on. Those who make God's name known like Jesus made it known. God's reputation was what Jesus was concerned about.

The Watchtower-affiliated organizations have heaped reproach on God's name and reputation, just as the other Christendom churches have heaped reproach on God's name and reputation.

For instance, the Watchtower has perpetuated lies about women and treated them as inferior, something that is not in harmony with God's Word or His holy spirit.

This is exactly what i personally concluded even without reading it anywhere all i heard from them is that they believe the world will end in the year 1914 but as things turn out nothing happened that year and the first Watchtower President in person of Charles Taze Russell died in 1916 and the rest of the group were arrested only to be released in the year 1919 and spontaneous they began preaching and teaching throughout the world until today.

Ọmọ i went back to have a personal study of my Bible without them {Act 17:11} and through the study i discovered that Jesus who returned to earth in 1914 was checking all the religions claiming Christians but none was willing to make amendments in their errors so he chose them in the year 1919 and hand over the assignment for them to gather all faithful and obedient humans throughout the earth that year.

Too bad you didn't ask Jehovah God or Jesus to help you understand what you were reading rather than rely upon your own "discoveries."

Holy spirit and God's Word make clear that Jesus did not "return in 1914" since not all the anointed were sealed yet and the error of the religious institutions had not come to a completion according to God's judgment at that time of 1914 yet.

Revelation makes clear the timeline of events: first the anointed are all sealed, then Jesus takes the throne in heaven (which begins the 3 1/2 year foretold "appointed times of the nations" aka "a short period of time" during which the Devil is cast down and God's judgments are carried out first on the religious institutions and then on the human governments. None of the anointed have been resurrected yet, that doesn't happen until the end of the 3 1/2 year tribulation, which we are currently partway into, as you can tell because Watchtower is getting plagued in harmony with Jehovah's will.

Jesus said he was our leader. The "group" following Jesus does not need to be affiliated with any 501c3 tax-exempt corporation. The entire Watchtower hierarchy structure is based on misapplication of scripture.

There have been children living at Bethel many times.

Watchtower says that Daniel 4 can be used to calculate some kind of "Gentile Times" thing.

The whole idea of a "Gentile Times" ending in Jewish rule was an apostate teaching that permeates the apocryphal books like Maccabees.

The unfaithful Jews who rejected Jesus were looking for the end of what they wrongly viewed as "the Gentile Times" so they could reestablish an apostate ungodly kingdom on earth. The current Zionistic political movements are extensions of such apostasy.

Jesus made clear that God's Kingdom is not earthly. "My kingdom is no part of this world."

Faithful Jews made up the foundation of the Christian congregation. When they asked Jesus about the time of the kingdom he said "no man knows the day or the hour" and also "it does not belong to you to know the times or seasons in the Father's jurisdiction."

Jesus did not want his followers to try to calculate some date for when the kingdom would begin in heaven.

If the "1914" date could have been calculated, then surely Jesus with his perfect mind would have known it, since the book of Daniel was available back in the days Jesus walked the earth as a human.

There is no "secondary fulfillment" of Daniel chapter 4. The Watchtower leader losers cut and pasted their "1914" thing right from a pyramid-sun-worship-idolatry-blasphemous-demonic theory. Then they taped a bunch of unrelated Bible verses on top of it and tried to sell it by repeating it over and over.

As far as world conditions go, weren't the bombs in Hiroshima in WWII worse than anything that happened in 1914? Aren't the weapons today more destructive than anything in WWI?

So in a nutshell what you're saying in essence is that Jehovah's Witnesses organization is the only religion you and your family can attend as best even though there are WOLVES among them.
Or you just don't want to associate with people who are worshiping as one big family of worshipers because they are not perfect as you dream of true religion.

The current WT GB says that the FDS was appointed in 1919. They say at that time Jesus examined all the Christian-type religions and that the Watchtower was the most faithful and so they got appointed to rule the world, ahem, preach to the world.

Here are some questions:
(1) If WT was so faithful, why do they disregard Jesus' clear instruction thru Paul at 2 Thessalonians chapter 3 about marking and avoiding those who won't work secularly to support their own ministry? According to that chapter, the Circuit Overseers, the Bethelites, and the GB are all acting in opposition to Christ's counsel by taking "special vows of poverty" so they can live off donations of others.

(2) If WT was really "set free from Babylon" then why were they still teaching about pyramids and astrology and other forms of sun-worship even in the 1920s? And if you look closer, you can see that the 1914 doctrine is just cut and pasted from all that pyramidology with a few scriptures twisted and taped over it.

(3) Jehovah is the God of truth. If the Watchtower leaders were really witnesses of Jehovah, then they wouldn't have to keep changed "truth" - they'd already be teaching it. The truth doesn't change. When Watchtower changes their "current truth" they are bearing witness against themselves that the "old truth" wasn't really true - which makes them liars and false prophets and not witnesses of Jehovah.

You have a way of twisting things, @maxindhouse, that is quite J-W-ish.

I do not allow my kids to go to meetings unless I can go to protect them, since the so-called "shepherds" there are more like wolves.

I did try to support my husband recently by attempting to go to the convention on a Sunday morning session (he wanted us to go as a family), but I was kicked out after the circuit overseer found out I was there since they view me locally as a "known apostate."

I had driven us that day, so the entire family left.

I read the Bible at home with my children. My husband is still associated with the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, but he is not a regular attender. He and our children are told that they are allowed to go, but my "privilege of attending" has been revoked, since I refuse to recant of keeping integrity to God and Christ.

The Governing Body of Watchtower are not witnesses of Jehovah.

Jehovah is the God of truth. The Governing Body are liars. When they claim to represent truth, they lie just like their father the Devil.

The Watchtower hierarchy is based on appointments from the Governing Body and other Watchtower leaders. It's not based on appointments from God.

Regarding Hebrews 10:24,25...it is possible to meet together with others who love God and not be part of a tax-exempt business corporation masquerading as "the truth."

Jesus said to turn away from those who teach false doctrines and not to commend them. Anyone who goes to the Kingdom Hall or JW convention and claps for the speakers who share false doctrines is a sharer in their wicked works. (2 John 9,10)

Jesus made clear through the holy spirit that all the "little children" anointed by holy spirit would have knowledge. All the 144,000 who are anointed for the specific assignment in the kingdom have knowledge. (1 John 2)

The Governing Body and association Watchtower hierarchy leaders are the ones teaching "beyond what is written." They have been teaching "beyond what is written" since the foundation of the Watchtower.

Notice how Watchtower's teachings regarding "the time of Christ's presence" have changed...they used to say Jesus came in 1874. Even in the late 1920s they were still publishing about 1874 and pyramids. When the GB today talk about being "appointed in 1919" they don't think people will do the research and see all the disgusting spiritistic teachings the organization was teaching about the star Alcyone (esoteric astrology) and how the current unscriptural 1914 date is based on divination, something Jehovah hates.

I was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness over twenty years ago. I served as a pioneer and was married to an elder. I raised my children to love Jehovah God and they were baptized at ages 9 and 11. We auxiliary pioneered together. I've been interviewed at assemblies.

I was disfellowshipped when I told on abuse in the organization. Because I continued to warn my fellow Christians about some dangerous elders, because I kept warning the flock so that the sheep wouldn't get hurt, the Bethel headquarters people ordered my disfellowshipping. I live several hours away from Warwick, NY. We have people in our local congregation who go to work at Bethel frequently. One of the sons of an elder here has served as Mark Sanderson's secretary.

You speak without knowledge. I know what goes on in the organization. I was falsely charged with "reviling and causing divisions" when I acted in harmony with holy spirit, the fruitage of which is love.

Since I have seen the teeth of the wolves in sheeps covering up close and personal, my eyes have been opened to even more of the base practices going on behind the scenes in the Watchtower organization. I will not stop exposing Watchtower, since Jesus said "what you hear whispered, preach from the housetops."

The Watchtower hierarchy leaders have two sets of doctrines. Charles Taze Russell was a freemason/satanist. He was a child abuser. When his wife told on him, he had her "disfellowshipped."
