As time pass by us in her feline gait
Yielding each ticking seconds into years
By living our very death so await,
So with time a story we all do write
Behold! As the orient sun to west veers
So is the youthful hair of then hued white.

Living along time, our candles are spent
Where dying to live drive nigher to grave
Time itself thitherward the end do went
By the tide, each sole have its soul to save.

Dying we owe to death, even for all
And sooner to a home we bide thereout
Alone as a cloud in that gaping mouth
So lives on history, though our hearts be stall.

Few minutes ago, Lawrence had marched into the store with two straight shouldered men, they walked behind him with stony faces. He has come over to talk business with his faithed men.

"Sales is dropping off real big all for that freaking store." Jake said surly.

"How do we manage this?" Laurie inquired in a whisper.

Jake added gruffly "It's pissing me off." He slammed his fist on the table.

"What do you guys suppose we do?"

"I guess I have a way." Gabe answered.

"What way Gabe?" Lawrence voice was a sharp pitch.

"Magic, magic Laurie." Gabe replied smugly.

"You never seem to be out of tricks Gabe." Jake remarked.

"Then am assuming you guys will solve our business problem." Lawrence bounded to his feet."I'll have my leave." He walked to the door and eased it open.

*******

Close to midnight, two lonely figures alighted from a car, its color merged with darkness of the night. The street was still, only a hushed sound came from the men. They walked to the hood of the car, easing it open.

"Easy Gabe." Said a deep voice from one of the figures. They heaved a body bag from the trunk, edging towards the entrance of a store.

"You got the passkey Jake?"

"Yeah, let's put him down." The body bag was placed on the pave that adjoined to the store. Jake walked to the glass doubled down and slid in the passkey. The door eased open. "Let's get him in Gabe."

They placed the body bag on the slithery tiles, and stood upright, trying to get their wind. Darkness filled the hall, a beam from a flashlight held by Gabe lighted a corner in the ample store. Wares were ranged horizontally in sections, with shopping baskets and trolleys piled at a corner.

"This should do the magic Jake."

"We better get going magician." They scampered out of the store.

Stars twinkled at the night sky as the Audi whirred alive, dashing out of view.

********

Sirens wailed through downtown street, police had bursted into the street after been tipped off about the last night incident. It was a cloudy day, the morning sky was bluish black with rumbling rolling of thunder sounding above. Jake and Gabe stood behind the Audi, watching the scene at the store few yards away

"With the premises sealed, our sales will bloom Gabe."

"The magic portion is at work."

"They can stay in court, while we make our sales." A smirk played on Jake's lips.

"The case should be drag for six months at least."

Jake shrugged."Good for them."

"Now we can make money, and stack funds."

"You're a genius Gabe." Jake patted the crown of his head."Good bad magician." He chuckled.

Rain pattered gently on the street, a red hatchback was parked opposite the store. At the front seat seated two anomaly men, the first has a sharp-angled face, grime hands and fingers with gapped teeth. Behind the wheel was his sharp-nosed company. They sat eagerly awaiting their targets. The store's door eased open, Jake and Gabe emerged from the store. Coolness of the evening rain enwrapped them.

"Here they come." Muttered the gap-toothed man.

"Waste no time idiot." Barked the man behind the wheel.

"Mind your word blockhead." Growled the soiled hand man. Suddenly he drew out a Taurus, training it at his targets as they edged towards the Audi. The trigger went off thrice, clattering into his targets. Sharp-nose pulled into the highway, zooming out of eyeshot.

Two shots lodged into Jake's chest, the other grazed Gabe's arm. At the sound of the gunshots, workers trooped out of the store, massing before the duo.

"Bleep! Jake are you with me?' Gabe tugged at his stabile body.

"We need to get him to the hospital." Offered a dark skinned man.

"Get the car door." Gabe tossed the car key to him, bent down and hoisted Jake to his shoulder, not minding his injured arm.

PERFECT ADDICTION (EPILOGUE)

FIVE (5) YEARS LATER

"You look beautiful!" I said as I pulled Michelle closer by the ass. The purple fitted dress really detailed her curvy shape, the pompous ass you could see from the front.
"I missed you"

"Really?" She whispered as she bite my ear sending electromagnetic pulses to the young star between my legs. "I see young Blessed is already awake and getting all violent"

She giggled as she rubbed her knees on my groin. Our lips connected, her lips were beautiful, I savaged her tongue. Then slowly she went down on me, unzipping my fly and letting out my shaft.

I just got back from the States few weeks back for Ijeoma's wedding. She graduated the year I left, now works for the Ministry of Health. She plans on furthering after her marriage.

Debby is a 300level Law student, Michelle graduated 2years after I left. I really missed home. I've really missed her, though we always Skype, and chat on Imo but 5years without that ass was hell! Don't envy Me.
Now she's here giving Me a mad ass boner while my big sis' wedding is on the next floor.

The door just flung open! And there is Debby and Isaac staring with their eyes almost out of its socket.

"Damn! Jesus! Big Bro please sheath your staff" Debby is saying as she covers her eyes

"Spartacus! I'm scared for life. Michelle, I don't envy you one bit, how do you cope?" Isaac said inbetween his laugh

"Michelle, we're marching in 5minutes. Please stop milking my Brother and come down" Debby said as she left.

"Awon Haters!" Michelle yelled out of frustration as they left.

The wedding was epic! When I got back I heard news that Tony fucking Kreed was killed in a shoot out with a rival group a year after I left.

Few month later, Michelle got pregnant; So am officially gonna be a Daddy!!
sorry op, i don' t mean to criticize this piece. But epilogue is meant to end a literary work. And also your five years later. I believe it was a mistake, so please kindly change it. Love this!

CHAPTER ELEVEN:MY BUSINESS, OUR ENTERPRISE

With the vendetta coming to an end, sissolos emerged victorious. Brando has lost so much during the war, the blood feud had cost him two of his sons with seven of his loyal friends in the shatto family. He capitulated to Mazembe, which means the sissolos will now rule the city. Their business enterprises would bloom, enabling them to stack away funds. Mazembe had gotten his hands on constructions, casino- hotels, fashion lines and owned a shares in a football team.

On the other hand, Laurie politics has paid him a good turn. Playing Mazembe ally has brought him immense wealth. He owned several chain stores in the city, and get his hands on exotic panache rides.

Gabe secured an apartment uptown of xin cuty, Michelle had wanted him to stay, but his refusal had hurt so much. They still shared a smooth relationship, though they barely see each other now. Her love has rooted deep in his heart, but the only way to assure Michelle safety was loving her from afar. Many things had happened, so much that Gabe could seldom forget.

*******

They sat in a cubicle, with walls ply boarded. Blue glow from the floor lamp litted the room, their armchairs were circled. Jake sat calmly, his arms resting on the arm support. Smoke from Lawrence tobacco wallowed up in the room.

"No one is to be trusted these days, no one in the sphere of life." Laurie remarked.

"It's better to live with no friend, no foe." Jake added.

"There're few to trust I guess." Gabe opined.

"I have found those few guys." Laurie took a short drag on his tobacco, expelling the smoke through his nose.

"Who're those few Laurie?" Jake asked puzzlingly.

"You two, I think I could trust you both with my life, although trust is a fairytale in this game."

"So what're you entrusting us with this time?" Gabe inquired in a low pitch.

"Business, my business, our enterprise." Laurie replied curtly.

One of Laurie's chain store downtown in the city was run by Jake and Gabe. The store offers a variety of wares, making sales. They both see to the balancing of account, ordering of new wares and ways of boosting sales. A small office was maintained by them.

"Going somewhere Gabe?"

"I need to see to something now." Gabe answered.

"Just be good and watch your back." Jake said in a hushed voice. He lighted a cigar, taking a pull on it.

"I'll be good Jake." He walked out through the glassy door.

*********

Mikem sat alone in Gabe's apartment, the porcelain tiles reflected her face. Plant pots were placed on the glassy center table. Air around the room was scenic with fresh air sauntering freely. A Squeak from the door startled her. At the sight of Gabe, she rose to her feet.

"Hi Gabe, am sorry for the timing." She wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Hey, what time is better than now?" He inquired with a grin.

"You're looking good Gabe." She pinched his cheek, pressing her lips on his. Gabe pulled back a little, fixating his look on her oblong face.

"You're not bad either Mikem." Gabe hoisted her to his waist, biting mildly on her lips. He cradled her in his arms with his eyes burning with passion."Now I'll have you Mikem."

"Common Gabe, have me all to yourself.' She replied with a giggle.

Gabe shuffled into the bedroom.

*********

It was nearing noon, they sat by the lawn relishing the coolness of the gentle breeze. There were three lounger set under a big sunshade. Four men suited in black stood meters away scanning around vigilantly.

Laurie calmly said "People are taking Mazembe silence for weakness guys, unknowing silence is the best killer."

"I think him a softie myself." Jake added bluntly.

"Then you're wrong Jake." Laurie sniffled."He isn't weak, and that's why he want you guys to take care of someone in the family. He think him a double-crossed."

"And who's the double-crossed?" Gabe inquired.

"Samonella, Mazembe wants him out."

"Then he's sure so dead Laurie." Jake replied raspy. He rose to his feet "Shall we Gabe?"

The beam of the rising sun peeped into the sizeable rectangular room. An alarmed looking man sat bolt upright on the bed, before him were two unknown fearsome men. Sweat spurted off his temple as he stared at the Colt inches away from his face.

"Put him to sleep Gabe." Jake said.

"Alright, time to sleep old man." Gabe sedated him and packed him into a body bag."The sucker has got weight." He hoisted him to his shoulder.

They scurried out of the room.

The heat of the sun at the nape of his neck shook him awake, he adjusted his eyes to the intensity of his new location. His veins froze as it dawned on him that he was lying on the asphalt. Easing himself up a bit, a white minivan came into view from his left, coming across at a breakneck speed. Before gathering his reflexes, the minivan smashed into him. A bursting sound emerged lowly.

Jake said wryly "That was a good way to die."

"Not bad for a scum I guess." Gave revved the van and sped out of eyeshot

7th street was spectacularly lively, slatterns streetwalking on the moonlit sidewalks. It was a starless dusky night, a car zoomed along the thoroughfare with headlights beaming bright. Two men sat in quiesce, both of them anticipative. Their targets are few yards away, they're meant to be located at a common wall in seventh street.

The headlights beamed on their targets, they were huddled before a famed joint. Thick smoke billowed above the spot, so also indistinct chatters.

"You ready Gabe?"

"Am pretty damn ready. Step on the gas." He eased himself through the car roof with the car accelerating, while he fired at the targets. Bullets crashed into targets bodies as their view was obscured by the beaming headlights. In a wink, bodies were heaped at the spot, blood gushing on the sidewalk.

Jake raced the car down the street, darkness enshrouding the black Audi.

*********

An orange cab whizzed past the highway of Leonx, one of Xin city borough. At the backseat seated Gabe, licking his lips in anticipation of what to happen in minutes to come. Mikem will be waiting at the rendezvous. The slip she gave him served as the key to their rendezvous point. He smiled softly thinking about Mikem's beauty.

The door to room 18 of Hotel Royale slid open, an almond face man in a striped t-shirt walked in, a skintight jeans was worn over his straight long legs. At the center of the room stood a fair skinned lady. A red bathrobe was wrapped around her body.

"I was thinking you have a change of mind."

"I don't turn angels down, especially one like you.' Gabe replied bluntly. He walked towards her gazing intently at her dark eyes.

"You've got me waiting for so long." She loosen the bathrobe, standing stark naked before him. Her taut round breasts hung firm, so her protruding teat. Mikem pulled him close, taking his mouth into hers. She sucked at his lips, feeling hot as he caresses her breasts. They skittered to the bed. Mikem stripped his clothes hastily as the peppy pleasure race began.

***********

It was a chilly night, the moonlit street was sparse. A man in an overcoat crossed the street, he paced up to a grey Toyota car and slid its door open. The car started with a whirr, setting off the car bomb. An explosion erupted on the spot, sending off shards into the air.

At the other side of the city, in a dense thick woodland. Darkness shrouded the clearing, five figures loomed in the dark night, they were massed before a dugout. Two men held them at gunpoint, their rageful faces was hidden in the gloomth.

"May the lord accept your souls." Said a deep pitch voice. Then five gunshots reverbed through the forest. With the once standing figures spilling into the dugout.

Mazembe had traveled from his manse down here in the thick woods. It was an early hour of dawn, birds perched on the thickset trunked trees sang wondrously. The war has been on for weeks, both sides taking out their members. Laurie has proved himself over the weeks, Jake and Gabe has killed several linchpins of the shattos family. Victory was inches away from the sissolos, Brando will have no choice but succumb to Mazembe.

They had brought him to see their little surprise package, Mazembe stood stunned, gaping at the Surprisal package. Several graves were at the clearing, houseflies were buzzing around rood-trees on which bodies were crucified. Vultures has fed on the cadavers, leaving them in an oddly shapes.

"I'll have a count ." Mazembe said with a pleasing smile.

"C'mon go on father." Laurie replied. Jake and Gabe stood shoulder to shoulder, their arms folded behind their backs.

"Now I'll start;1, 2.. 3, 4... 5.. 6...7, 8 and a 9. Good one from you boys. You've done really well." Mazembe chuckled heartily, staring at the blue air.

"Welcome my friends, join me and dine." Mazembe offered, sounding shrilly.

"How're you father?" Lawrence inquired politely. He walked to the short plump man, kissing his ring finger. Mazembe sat at the far side, he looked a man in his early seventies with thick grey dreadlocks falling on his straight shoulders. His dark eyes seemed to wear with years, so his wrinkling face.

The dining room was roomy, yellow glows from the chandelier gave the room an air of elegancy. Dark polished dining room suite were placed at the center of the room with special dishes ranged atop the long dining table.

Jake and Gabe sat beside each other, savouring the meal slowly. Across the sat a young lady, fairly skinned with darksome eyes of Mazembe. She stole a glance at Gabe sporadically as the moment pass.

Gabe caught her glance, steadying his gaze on her. Her black long curly hair was combed straight back, a pointy nose, thin curved lips, all attestant to her beauty. They enjoyed the meal in quiesce.

A tradition pioneered by Mazembe himself, the silence was brought to an end as a tall muscular man in an overall marched into the room, his booted feet thudding against the ceramic tiles.

"What this time Sab?" Mazembe grunted. He hates to be interrupted while eating. The man murmured something into his ear.

"Privacy? No privacy Sab, they're families. They're all Sissolos."

Sab cleared his throat, blurting out the words."Shattos took a hit on madcat."

"Oh my good lord, madcat is dead? Make arrangements, he must be buried in the family yard."

"Okay Don." Sab marched out of the room. The oaky door squeaked as he shut it.

"Ten gone already." Mazembe said, sighing woefully."It seems I've gone real cool these days."

"I came for that Mazembe, I have come to pledge my loyal." Lawrence said hoarsely.

"You've always been loyal to the family Laurie." Mazembe replied.

"Do you have a plan yet?" Laurie inquired.

"I want the shattos crushed under my feet, Brando will bow before me." Mazembe stood to his feet."I'll leave him with no chance, but to surrender." He sounded surly.

The young lady stood with a feline grace, storming out of the room. Her long yellow lace gown trailed along the brown tiles. The door shut gently behind her.

"My silence will work the magic Laurie" Mazembe said with a smirk.

"We'll need to take out the shattos linchpins Mazembe." Laurie offered."My boys here will play the role."

Mazembe chuckled, walking in slow strides towards the window at the far wall in the room. He opened the window, cool fresh air stroked his face, and he turned towards them.

"Last time I open this window, we were at war with the Robos. We triumphed over them, but I lost many I loved. It's been years now, ten my guess." Oldness crept into his voice.

"Now I see you're ready for war Mazembe." Laurie said laconically.

Mazembe replied briskly."Let the war drum sound."

Dusk was closing in as they make their way out of the heavenly mansion. It has a serene atmosphere, trees, shrubs, plants were about the greenish acres. Mikem sauntered from across them, her strikingly pretty look took Gabe's breath away. She was now clothed in a loose top, a red short skirt fit tightly on her waist revealing her plumpy legs. Gabe glimpsed at her and saw the corner of her mouth slightly curved in a smile.

"Hi Mikem, you're looking real good, just as always." Laurie remarked.

"You too Laurie, you look dazzling." She replied with a grin.

Jake wore a smile, appreciating her in wonderment. This is beauty he thought, she was an epitome of a master wondrous work.

"See you some other time Mikem." Laurie said.

"Thank you Laurie, bye." She replied in a hypnotic tone. Mikem walked past Laurie, sliding a slip in Gabe's hand. He quickly hid it in his pocket warily.

CHAPTER TEN: VENDETTA 1

Michelle stood before Gabe, who sat on the chaise-lounge. A cup was held in her left hand. This evening she looked a bit older than her age, her face was lined with worry. The orange sun ray filtering through the blind reflected on her face. She was dressed in a red gown, her layered hair had been trimmed neatly earlier in the day.

"There has been sporadic killings in the city recently." She said, stirring the coffee. "My guess is there is probably a blood feud between the mobs." Fear was laced to her voice.

"So what're the police plotting?' He asked bluntly.

"Nothing for now Gabe." She sat beside him. Lately they've both been suppressing their feelings. They barely looked each others eyes. Gabe agreed she needed to, besides he doesn't really want to hurt her pride.

He quenched the silence just in time."Since it's the whole of Xin city, the police must act."

"You don't seem to get it Gabe, when it comes to blood feud among the mob. We police have little to do." She sipped at the coffee.

"Oh good, then you have little to worry about Michelle." He replied curtly, scuffing to bed.

The day had been benighted, the source of light coming from the orange glow of the bedside lamp. Sleepy Michelle climbed on the bed, she stared at Gabe almond face. He had drifted off to sleep after their little conversation.

She thought him to be a sound sleeper which made her chortled a bit. Her delicate hand patted his face, brushing lightly on his lips. Touching his lips, a mite of sensation rippled her blood. She pressed her lips on his mildly, flicking off the table lamp.

"I love you Gabe." She said in a hushed tone. Then rolled on her side, shutting her eyes.

Gabe mouth twitched in a soft smile."I love you too." He grumbled.

**********

The murky study wad litted by a crimson glows, sturdy oaky shelves were affixed on the rectangular wall of the room. A brown ceiling fan revolved slowly above. Lawrence sat on a black swivel chair from across Jake and Gabe. His hands were placed upon the dark wooden desk before him.

His husky voice echoed through the study room."Power and politics are two things, ying and yang. To maintain power, you play politics. To maintain politics, you need power."

"What're you driving at Laurie?" Jake asked, wrinkling his forehead.

Lawrence continued."Have just arrived Jake, no more driving." He replied humorously. He eased himself to his feet, exhaling deeply."The current vendetta among the strongest mob in the city: Yellow shatto and Sissolo, I want to get involved."

"B-ut h-ow Laurie?" Gabe spluttered.

"The shattos has little to offer me, and that's where the politics comes in." Lawrence walked behind them, wrapping his arms in their shoulders."With the Sissolos I have a chance, I'll become Mazembe's right hand."

"So what's our stand on the war?" Jake inquired.

"We shall see Mazembe boys." Laurie replied, smiling softly.

*********

Gabe was behind the wheel of the blue convertible, Jake sat silently on the death seat gazing in wonderment at the hot chicks by the roadside.

Thick blackened smoke expelled from the backseat. Lawrence seems to be relishing his tobacco sitting with composure, perched on the leathered seat like a king. Truly he was one, or sooner he will. After playing Mazembe's ally, he will have wealth flooding into his life. Then he can probably have his chance to rule Xin city. With the aid of Jake and Gabe, he sure can move the world he thought.

The blue convertible was halted beside a stoned wall, built about a white stately mansion. A greenish lawn stretched before the building, from inside the car the portico was visible. Mazembe's mansion was indeed a grandeur.

"Let's see the big man now boys." Lawrence said in a soft tone.
