Here, children can't challenge an adult whose opinions are questionable.

Our culture (beliefs and way of life) is anti progressive, not our individual traditions.

Our tradition is not the problem but how we use our mind, we generally ourselves specifically in Nigeria are unproductive , and backward in thinking , we follow outdated formal education, we dont think, we dont research, we are mainly socialistic , we are very hardworking but not productive , educated but not creative( high illiteracy rate also especially in the north), we are bigots hence dont select people to positions based on merits, although I will admit some aspect of our culture is wrong like the practice of female circumscision

Our tradition is our way of life, we have to accept these , embrace it, and remove any part of it that is harmful
We need to think , research, learn from abroad , get the materials , build ourselves in our home

Our culture doesn't encourage 'initiative' and 'creativity'.

That's why our ancestors sacrificed virgins for years, none of them could question the practice.

Personally, I'm anti-racism.

As an African, it's simply repulsive.

I'm quite learned...especially on the topic of racial divide in America and the 'black people' stereotypes since the Transatlantic slave trade era.

It's really offensive, the portrayal of blacks as being overly-sex driven, intellectually redundant, physically unattractive...etc.

With times though, racism has drastically been reduced...atleast, the practice of segregation and all that.


To some extent, I understand why it happened.

The whites who were advanced could easily take advantage of those who weren't...and they did.


But not without the help of BLACKS!

That's what makes the whole thing so messed up.

The fact that without the active contribution of Africans, the slave trade era then and now, wouldn't be as widespread and destructive as it was and still is.

In societies where Caucasians are the majority, there is the general acceptance of human rights...

Turn it around, and the story changes!

Most blacks have that belief that they and their fellow blacks don't truly deserve much.

That's why Africans endure years of hardship and poverty without attempting the least bit to change things.

Like, it's normal...so why bother?!


I was watching a programme on Al Jazeera...about a vigilante group in South Africa.

The intention was great..the method of implementing justice was barbaric!

From flogging grown men on the streets to stripping them naked...

What offended me the most, was that these harsh punishments where carried out by BLACKS on BLACKS...

That these BLACKS wouldn't try it with WHITES, no matter the crime...

That few WHITES would consider these acts to be ideal and wouldn't carry them out on fellow WHITES...
