Yea I also think it is very diverse; from indigenous culture, to the Spanish colinizers, and the slave trade. Lots if mix that has created very created a culture of its own. |
I believe so. Especially in the island countries such as the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. The particular countries have people of many shades from a white European look, to a mulatto, to even pitch black lol. Brazil also has a big population of people that are atleast mix with african descent. |
The common people of those african country usually speak their own language as their first language. The European languages are usually spoken in government/ public settings. BTW a lot of these countries have an african language and a European language as their official languages, just like it has for eritrea. |
Ask any common eritrean and they will say they are habesha. Google the word habesha and tell me what it says. And are you seriously attacking the bible. That is very offensive to me and I'm sure many others on this website. |
The only reason I get in threads that you are on is because you like to group eritreans and Ethiopians in your views. Every time a habesha (Eritreans or ethiopian) has come on this website they stated that they are black. All you do is come on here and attack africans that don't resemble you on their physical traits. I just hope that not everybody on this site doesn't think that every East African or Horner is as ignorant as your dumbass. And for the record us habeshas HATE somalis and I think you know that by now so please don't group us with you pirate, terrorist, famine stricken ass. |
@somolia9 I saw that you made a thread calling me a troll. I clicked on it but it won't open. So what proof are you talking about? Lol |
Ethiopian/eritrean (both eat injera) Jamaican - jerk chicken is so good African American- soul food Dominican/Cuban/puerto rican Nigerian |
@pirate1 don't listen to these ignorant fools making fun of us East Africans. We are beautiful as it comes. But wear and southern african nations also have beautiful queens. |
Yea I think somolia9,6,5 and pirate1 are all the same person. Multiple people can't be this ignorant. |
This somali girl is crazy. You should never be ashamed of your nationality or ethnicity. If you are an ethnic somali, be proud. You must respect yourself for others to do the same towards you. Atleast she considers herself black unlike the other somalis on here. Acknowledging your race is important. And how ironic is it that somalis are the ones always denying that their black but are darker than us eritreans and the Ethiopians. |
Ethiopians, Eritreans, and somalis are considered black around the world. Also what is your point in making fun of people's physical features just because they slight differ from yours? |
The one question I hate is when Americans ask "so do you see lions on the street walking around?" I just feel sorry for them and laugh it off. |
The person with the plate is probably ethiopian, not somali. |
Was that question sarcasm or not? If it was a real question then yes it is a country. |
*poo- shit...sorry for the typos |
Can you stop talking shit about others. Calling me a slave of Ethiopians and others ugly because of physical appearance does what to your self esteem? Everybody sees Somalia as another black African country. Stop making things personal because theirs a lot of shit that Somalia can not brag about. So please stop about the personal attacks. |
First of all don't ever don't ever tell me I'm not eritrean. Why would I lie about where my ancestors come from? And Eritreans do not hate blacks. I know of some Eritreans and Ethiopians that are born in Africa and migrate to America and have a problem with african Americans because of values and culture. But we do not hate blacks. We can't do that because that is called self hate which know one should be doing. |
@somalia9- look man I said it, and now another person came on here and said he has met many Eritreans and Ethiopians and they all considered themselves as black. So can you stop grouping us with your views. I respect that you view your self as a Somali and as that being its own ethnicity, but I think the Somali ethnicity is under the black race. The word race is more of a broader term. |
I call myself habesha because Eritreans and Ethiopians share heritage. We have similarities and differences. |
I am new to this board. I am an eritrean male but born and raised I the states. I just want to come out and let you guys know that not all East Africans feel this way. Most habeshas ( Eritreans and Ethiopians) recognize their black heritage although we also recognize we might have some mixture down the line. I don't get why Somalis deny themselves being black. |
