Kewtt: The money is not going to be given to anyone. It's directly applied towards your tuition. All citizens are entitled. The so-called poor contribute little to the economy. Little to the economy because they are poor and that is why we need to get more of their kids to school to boost the economy in the nearest future |

Iseoluwani: But m paying my tax, so why will I pay tax and be excluded from the benefits of paying it You are not excluded, you choose to send your child to private institution when we have a federal one. This loan is for federal institution by government and not for private. We have high numbers of persons out there that couldn't further their education because they could not afford it. If the rich are included, how will the amount set for the loan be enough to get the poor back to school |

ToteJesus: If you want to advance, maybe the answer is in modelling what developed nations are doing and has been proven to work. What works in advance nation may not work in developing country. Let's use Nigeria as an example: corruption and the numbers of illiterate will not let what work in advance countries to work here. We are not there yet. And if u don't get it, forget it |

femicyrus: What is to the salary of a major general/GCFR that will make him to float a private university if not by corruption? A man who should strengthen public Institutions as president in favour of the poor masses went on to establish a private university for the rich while neglecting the poor. The same Man want the rich to colonize fund meant for the poor as loan. Very selfish and wicked. He wants more students in his university via government loan not minding the survival of public Institutions. They will even hijack it and you will start seeing politicians and their families alone getting the loan which they will not even pay back and we will be back where we were. Some Nigerians have just refused to get sense |
Politics › Re: Student Loan Scheme: Include Private Universities’ Students – Obasanjo by ericmor: 8:01am On Apr 23, 2024 |
Iseoluwani: I disagree with you, a parent may I have other motive, if I send my child to Private uni, my reason might be because I don't want him to face strike, which waste people time. So I will pay through thick and thin to achieve that. If you have the money to send your child to private uni then there is no reason for you to take federal government loan. You can approach bank for that and let the poor breath |

MrCaesar: That's nonsense. After entering school at eighteen, going through strike and unnecessary omissions and carryover in school, and then wait for 1 to two years before going for NYSC. Then spend like one year at NYSC. By the time you will be looking for job, you will be around 30. When they will be advertising for jobs, they will tell you they need people below 24 years. Exactly |
