Honestly yes, and it was from a reliable source.,. The story goes thus

A friend I work with said he has some landed property in their care and is out for sale, the land measure 120 feet by 60 feet, as per normal measure base on believe, as per my field as well, normal... We went for site visiting and we are pleased, we needed two plot of land beside each other which we got one on the go, normal.... We were ask to meet the baale of the town for further documentation which he confirmed to be real... The only mistake we made was, we never chart the land from alausa nor involved our lawyer as per say na baale of the land direct we meet and he has his building close to the said land space and even said people are coming for the land too much that we should hurry up and deposit or pay up for the land in time...
As soon as we paid for the two plot and brought in surveyor, that is where the reality of life hit us say na government acquisition we buy after full payment was made....normal right
Na so baale say no worry start something on it that he is much available on site that no one dares touch our building or mess up there, we sha start perimeter fence work up to eleven coaches and install gate at the entrance, we built a security house, furnished the room and lock it, we did all this and three months later, government came and demolished everything, we sha lost millions of naira sha.....

Don't listen to people are coming to check the land, so deposit or pay up...

Try involve lawyer on it...

Try and do survey plan and chart the location before making any payments....

End note, that was how we lost the money and property, we are still going to court since 2021 till this date 2026. May God lead us to the right path.

The tracking rubbish is another way they defraud people.They don't track anything,but end up enriching their pockets with the first deposit you make and the mobilization.
Imagine spending 50k to recover a 200k scam.
This is asides the transport cost you incurred and the fact that even if it succeeds,it will take a lot of time during which that same officer would tell you that to help in fast tracking the reversal by the bank,you need to mobilize him again to meet certain people.
If you spend anything less than 100k to recover that 200k,if at all it eventually succeeds,then count yourself extremely lucky.

When you want to compare prices of different countries, there are a lot of factors to consider. How do you expect the prices of bananas to be in cheaper in Canada than Nigeria?
