Forget muscle, bro. You don't need a fancy car. Clean ride (neat exterior and interior) , good engine. Good Ac. Don't splurge much cash on frivolities. You are good to go. civic or matrix

Noted bro... Thanks a lot

Bro you indeed Lucky to get such an offer. Go for Muscle. The amount of good offline trips you will get and interstate trips will leave you flattered. This is going to be your personal car at practically no interest rate so why go for a 03-06 car. Na because country bend that's why 03-06 cars full road.
Follow your heart.

I appreciate you brother. Thanks for your advice.

Muscle is a no no no! Parts are expensive and it's not as durable as the 03-06 Camry. If you'll go for a Toyota go for that one. I mean big daddy.

If for a Honda, go for the civic 07-09
Only ground clearance is the problem of this one.

U
I would have advised a Corolla 03-06 but because of theft and peace of mind. It's also very expensive.

Thanks bro. From your advice, I've automatically removed muscle from the list. I'm thinking of civic 09 but just as you said, clearance is the problem.

My former civic, i had it raised from the ground a little, but i was still feeling the low clearance. I Don't like Big daddy physical design. Not fine wink

OK. That's good. It's better to have a practical feel of the business first. Toyota or Honda. (03-07 models)
The cleaner the ride, the easier it is for youto get quality offline riders (which will make your work more profitable) not run of the mill type of riders that have flooded most of the apps now.

If you start. Don't overwork yourself and the car. Since you have another line of biz. 4 days. 2 days income for repayment of the car. 2 days for you....
Figure out how to maximize those 4days.
Long hours does not translate to big earnings.

Thanks a lot for your brotherly advice. My neighbor said i should go for Toyota camry 07 muscle or Honda civic 09. Please which would you advice me for. Both maintenance, fuel efficiency and otherwise?

Have you done any kind of business before or what are you currently into.?

Yes bro, I've done this business before. I bought a Nigerian used Honda civic last year from a Nlander, but unfortunately what i bought was a scrap sold as barely used (I was an auto novice). The car consumed me both financially and emotionally. I was totally drained and lin. I was now running into debts from different loan companies. If i use the car to work and make maybe 5k, the next day i will be in mechanic shop spending times two to times three of the profit i made. Later sold the car off after I've changed almost everything in the car.

It was a terrible experience. Ever since then, i vowed never in my life to buy a Nigerian used car. Especially when i don't know the history of the car.

So a family friend who saw what i went through decided to buy me any car of my choice to do the biz again

Meanwhile I'm into
CCTV installation
Fire alarm
Electric fence....but no contract for now

Yes. iPhone security is harder to hack.

But when my Samsung was stolen, the thief flashed it but he was unable to log out of my Samsung account until I locked it eventually with a message that the phone was stolen that whoever finds it should call my number. After 2 days, I got a call that I should look behind my generator that my phone was there.

The phone was stolen when my younger ones placed it on the gen, tho.

When I got the phone, all my pictures were wiped out and the thief’s photos were in the phone, which he was unable to clear the moment I locked the phone from my Samsung account.

So I’m really surprised someone was able to flash out your login details on a xioami account.

I guess it's different with xiaomi product. Or maybe they've improved in their security services. Mine happened 2020 though

This is very strange. They shouldn’t be able to flash out the login details on your phone manufacturer’s website.

Did you reveal sensitive info that aided them in doing a password reset on the phone?

Seriously i never did. I was even surprised to see that. I was told that Xiaomi security system is not as strong as Iphone.

I still have the phone carton with me up till date

My stolen redmi note 9s has been located in cotonou thanks to my xiaomi account which tracked the phone...I also was able to lock the phone so the phone is basically useless..

However, I don't know if it's possible to get my phone cry because na this phone I dey take learn online skills before it was stolen cry...

FYI, the phone was stolen at Tafawa balewa Square, Lagos, Nigeria.

They will flash it out. Same thing happened to me when i misplaced my Redmi 8 inside danfo bus in Lagos. I locked it with a written note, including my number.

About a week thereabout, a strange number called and was telling me how he bought my phone in Lafenwa in Abeokuta. But that the phone is locked. I explained everything to him and promised to compensate him if only i can get my phone.

The mumu said no. That he want to return it and get his money back. I asked for the seller contact, he refused. The next day, i received a message that the account has been reset and I can't have access to it any longer. That was how it ended.

Person post with high price, you will talk...reminding the person that this is clearance thread.

Person ko post with low price, same you will say the person want to use the cheap prices to prey on others.

Person ko post ad with new account, you will talk...telling people that the poster is a potential scammer.

And when someone uses his old account of 7yrs+ to post his/her ad, same you will come here to say people are now using their old account to scam.

What do you really want Mr man cos it seems you don't know what you want

Majority of them have old posts that they use to back themselves up. The people that called him out have their grievances that are well in place. So I wouldn’t understand why body is itching you over it. You don’t even have any business in it. You are just a customer. Which one is “I apologised and he apologised”? Did they ask for your apology?

Please rest.

You should be the one to rest for putting mouth for what doesn't concern you. I don't know what's your problem. Why will you quote me? Do i have any business with you? Why not mind your business. I feel I'm also directly or indirectly the cause of this and that's reason why i tender my apology just like the seller did and only for you to come here and call me a ONE TIME NIGERIAN CUSTOMER.

Please face front. Don't quote me again cos i don't have any business with you. Respect your old age.

You are sticking out your head too much.

Very suspicious and unusual for a supposedly one-time-NIGERIAN-customer.

Are you him and is he you? undecided

So because I'm a one-time-NIGERIAN-customer as you claim, i shouldn't talk? Do you know how painful it is to be tagged a scammer especially by someone you've not transact with? And Instead of you asking if I'm he or he's me, why not you go through my post to see if actually I'm he of he's me.

At least I'm a old member with some posts attached to my moniker. Why not read them and investigate it yourself. I shouldn't talk because you people bought data for me or what? I shouldn't express myself undecided

Telling them not to escalate the issue is now a crime. Someone will Come online only to see one ghost/silent member quoting the same issue we've earlier apologized and the fellow will start looking for what is not missing and here you are saying I'm a one time Nigerian customer

And I hope if someone out of the blue call you a scammer, you won't react or those who have known/transact business with you will not defend you. Cos from your post, it's a crime to do so.

He might PROBABLY wants to deal with people that will send money and hope for delivery.. He doesn't deal with people that wants to be present PHYSICALLY.. If you don gerrit, forget about it.

You guys should cut him some slack. All these unnecessary accusations are now becoming annoying. The seller has apologized on several occasions and i also apologize for being the cause of all these, yet you guys are still digging up the case. How can you accuse someone of trying to scam people when the said person has not scammed you or someone close to you?

Someone was even saying the Seller tagged the price low so he can prey on people undecided what they forgot is that just like the seller, not everyone is greedy during relocation sales.

I met the guy in his house and did the transaction and all the items where in good condition. Due to how cheap the items was, i had to buy other items from him. I will post their pictures tomorrow in my house. Not every seller that is after money.

Cut that guy some slack.
He has apologized,
I've also apologized.
So what else do you guys want? People make mistakes on daily basis. He made a mistake and he has acknowledge his mistakes and apologize too. Make una die this matter. He no make sense again undecided.

Baba rest, you deserve to be called out. It doesn't make sense to ask people to meet you up somewhere and then ghost them. It is not just your business since you posted it here. Na small thing dey make people run people street.

Instead of you to apologize properly, you are here capping nonsense. How will you do that rubbish to two different people?

But this is very very unfair of you. How do people apologize properly that the seller has not done earler? The guy has already apologized earlier about two times and you are still asking him to apologize properly.

That guy in question is really a nice person if you meet him one and one. I really enjoyed my meeting with him.

Once again, i apologize for the inconveniences I've caused. It's all my fault. I'm the one who pleaded with him to keep those items for me till the next day after failing to turn up the first day. It's my fault.

I had to check what he posted for sale after reading ur report...... I concluded that he had nothing to sell, na cruise baba just dey catch. Those products he posted for sale are too undervalued at their prices, unless he's relocating out of the country and needed to dispose them ASAP.....which he didn't specify.

His excuse that someone sent full payment na wash, he claims he might still refund the money paid for logistics problems grin all na wash. A genuine seller would've notified other prospective buyers that his goods are no longer available instead of avoiding them unnecessarily. Maybe baba wanted any of u to send some money to him first sha, Like deposit or so.

He just posted some random pics and fixed an affordable price, expecting to lure a prey. But any buyer of his goods can prove Me wrong by posting the goods bought.

Make una sha dey shine una eyes.

Please this is not true
The seller is very genuine and ALL the things he posted to sell are actually genuine. I'm the one who bought those stuff's from him and failing to show up a day before i picked them up.

I was actually on my way to his house but traffic was mad so i had to turn back. I called him to explain the situation on ground and i pleaded with him to give me another chance (being the next day) which he agreed and the next day i went to his place with a car to pick those stuffs up.

He's really a nice and understanding fellow. Everything he posted here were in good condition.

I deeply apologize for the inconveniences I've caused, please forgive.

Career / Re: (NYSC) Should I Redeploy Back To Anambra Or Remain In Ogun State. by Ernesttoby30: 6:28pm On Aug 04, 2022
Goodboy2000:
Please Nairalanders, I need your candid advise.

I am 27.

I left home for orientation camp from Anambra to Ogun state, and we have just 3 days left to leave camp to our place of primary assignment but my problem is that I don't want to go back to my papa house but remain here before and after service to start my life.

I am a core Igbo guy and I believe in hard work as well as leaving my comfort zone to enable me grow.

I don't know the economic state of Ogun and my chances of leveraging on the environment as an Igbo guy, I am in a state of dilemma right now.

Should I redeploy back to Anambra or is there any other state one could recommend I redeploy to or should I remain here?

Bro find way migrate to Lagos. Although it depend on the part of Ogun state that you are. Someone from Ph, i find Ogun state (Abeokuta) too local and boring couple with tribalistic landlords/landladies. You see people walking bare footed and baggers everywhere.

Getting apartment there especially from those old men/women is very difficult except from well enlighten and educated ones. You keep on hearing Omo Igbo wherever you go.

My experience from the first work i got there as a Secretary in one newly established real estate company was something else. My boss was a very young guy and caring, not until his friends started questioning him why he exployed an igbo person to be incharge of his money. I was so so shocked when he told me this. He was even bold enough (though not in an angry manner) to tell me that people from south east/south south are not considered To be trustworthy by the yorubas.

That was when he started acting funny. Once a client drop money in my possession, he will call immediately to go give the money to his friend or he will come to the office immediately to pick up the money. Unlike him. I later quit the job cos i didn't find his attitudes nice anymore.

Note: My boss was very very good to me. A young and whatsup guy. He sometimes tipped me etc and we are still in good terms up till date.

Tribalism is really killing us as a nation. Funny enough i never knew such thing exist not until i finish my Service in Jigawa and decided to leave my comfort zone (ph) to Abk with my Western nysc colleague/friend in search of greener pastures.

I really hope that i will someday be able to talk about this tribalism that is destroying us. I was told same thing is applicable to the core igbo states. I don't know if it's true or not cause i haven't stayed there. But in my place, this tribalism is minimal cos i was born and grew up in Yoruba zone in Ph.

I won't be wrong to say most Yorubas do not like the igbos that much and Most igbos too do not like yorubas that much. Getting married to each other na war too due to what family will say...

Same southerners,
Same Nigerians o cry

On the 27th June and 5th July, i converted the small money i had with me to USDT, you won't believe that from that day till now, I've gotten interest of 31k alone just for saving in dollar.

I've come to realize that saving in Dollar alone is an investment plan. The naira is fast losing it worth

Please i’d like to confirm if it’s safe to travel to port harcourt from Lagos by road

I’ve never travelled to port harcourt before , so I want to get some infos those who have travelled recently and due to the insecurities in the country.

Mods pls

Yes it's good. Just came back from there last week. If traveling with your car, make sure you have a lot of pieces notes with you. Because i personally counted the number of police check point from Lagos to Ph and it was 57 check point in total followed through Onitsha/Owerri-Ph.

Someone with a private car, you will be dropping some money to avoid delay.
