₦airaland Forum

Good day to the Tech Gurus.

I'm a salary earner who resides in Lagos. After realising that I'm living from hand to mouth cos my salary is not much, i thought of investing in my self by learning any Tech skill(s). I've chosen to go for cybersecurity and I've started making research of any training centre on mainland.

I came across one in Ikeja, but i want to know if the training fee is okay or it's expensive as the are calling 300k. Mind you, I've not gotten laptop yet and that will take about 200k from me.

I don't have much with me so I'm trying to see if anyone know how i can get the skill cheaper than this. Thanks

Microverse (the best).

You will also be required to sacrifice alot of time, relationship,

Set yourself apart, become a recluse.

At the end the benefits that you eventually derive will be worth it.

Please bro what kind of laptop (specs) can i buy to learn the cyber security and data analysis? Thanks so much

i'm sorry, i dont think anything can be done about screen lines short of replacing the panel - which is usually almost the cost of the tv.

Thanks for the response bro.

theenchanter:
check the cables. Unplug all the cables, be it HDMI, RCA ( that yellow, red and white ) cables. Just disconnect everything and reconnect them firmly.

That should do it if the tv isn't faulty.

Thanks bro. I will do as you

GloriousGbola:
did you buy it from fouani?

if you did take it to their workshop in apapa.

what has probably happened is a power outage messed up the tv firmware.

this maxi tv is i am sorry to say, another of those chinko made for africa products. i have googled it and i can only find sales info for nigerian outlets . i cannot fin any website with actual support information.

edit - i found this

fouani is your best bet - assuming you bought it from them.

Please any idea if this could also be applicable to my Samsung smart TV? Sometimes a tiny line will appear on the top of the screen then sometimes too the line will disappear for like a week before reappearing. Any suggestions on this? Bought the TV tokumbo though.

All i can say now is "God Abeg o"

I don tire to suffer for the mistakes of others

so, I finally ran a project on this beauty and beast.

I edited a 1:50mins (6.8gb) video for a company and all I can say is damn!!!!

Adobe premiere pro is a demanding software that needs powerful computer in order to run efficiently and I installed 2022 version on it I thought the beauty and beast would lag, but iro ni.

I'm just smiling right now because projects that take about 2hrs to be exported now takes roughly 40min.

Thank u o, Mr Adeniyi.

Bro can you train me on video editing? I have a very high passion for it...

I will pay for the training

I'm owning fair money like #360k, I refused to pay, reason is because, there was a time my payment remain #600 which I don't know when I lost my phone, I couldn't access the app until I bought another phone, I noticed my last payment was charged additional #600 fee reason I can't tell. Fair money started charging #1000 daily late fee on #600 for 10days. After 10days, they removed #10,600 from my account. I reapplied and I collected #200k. That's the payback time. Now they've charged late fee up to #350k. It's over a year now. I will never pay back. Useless people.

Which account did they remove it from? Is it from your other bank account or their fairmoney account? Do they have access to your other bank account?

Life no just balance. Fairmoney have been asking me to take a loan of 400k to repay 760 in 9months. Imagine 360k interest in 9months?

All the same, I'm not a fan of borrowing especially loan app. I've been using them for banking transactions just decided to check how much loan I'm qualify to take from them and lo and behold 400k

Thanks boss. I think i should go for this 09 model

northbird:
Forget muscle, bro. You don't need a fancy car. Clean ride (neat exterior and interior) , good engine. Good Ac. Don't splurge much cash on frivolities. You are good to go. civic or matrix

Noted bro... Thanks a lot

Mirrah:
Bro you indeed Lucky to get such an offer. Go for Muscle. The amount of good offline trips you will get and interstate trips will leave you flattered. This is going to be your personal car at practically no interest rate so why go for a 03-06 car. Na because country bend that's why 03-06 cars full road.
Follow your heart.

I appreciate you brother. Thanks for your advice.

SamuelTaiw0:
Muscle is a no no no! Parts are expensive and it's not as durable as the 03-06 Camry. If you'll go for a Toyota go for that one. I mean big daddy.

If for a Honda, go for the civic 07-09
Only ground clearance is the problem of this one.

U
I would have advised a Corolla 03-06 but because of theft and peace of mind. It's also very expensive.

Thanks bro. From your advice, I've automatically removed muscle from the list. I'm thinking of civic 09 but just as you said, clearance is the problem.

My former civic, i had it raised from the ground a little, but i was still feeling the low clearance. I Don't like Big daddy physical design. Not fine

northbird:
OK. That's good. It's better to have a practical feel of the business first. Toyota or Honda. (03-07 models)
The cleaner the ride, the easier it is for youto get quality offline riders (which will make your work more profitable) not run of the mill type of riders that have flooded most of the apps now.

If you start. Don't overwork yourself and the car. Since you have another line of biz. 4 days. 2 days income for repayment of the car. 2 days for you....
Figure out how to maximize those 4days.
Long hours does not translate to big earnings.

Thanks a lot for your brotherly advice. My neighbor said i should go for Toyota camry 07 muscle or Honda civic 09. Please which would you advice me for. Both maintenance, fuel efficiency and otherwise?

northbird:
Have you done any kind of business before or what are you currently into.?

Yes bro, I've done this business before. I bought a Nigerian used Honda civic last year from a Nlander, but unfortunately what i bought was a scrap sold as barely used (I was an auto novice). The car consumed me both financially and emotionally. I was totally drained and lin. I was now running into debts from different loan companies. If i use the car to work and make maybe 5k, the next day i will be in mechanic shop spending times two to times three of the profit i made. Later sold the car off after I've changed almost everything in the car.

It was a terrible experience. Ever since then, i vowed never in my life to buy a Nigerian used car. Especially when i don't know the history of the car.

So a family friend who saw what i went through decided to buy me any car of my choice to do the biz again

Meanwhile I'm into
CCTV installation
Fire alarm
Electric fence....but no contract for now

Please your advice is urgently needed...

If you have opportunity for someone to buy you any car (Tok) of your choice for E-hailing bizz with agreement of paying the person back his money (just the actual amount).

WHICH CAR WILL YOU GO FOR? and if you have any reason please do share. Thanks a lot
