I know it's not easy. But try and put a stop to it. The faster you do, the more happy and fulfill you would become. I'm in the same shoes. I have been addicted to cigarette, alcohol and prostitution for more than thirteen years. Since the first week of January 2026, after my dad spoke to me rudely about my smoking habit, I made a decision to stay off. I can tell you I have been fulfill and happy all this days. Because I have not been a slave to them again. Guess what, I went to church last Sunday, I have never been free of guilt and worthy of been in God's presence, and serving Him like I felt that day, I was pretty impressive and excited about myself, and I know God is also happy with me. You know why I felt that way? Because I stayed away from sin and distraction, which has been hunting me for too long.

But I can tell you that, I just came back from the Midweek service, on my way home, the devil reminded me of going to have a stick of cigarette again, and I struggle to say no to the devil.

My encouragement is to try your best to quite. Sure, you are going to be tempted to go back, but I can't suggest to you how you are going to handle that.
You should know how to do that. God help us.
