The woman has been misled and the originating bank didn't manage the situation well enough. In cases like this, the beneficiary bank will never honor any repatriation request from her, individually. Only her bank can do that on her behalf. The initiating bank is supposed to ask her to provide a court order mandating the beneficiary bank to repatriate the funds back to the initiating account. Such document/directive will be communicated to the beneficiary bank. If the account is still funded, the beneficiary bank is obligated to refund or repatriate whatever that was salvaged.

However, if the fund has been utilised/moved to another beneficiary or utilized for end-user services which has been rendered, the beneficiary bank can't refund her because the fund has depleted.

Meanwhile, the beneficiary bank can't just accede to her request individually, she should go to her bank and take it up with them. Erroneous transfer is not really hard to resolve if the fund has not been utilised.

She produced a court order which at that time the beneficiary had withdrawn the money.

I always tell people don’t always rush to send money especially big funds please check and recheck to avoid stories that touch.
