You know why the sufferings of Nigerians does not bother me?

Cuz after all the suffering, poverty and deaths, we would still vote for the same APC we swore to remove. All it'll take is just a half bag of rice.

I assure you that the poorest of the poor would still gladly vote for APC next year, they would even kill whoever votes for the opposition parties.

Nigerians haven't died or suffered enough. I want the country to suffer more than famine hit countries, maybe that'll bring everyone back to their senses.

How I laugh at this write up because it stinks of ignorance.

Nigerians hardly vote because they believe the system is rigged and their votes don't count coupled with high level of voting violence. Last year, APC goons in Lagos threatened anyone voting against APC should stay back home after losing the presidential election in Lagos to the opposition. It happened in other states.

The other day, a tough was boasting about killing 32 people and nothing happened. No one wants to be a statistics and that's why you see youths playing football on that day instead going out to exercise their civil rights.

There are so many that will take whatever inducement and still go ahead to vote for their voice candidate if free and fair election is guaranteed.

In my desperation, I rolled with him honestly thinking he was the real person, until he said that I will have to buy the kit from him for 5k to resolve my own issue. Na there my brain reset, notifying me that I was speaking with the son of doom and I had to screenshots our chats and called him out. As expected, he deleted his chats immediately

Sadly, propaganda is a part of war. And in a fast-paced war like this, people will believe whatever is thrown out. It often takes a few hours to days for the truth (or the whole truth) to become known.

For a start, Israel (and the US) are known to hide information. They lie about everything, even down to casualties, interceptions, and rocket impacts. So it is very very very very difficult to believe whatever they say. In most cases, we rely on assessments, patterns, past behavior, and news reports to uncover the truth.

That said, claims of Nethanyahu's death were based on several observations, including the fact that he disappeared from the public, and he and his son stopped tweeting. It also coincided with Iranian attacks on major Israeli military installations.

The fact that Israel itself went on to post AI videos of Nethanyahu didn't help either and further buttressed the claims that he was dead. I generally employ a wait-and-see approach with these sort of news, but don't be surprised that people believed it. Every indication pointed it to it being true.

Posting AI videos is a normality for Israel. A few days ago, I posted a report here from CBS talking about how the Israeli government was posting fake AI videos on their official Twitter accounts. The specific video here was of an Iranian Basij member being blown up. The video was AI but looked very real.

Lastly, Iran wasn't going to come out and just tell the world that the Ayatollah is dead. It can affect morale, cause his hardcore supporters to behave irrationally, put his replacements at risk, cause a power vacuum, lead to widespread civil disobedience, all of which can affect the IRGC's ability to respond. So it made sense that they delayed the announcement.

Propaganda is an essential part of war to boost troops morales and also quieten home front. US employed it in Vietnam war when they lied about number of viet congs killed.

But what purpose does that serve here since Nigeria( I believe we all are Nigerians) is in no way involved in this war. Whose morales are these Propaganda boosting.

Because the downing usually occurs near the border. Sometimes the pilots manage to steer the destroyed aircraft to neighboring friendly countries.

Sometimes the US & neighboring countries sends special forces to retrieve the pilot and destroy the aircraft completely.

Point one acceptable but that should be rare since the objective should be to down them inside Tehran as deterrence.

Point 2 reads funny. Why won't Iranian military engage those special forces? Any reason? Do they literally vaporise the aircraft as no single evidence is left behind as against what happened when the US took out Osama.

One thing I have observed about this war is that people I expect to verify information before posting it are actually falling for propaganda.
You can support a particular nation while still being objective.

I was disappointed when I saw some people I respected here believing that Netanyahu was dead without any concrete proof. Even Iran did not provide any proof of his death, yet some people still believed it.
