Karl , brother of former #BBNaija housemate, Uriel Ngozi Oputa may be dropping a hint about his sexuality via the photo sharing social media network, Instagram.
The heavily bearded man posted a photo that carried as part of its captioned #blackgayman. This may mean he is gay and it may also mean on the other hand , just showing support for the LGBT community.
It would be surprising if the man actually meant he is gay because it is a crime in Nigeria .
Being gay in the country attracts up to 14 years imprisonment.
While coming out as LGBT in some communities may be very easy, it has to be done with caution in other climes . Many people drop the hint first by wearing dresses and accessories bearing LGBT insignia. Others do by first hanging out with the LGBT cliques while some just come out to their friends and loved ones directly .

When 43-year - old Anukaenyi Bob-Manuel Ogochukwu was caught on the suspicion of being a drug courier at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport , Lagos on Wednesday, he initially denied having anything to do with drugs.
NDLEA Commander at the Lagos airport , Ahmadu Garba , said the suspect was apprehended during the inward screening of passengers on an Ethiopian Airline flight from Nairobi .
Spokesperson for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency , Mr . Mitchell Ofoyeju, said that hours after he was placed in seclusion and under observation , Ogochukwu excreted 66 wraps of heroine weighing 1. 1kg .
That was when he started to beg officials of the agency .
The suspect, who was returning from Nairobi , Kenya , said his four -year - old son was on hospital admission over a life threatening ailment .
Ogochukwu, an Anambra State indigene, explained that he decided to smuggle the drugs to save the life of his son .
He said , “ I teach in a computer school at Onitsha , Anambra State . This is my very first time of having anything to do with drugs. The doctor said that my child has a hole in the heart.
“ I met many people for help but nobody was willing to help me except a drug baron. My son is currently at a hospital in Nairobi with my wife who is Kenyan .
“ The baron who is from Tanzania promised to pay me $2, 000 to take care of my child’ s medical bills. I took the decision to smuggle the drugs into Nigeria because I am very worried about the condition of my son . ”
The Chairman of NDLEA , Col . Muhammad Abdallah , said the excuse Ogochukwu gave for his involvement in drug smuggling was not tenable .
“ No explanation is tenable for committing a crime . Drug trafficking is a criminal offence and the suspect will be charged accordingly . The suspect ’ s action only complicated his condition because he is here facing a criminal charge while the responsibility of taking care of his sick son now rests solely on the wife . ”
If convicted, the NDLEA said the suspect is facing a minimum of fifteen years imprisonment.

The Housemates walked into the Arena and Biggie explained the rules of engagement to them.
As the Housemates entered into the Arena and got geared up, Big Brother’s ominous voice boomed over the PA system to explain the rules of engagement to them. Biggie took time to explain all the requirements of the six different stages to them.
With the rules carefully explained, Biggie called TBoss to the starting line to kick off this evening’s Arena games. TBoss seemed to be all kinds of ready as she blitzed through all the stages of the obstacle course to set a blistering time of 1:44 seconds. A great way to set off the proceedings and an outstanding time to beat.
Up next was ThinTallTony, and determined not to be outdone by anybody, he stumbled a bit at the first stage but used his long limbs to make up time as he finished the entire course with a record time of 1:43 seconds. He beat TBoss’ time by one second and moved up the leader board to first place.
Debie-Rise was third to the starting line and she faltered at the first stage where she lingered for over two minutes. Finally overcoming stage one, she tried her best to make up the lost time but alas, she couldn’t complete the course and got buzzed out.
Bassey stepped up to the starting line buoyed by the fact that he had two wins in the Arena under his belt. Biggie’s obstacle course appears to be a giant killer as he faltered at various stages, getting stuck at the last stage for a while, finally completing the course with a time of 2:41 seconds.
The diminutive Marvis was up next and she wasted no time hitting Biggie’s obstacle course. She tried her best at tackling all the individual stages setting a good pace, but alas, a slight stumble at the final stage saw her finishing the course at a time of 1;51 seconds; putting her in third place on the leader board.
Bally sauntered to the starting line and got stuck in at the sound of the buzzer. Going through the stages at his own pace, he worked his way to the final obstacle where he attempted to flick ping pong balls into a bowl of water across the Arena. He finally landed a ball into the bowl and clocked in at 2:09 seconds placing him in fourth place.
Bisola stepped up next and wasted no time in getting stuck in. She faltered at the first obstacle which has officially become the biggest killer on the night. She finally got past the first obstacle and proceeded to attempt the other stages of the obstacle course, but half way through her time lapsed and she got buzzed out too. She joined Debie-Rise at the bottom of the leader board as the disqualified Housemates.
Efe, the last but not the least stepped to the starting line and as soon as the buzzer sounded, he attacked the first stage with fervour. Making good time all through the different stages, he got to the final stage looking like he was going to shatter all the times posted earlier, but alas, he stumbled at the final obstacle on the course and finally finished at a time of 2:32 seconds.
With all the Housemates having gone through the course, Biggie gave accolades to the deserving Housemates praising TBoss for being the best performing female on the night but sadly there can only be one winner, and with a time of 1:43 seconds, ThinTallTony was announced as the winner of a luxury treat from Biggie.

On Wednesday at St . Louis International Airport , an airport employee tried getting a photo with
Nicki Minaj ’ s ex, Meek Mill , and let’ s just say it didn’ t end in smiles as he wasn ’ t in the mood for photos .
According to TMZ, airport police were called and Meek, along with 2 airport employees , were charged with misdemeanour assault and summoned to appear in court in lieu of arrest .
The American rapper is on probation for a weapons and drug conviction and this could be a violation , landing him in more trouble with the law .

A Muslim cleric , Kazeem Alimson , popularly known as Alfa has been arrested for killing a three - year -old boy , Chiagozie Okereke at the White Sand area of Isheri- Oshun, Ejigbo , Lagos .
A 15- year -old boy, Simon Kanu, said he was paid N 500 by the said Alimson to lure the baby , adding that the baby was killed with a heavy stone in his presence.
The deceased ’ s mother explained that her baby went missing around 7. pm on Tuesday after she brought him out for his evening bath .
She narrated : “ When I finished bathing the younger one, I went inside to get the wrapper to strap him in order to enable me bathe the other child. But on getting outside , I didn ’ t see my baby again . The sister said he went into my neighbour’ s house but I didn ’ t see him there and when I asked , they said he went out with Simon.
“ I called my son ’ s name but there was no response. Later , we saw Simon that night, I asked him about the whereabouts of my son , he said he did not see him . Simon took my son , strangled him with his shirt and stoned him to death . He is my third child. I feel hurt . My heart is broken . I need justice . ”
The Isheri Osun Divisional Police Officer ( DPO ) , Emeodi Camilus, a Chief Superintendent of Police ( CSP) , who got a tip - off, rushed to the scene and arrested the two suspects.
During interrogation , Simon . a primary six pupil added that the Alfa took him and the child to an uncompleted building where the boy was murdered with a heavy stone.
“ I went to site and I saw how he killed Chigozie , ” he said .
“ He tied him up and was making incantation before hitting him with a stone three times. He said he would kill me if I told anybody . He also showed me his juju knife and that he would use it to kill me if I told anyone. ”
But the cleric denied the allegation , claiming that he is not a ritualist but a cult member.
He said : “ I was in my house sleeping when I heard people shouting . When I came out, I saw some policemen and when I asked , I was told that they saw a dead child. I went back inside, and 30 minutes later , the police came back and arrested me . I don’ t know the boy and I have never spoken to him . ”
At this point, the teenager interjected and said , “ You are lying. He was giving me sign with his eyes not to talk . I saw you when you were using the stone to hit him until he died . ”
The Divisional Police Officer of Isheri Osun revealed that the boy’ s dead body was found in the suspect ’ s house after a search was conducted.

A neighbour, who noticed that the car was not in the usual parking lot, alerted Bulama that her car had been stolen .
Bulama , who spoke with our correspondent on the telephone , said the case was reported at the Victoria Island Police Division.
She added that the suspect was caught on Tuesday, adding that the vehicle had been recovered.
She said , “ She was formerly working for my friend , who travelled out of the country . I decided to employ her and she had been working for me for the past five years without any record of blemish. In fact , I cannot say anything bad about her because she is the best housemaid one can ever have .
“ I travelled for a wedding and left her with the car key . A few days later , my Indian neighbour called me and asked if I told somebody to pick my car and I said no .
“ I immediately called her and asked why my car was not at the parking lot. She said it was not true, that the car was right there . A few minutes later , she became unreachable on the phone. ”
She said her neighbours went to report the case to the police, which launched a manhunt for the suspect .
Bulama said she later learnt from Wilson ’ s friend that she hatched the plot with her boyfriend.
She said the car was tracked to somewhere in Lagos where it had been sold for N 2. 6m , adding that the buyer transferred the money to the suspect through e - banking .
Wilson was said to have later updated her Facebook page , posting a snapshot of herself .

Arsene Wenger blamed Laurent Koscielny ’ s dismissal for the 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich on Tuesday that condemned Arsenal to a humiliating 10- 2 aggregate Champions League defeat.
Trailing 5-1 from the first leg , Arsenal pulled a goal back through Theo Walcott in the first half before Koscielny was sent off in the 54th minute for a challenge on Robert Lewandowski.
Lewandowski scored the subsequent penalty and Bayern ran riot against Arsenal’ s 10 men as Wenger ’ s side limped out of the competition in the last 16 for the seventh season running .
“ We produced the game we wanted and we were really unlucky , ” Arsenal manager Wenger told BT Sport at the Emirates Stadium .
“ Some of the decisions of the referee were very difficult to understand. Lewandowski’ s offside , there ’ s no penalty .

The Federal Government has advised Nigerians against visiting the United States of America at the moment except for crucial matters as a result of the lack of clarity in the country’ s new immigration rules.
The advisory was sequel to the barring of some Nigerians, with valid US visas, from entering the US in recent weeks.
“ At least , four Nigerians with valid visas were denied entry to the US within the last two weeks and sent back to the country on the next available flights, ” the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Matters , Abike Dabiri -Erewa , told The PUNCH on Monday .
In a statement on Monday , Dabiri- Erewa advised Nigerians without any compelling or essential reasons to visit the US to consider delaying their trip “ until there is clarity in the new immigration policy . ”
She added , “ In the last few weeks, the office has received a few cases of Nigerians with valid multiple -entry US visas , being denied entry and sent back to Nigeria .
“ In such cases reported to the office , the affected persons were sent back immediately on the next available flights and their visas were cancelled . ”
She reminded Nigerians in the Diaspora to abide by the rules and regulations of their host countries and be good ambassadors of the country .
Francis Adekola , who was affected by the immigration restriction, explained that he was prevented from attending a friend ’ s wedding in Mississippi on February 15, 2017.
Narrating his bitter experience , Adekola said he was detained for over 10 hours before he was placed on aircraft and returned to Abuja via Johannesburg.
He said , “ I travelled to the US on February 15, but when we got to the Atlanta airport , where I was to connect another flight , I was asked to step aside at the check - in counter by an armed border protection officer .
“ He walked me to the luggage section and searched my wallet and bag. He also collected my telephone ( set) and went through the contents : SMSes , pictures , WhatsApp chats , everything. ”
Adekola , who recently finished his Ph. D at a Canadian university, said he was informed by the immigration agent that he did not have strong ties in Nigeria and that he might not go back home if allowed into the US .
Though he was allowed to speak to someone in the US, he stated that he was still prevented from entering America.
Adekola added that his mobile was not returned to him until he got to Johannesburg.
“ My documents were not released to me until the plane was airborne on its way to Abuja even though my home was in Lagos , ” he said .
He explained that he saw some nationals of other countries , who were also denied entry to the US, noting that the wasted trip cost him over N 1m in airfare.
The US embassy could not be reached for comment as it had yet to respond to an email, sent to it , seeking its reaction to the barring of Nigerians .
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also unavailable for comment .
Its spokesman, Clement Aduku , did not return calls to his mobile and had yet to respond to an SMS as of the time of filing this report on Monday .
Trump signs new executive order
The US President , Donald Trump signed an executive order on January 27, 2017, barring people from seven , Muslim - majority countries from travelling to the US for 90 days.
It also stopped all refugees for 120 days and Syrian refugees permanently .
The ban caused global outrage as well as chaos across the US before it was frozen by a legal ruling .
The US Mission to Nigeria had earlier assured Nigerians that the executive order on immigration would not affect Nigerians, noting that visa applicants would continue to get two - year multiple entry visas as before .
It also said the order would not affect the validity of visas held by Nigerians , noting that its visa policy to Nigeria had not changed.
The US Ambassador to Nigeria , Stuart Symington , and the US Consular Chief , Meghan Moore , had explained to journalists on February 3, 2017 that the US visa policy was based on reciprocity , stressing that Nigerians would not be discriminated against.
Trump signs new travel ban , exempts Iraq
Meanwhile, Trump signed a new executive order on Monday barring immigration from six Muslim -majority countries, dropping Iraq from the January’ s previous order , and reinstating a temporary blanket ban on all refugees .
It removed language in the original order that indefinitely banned Syrian refugees and called for prioritising the admission of refugees , who are religious minorities in their home countries.
That provision drew criticism of a religious test for entry and would have prioritised Christians over Muslims fleeing war - torn countries in the Middle East.
The new ban, which takes effect on March 16, also explicitly exempts citizens of the six banned countries, who are legal US permanent residents or have valid visas to enter the US – including those whose visas were revoked during the original implementation of the ban , senior administration officials said .
“ We cannot compromise our nation ’ s security by allowing visitors entry when their own governments are unable or unwilling to provide the information we need to vet them responsibly or when those governments actively support terrorism, ” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said on Monday .
The new measures will block citizens of Syria , Iran, Libya , Somalia, Sudan and Yemen from obtaining visas for at least 90 days.
The order also suspends admission of refugees into the US for 120 days , directing US officials to improve vetting measures for a programme that is already widely regarded as extremely stringent.
Trump signed the executive order in the Oval Office outside the view of reporters and news cameras, after more than three weeks of repeated delays , the latest of which came after White House officials decided last week to delay the signing to avoid cutting into positive coverage of Trump’ s joint address to Congress.

Weeks after backing out of a planned protest walk against bad governance which had already gathered momentum , pop star , Innocent Ujah Idibia aka 2face , crept back into the headlines when he made a donation of N 3. 5m to Internally Displaced Persons in the country.
The singer presented the cheque on behalf of his 2face Foundation to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Lagos , during the week and he enjoined other privileged Nigerians to do same.
On his reason for making the donation, the Nfana Ibaga singer said , “ I was not pleased with the conditions at the IDP camps when I visited recently . Considering the suffering and deprivation that those people have gone through , I decided to contribute my own bit . These are our fellow citizens we are talking about here and I think that everybody who is in a position to help should do so . The UNHCR is doing a great job and this is our own way of supporting them . ”
According to available statistics from the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre, the number of internally displaced persons in the country as of December 2015 stood at about 2, 152, 000 people.

The Senate is to screen the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria , Justice Walter Onnoghen, on Wednesday ( today) . The screening will hold at the plenary by the Committee of the Whole .
The Senate President , Bukola Saraki , while announcing on Tuesday that Onnoghen would be screened on Wednesday at 11am , urged the lawmakers to be punctual for the exercise.
The Senate , on Tuesday, also confirmed the nomination of a non- career ambassadorial -nominee from Ogun State , Mr . Adeyinka Asekun.
Asekun, who was dropped from the first list of nominees reviewed by President Muhammadu Buhari , was nominated again by the acting President , Prof. Yemi Osinbajo .
Saraki had, last week , read a letter from the acting President on the confirmation of a new substantive CJN.
In the letter, dated February 7, 2017, with reference number . SH /AG. PRESIDENT SEN /02/0, Osinbajo sought legislative confirmation of the appointment of Justice Onnoghen of the Supreme Court as the CJN.
The letter partly read , “ Following the recommendation of the National Judicial Council , I hereby notify you of the appointment of Honourable Justice Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen, CFR , as the Chief Justice of Nigeria . ”

The insurgents have been said to attack an helicopter belonging to the Nigeria Airfoce
The insurgents laid armbush in Gwoza on wednesday thereafter attacked the NAF helicopter which was on a medical outreach to the Internally Displaced Persons ’ camp in Gwoza .
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information , Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa, confirmed the incident, adding that the air strike nullified scores of the insurgents.
He said , “ Our helicopter conveying personnel on medical outreach programme at Gwoza came under attack by members of the Boko Haram terrorists group . The Mi- 17 helicopter was shot at several times by the insurgents . However, there was no casualty except for an airman that sustained bullet wound .

The workshop with the theme ” 2016 Sokoto State Budget Performance Review and Public Hearing on 2017 Budget Workshop ” was a platform for the review of the ministry ’ s nearly N 6 billion 2016 budget .
Represented by Alhaji Mohammed Ladan , a Director in the ministry , Kakale said the hospital also conducted 162 VVF surgeries.
Kakale added , ‘‘ Over two million children were immunized in the state while the process of transforming Primary Health Care under one roof in the state has reached over ninety per cent ” .
He said other achievements recorded in the health sector included the reactivation of quarterly free plastic surgeries at the Noma Hospital, Sokoto by foreign surgeons .
The commissioner disclosed that the state government provided a N 100 million take off grant for the Contributory Health Scheme while more than three million people were provided free malaria drugs.
” Health staff were recruited and posted across the state to shore up the provision of efficient healthcare services to the people.
” Several other construction and renovation projects as well as provision of hospital equipment, drugs and medicament were executed in 2016.
” This was not , however , without challenges like recession, delay in releases of funds, poor internal revenue generation and multiple taxation of private health facilities . ”

Our correspondent had reported that Segun and his wife , Sola, had last Monday attacked Solaja, over a chicken roost owned by them in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State .
Solaja, who owned a house beside the Irehins, had allegedly complained to the couple that his family was being disturbed by the fowls, which led to a fight.
He allegedly died from the injuries he sustained after being beaten by the couple.
Our correspondent learnt that Segun was an elder with the Jehovah Witnesses .
Clement, who claimed to be a primary witness , said 57-year -old Segun had equally sustained injuries , adding that Solaja, not Segun , was the aggressor.
He said , “ I am the owner of the chickens . I bought them sometime in December , 2016 and I discovered that they were dying one - by- one. So , I decided to sell them off.
“ I was passing by the road when I saw the pastor ’ s ( Segun) roost . I approached and asked him to allow me to keep the chickens in his roost . He told me that he would have loved to buy the chickens , but he didn ’ t have the money. He said I could keep them in his roost, but I would be coming twice a day to clean up the surroundings .
“ Last Monday when this incident happened , I was cleaning the roost when I saw the man ( Solaja) and he asked if I owned the chickens and I answered in the affirmative . He asked who gave me the permission to keep the chickens there and I told him it was pastor ( Segun) . He asked if he was around and I said yes .
“ He went to the door of the house and started shouting . I didn ’ t say anything because I didn ’ t know who he was .
“ It was mummy ( Sola) that came out first . There was a lot of noise . As mummy was trying to respond , daddy ( Segun) came out and accused him ( Solaja) of harassing the family . As they were arguing, he hit daddy and punched him . Both of them fell and he continued punching him . Daddy was holding his clothes and could not retaliate because he is an old man . ”
Clement said at that point , he decided to intervene and separate the fight.
Clement, who claimed to be a gospel artiste , said he believed there had been “ hatred and envy” between the two families.
He said while Segun went into the house to clean his blood , Solaja headed for the station on the advice of some residents .
He explained that when Segun also wanted to go to the police station, the victim ’ s wife held him back “ so that her husband would be the first to reach the station. ”
Clement lamented that he had yet to return to the house to check his chickens which might have died from hunger .
A relative of the suspects, who did not want to be identified , said the Irehins had been living in the area for over nine years , adding that they had been in the poultry business before changing to piggery .
He claimed that Idowu and his wife moved into the area last year and complained about the piggery.
He said , “ Last year September , he relocated the pigs to where they eventually died due to bad environment.
“ After the fight over the chickens , the man went to the police station and said he wanted the matter charged to court . I went to get a lawyer to bail Segun out around 2pm .

The Lagos State Governor , Akinwunmi Ambode , on Monday said there were plans to remove yellow buses , popularly known as danfo, from Lagos roads.
He explained that danfo would give way to a more efficient , well- structured and world - class mass transport system that would facilitate ease of movement within the city .
Ambode also said his administration had completed work on a comprehensive environmental sanitation policy that would make the city to be clean without any burden on the people in terms of taxes .
Speaking at the 14th annual lecture of the Centre for Values in Leadership ( CVL ) at the Muson Centre in Onikan with the theme , ‘ Living Well Together , Tomorrow : The Challenge of Africa ’ s Future Cities, ’ Ambode admitted that the danfo transport system in Lagos was not acceptable and befitting of a megacity, adding that a well -structured transport mode was needed to address the challenge.
He said , “ When I wake up in the morning and see all the yellow buses , okadas ( motorcycles ) and all kinds of tricycles, I feel that the claim that we are a megacity is not true. We must acknowledge that it is a faulty connectivity that we are running .
“ We have to look for a solution and that is why we want to banish yellow buses this year . We must address the issue of connectivity that makes people to move around with ease and that is where we are going. ”
The governor said the main objective of his administration was the growth of the Lagos economy from fifth to the third largest economy in Africa .
In his opening remarks, CVL founder and renowned development expert, Prof. Pat Utomi, said the idea behind the formation of the group was to get young people to appreciate early that leadership was all about service to the people .
Chairman on the occasion and a former Governor of Cross River State , Liyel Imoke, said Nigeria ’ s population by 2050 would have tripled , adding that it was important for the country to start planning for liveable cities.
On his part, the Director of Centre for African Economies, Oxford University, Prof. Paul Collier, who was also the keynote speaker, said the country should start building its cities , with recourse to the population projection of Nigeria by 2050.

The party said the purchase of Imo Air was done at the expense of workers in the state, adding that it was a misplacement of priority .
The statement partly read , “ As of today, pensioners and civil servants in Imo State are being owed months of salary arrears. There is alarming unemployment and total collapse of infrastructure while there is no functional education or health care system in all the 27 local government areas of the state.
“ We call on President Buhari to ask Okorocha to sell the aircraft and return the money for the payment of workers ’ backlog of salaries, settlement of pension arrears and gratuities, building of infrastructure and other developmental needs of the state. ”
Okorocha , however , said the 10-year partnership between Dana Air and the Imo State Government on the running of Imo Air , was borne out of the desire to increase business activities, improve tourism and provide employment opportunities for residents of the state.
“ This is a happy moment in the state. The aim of going into this business is because I want to drive traffic to Imo State as Imo is genuinely becoming the fastest developing state outside Abuja and Lagos , ” Okorocha said while inaugurating Imo Air last week.
