The point is visa applications can be denied at any giving time even if you have all supporting documents to prove your case.

The issue might not even be from you it might also be the current situation of the country (Nigeria).

The situation of a particular country (Nigeria) also has an effect on how visa applications are treated.

If a country is doing very poorly then the effect trickles down negatively to how visa applications are handled.

I understand your frustrations I was also denied a Canadian visa this year even with vast travel experience I had to advanced western countries.

At this point you should not just rush and apply without knowing the root cause of visa denial so you have to order a GCMS note.

A GCMS notes contains all information about how your visa application file was processed from the beginning of your application till the end and how a conclusion was reached by the visa officer.

GCMS notes contains details of how your information was shared between USA and Canada, how your information was shared with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). It contains the note left behind on your profile by the visa officer that actually denied your application.


It took my GCMS note 35 calendar days to arrive via email as a PDF file. Mine was 31 pages.

Thank You for this, I am starting to believe that these embassies do not thoroughly go through visa application from Nigerians, They already have a built up negative mindset just looking to pick up holes in an application and hold on to that as reason for denials.

I have once submitted a dollar account and the visa officer turned down the application on basis of insufficient fund, Quoting the end balance of the statement in Naira, How will a trained visa officer not check out the currency of a statement and clumsily assume it must be naira.
There can not be a higher level of contempt or skepticism for Nigerian applicants from these guys. They are ripping Nigerians off thier hard earned money and I bet they are enjoying it, Yahoo Yahoo Embassies!

The purpose of the application is Tourism i.e Vacation.

The family is made up of 6 members, Parents and 4 kids.

Havent personally experienced this but looks like tourist visas are getting harder by the day and even good applicants on paper are being turned down. I would suggest GCMS notes for a case like this because if their profile is as you say, solid travel history , solid income and account balance and ties in form of job and investments , its hard to see why theyd be refused

Wow! Someone that earns 2.5 million can easily accumulate 30 million in his account.
Moreover it is a family of 6, they will burn 4 to 6 million for a vacation in the US and Canada taking into consideration flight tickets and hotel accommodations, to do so one needs to have a deep pocket.

I helped an uncle with his Canadian visa family vacation application.
Man has traveled to UK,US,Dubai,India. He has traveled with his family to the US before on vacation.
He has a good Job, earn between 1.8 to 2.5 million monthly salary.
He has several investments in landed properties.
He just renewed his US visa 2years along with all members of his family.
I scanned and submitted all evidences of this, the statement has over 30 million naira, the other about 8 million naira.

The application was refused. They simply put that they are not sure he will come back.

I am mad! Do this people close thier eyes and make decisions on these applications?
I submitted everything, introduction letter from place of work, promotions he has had over the years and salary increment. investments in landed properties....everything, scanned and submitted.

I plan to reapply?
Any suggestions what went wrong with previous application or hint on what to do different now.


I even submitted an itenary linking thier trip from Nigeria to America(they all have 2 years US visa) to Canada and back.


what else could I have done?

I want to reapply for them.
