The NPA doesnt dorce anyone to use any particular port. Use what ever suits your interest. The other seaports in port east have been recieving attention by NPA. Those shallow ports are just place holder until Ibom seaport is ready anyway.

There is an already old gauge lines, working. So as a temporary measure to decongest the port what should you do? Build a new narrow guage to the east?
If the only option I have currently is to use the existing one, why not?
Have you seen Dangote offload on Teusdays? No you have not.
If you do, you will have an idea.
Have you seen lorries along okene road? You compare that to the ones going to SE?
You think its only we Igbos that offload? People offload one full ship for themselves alone and most of them are northerners.

Are you aware that River Niger will soon be dredged? The only thing holding that up is the 2nd Niger bridge.
This means that my cargo can sail directly to Onitsha and offload. We dont really need cargo train compared to the north with no river channels.
For now, I offloaded my last container Feb in Calabar. I don't understand the fuss about Lagos port.

Moving items meant for Onitsha and Benin to Dry Ports in Kaduna, meanwhile the Ports in Warri, Sapele, Onne, Calabar in Amaechis region of South South are experiencing very low traffic.
