Family / The Risks And Consequences Of Inbreeding: A Comprehensive Overview by Essien56(m): 10:48pm On May 26
Inbreeding, a common practice in both humans and animals, involves breeding individuals with close genetic relationships to produce offspring with desired traits. However, this process comes with significant risks, as it increases the likelihood of passing on harmful recessive genes, leading to various health problems and genetic disorders. In this discussion, we will explore the consequences of inbreeding in both human and animal populations and its impact on genetic diversity. Additionally, we will distinguish inbreeding from linebreeding, a related breeding technique.

Inbreeding is the practice of breeding individuals with a close genetic relationship, such as siblings or first cousins, to produce offspring with desired traits or characteristics. This can occur in both humans and animals.

Inbreeding increases the chances of passing on harmful recessive genes, which can lead to health problems and genetic disorders. In humans, inbreeding can result in a higher risk of:
1. Genetic disorders
2. Birth defects
3. Developmental delays
4. Reduced fertility
5. Increased risk of certain diseases

In animals, inbreeding can lead to:

1. Weakened immune systems
2. Reduced fertility
3. Increased risk of genetic disorders
4. Decreased adaptability
5. Reduced overall health and fitness

Inbreeding can also lead to a reduction in genetic diversity, making populations more vulnerable to disease and environmental changes.
It's important to note that inbreeding is not the same as linebreeding, which is a breeding technique used to concentrate desirable traits in a specific breed or lineage while minimizing the risks associated with inbreeding.

In conclusion, it's crucial to understand the potential risks and consequences associated with inbreeding, both in humans and animals. The increased likelihood of passing on harmful recessive genes and the reduction in genetic diversity can lead to a range of health issues and decreased adaptability. It's important to differentiate inbreeding from linebreeding, which focuses on concentrating desirable traits while minimizing the risks. Awareness and responsible breeding practices are essential in mitigating the negative impacts of inbreeding on populations.

I run a Co-operative scheme by lending money to business people ranging from N50,000 to N300,000 to improve their businesses. N300,000 is our maximum for now. We do not mobilize daily or monthly deposits before giving loan to people.

We are looking for people that can lend money to our company on a short period of 3 - 12 months to help us expand our loan business.  We have approached several Micro-finance banks without luck because of their interest rates.

Presently, we are working on how we can get loan/overdraft from a bank which will take the next 2 months since we have to run our account for 3 months.

If anybody have information on how to secure a loan from a Micro-finance Bank or any bank / organization within a short period of time and at reasonable rates, that will be highly appreciated.

We will work out a good deal with you if you are interested.

Thank you.

Reading Robert Kiyosaki's books changed my life. Am presently working on a principle I learnt from his latest book " The Conspiracy of the Rich", Cash Flow vs Capital Gains.

I am forever a ROBERT KIYOSAKI fan!

I am thinking of starting a micro finance scheme by lending money to business people and collecting interest on the money every month. I don't have the capacity of registering as a Micro Finance Bank (MFB) yet.

Am looking at registering as a LOAN AND SAVINGS SCHEME but more emphasis on lending money and not collecting deposits.

Who do I register with? Can I register it as a COOPERATIVE SOCIETY? If yes, with who?

Thanks.
Programming / Re: New In Database World, can Oracle Improve My Chances Of Getting A Good Job? by Essien56(m): 1:22pm On Oct 23, 2007
Are you going into Oracle as a Developer or Database Administrator? There is a high prospect for Oracle Database Administrators but you must become Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) by writing two exams to be relevant.

You have to study well. You have to take the training seriously. You have to know it. It is not just about writing examinations. Oracle Database is widely deployed in Nigeria from banks, insurance, health, telecommunication sectors etc.

All the best.
Programming / Re: Can IT Certifications Get Me a Profitable Job With My Third Class Degree by Essien56(m): 12:35pm On Oct 23, 2007
If you can afford the fees, go for it. At the end of the programme, you will become a Software Developer based on industry standard rather than the cut and join approach of reading books and listening to CDs on your own. Am not saying with this programme you wont read books. Infact, IT requires a lot of reading for you to be up to date. There is an extent to which you can go on your own. Am telling you this from experience. Am going for a BEng Software Engineering course in the UK next year for two years in spite of the cost.

Don't allow anybody to confuse you. Find out from them how far they have gone with their programming career as cut and join developers. Go for the best if you can afford it.

Take care.
