@Ilorin their zeal is for the want of a better word nauseating. Dr.Host now defending OAU, isn't it thesame OAU where students helplessly sing 'for learning and torture'?

My classmate in Lingustics, OAU said she sheded tears after seeing her exam questions...without even touching it yet. All the good this and good that is all a tale of cocks and bulls.

@Sir.PrOton, My Sister for a day, Estijaz and Bro from 'noda mother @Dr.Host et al. Here is a Sequel

...Soon the cool breeze rushing into the cab made the fat old lady start dozing, sleeping beauty was still well, sleeping, Mr. Loquacious and the Driver were also having a good time. Helpless Mr. Indifferent just stared on, by the way he was sharing in the lapping of the Old lady's hand-bag/ travelling bag I can't decipher. Really it was a big bag and she kept using it to hit poor Mr. Indiffrent who gruntled and sniffed once in a while.

We kept on moving at speeds dropping and rising within the range 80km/hr and 120km/hr. 25mins later a landmark whose wordings seemed to be written with water colour welcomed us to Gambari...Almost like a village. The driver began decelerating, the fat old lady now opened her eyes looking all around suspiciously, re-adjusting her "Gele" in tandem. Mr.Loquacious fiddling with his phone, tried making some calls but gave up due to the bad network coverage.

When the Driver finally brought the old can with rubber supports whose bonnets rattled to a halt, two women who sold fish came in with their containers taken to the booth by the driver. Then they exchanged pleasantries with everyone in the bus. The old fat lady mumbled something inaudible...I knew she doesn't like them, neither did I, but I nodded. But our dear Mr.Loquacious, he quickly engaged them in a mini sit com, chuckling loudly, as the Cab began moving again. Indifferent was still indifferent and like an afterthought, I tapped sleeping beauty to ask her if this wasn't where she would wish to get off, I succeded after two taps, she just shaked her head; I got the meaning. The fish sellers brought a kind of ambience with them into the Cab.

Nevertheless, the bus already in motion again, groaning and squeaking. Everyone was now wide awake, even Sleeping beauty why? Those new characters the Driver and Mr.Loquacious all reeled with laughter all which made the Driver make mistakes while trying to dodge the numerous pot-holes which dotted the road which meandered in front of us. Trust the fat old lady, he got corresponding hisses.

The fat-old lady still butting Mr.Indifferent with her handbag, started complaining in a high sonorous voice to the driver about his driving skills, that the doors of his vehicle are all without winders and telling the women and Mr.Loquacious to let the Driver concentrate on the road as she was seating on the Tyre... grin

Poor driver, obviously he wasn't a driver of Formula One how could he successfully dodge the pot-holes of varying sizes with the old jalopy itself needing alignment?. He winced and shrugged at the wheels, Mr. Loqaucious kept shut for about 10mins after which he let out a sarcastic yawn. The two ladies who sold fish both exchange knowing glances. I was grinning all along.

Soon we were staring at another Land mark which stated "Welcome to Kwara State". The driver decelerated considerably which made some young gals selling bread, bean cakes and fried cheese try exhibiting their wares. The old lady bought some cheese and bean cakes, asking the girl to give her change before giving her the money, shrieking "Dahun faa", "Hurry up". The "faa" is more like an expression like "jo"; try replacing "Faa" with "jo". Its common to Ogbomoso, Ilorin, Kwara, Osun and Ibadan towns. Mr.Loquacious just eyed the wares sold by the girls tiredly; obviously tired from vigorous chatting and laughter.

The old lady collected her change, with the women selling fish trying to see, perhaps the quantity of what the old lady bought. Now we moved closer to Ilorin bit by bit and I was already exhausted, it was about 1:20 pm in the afternoon.
yet anoda nice write-up,kudoz

@Dr.Host and Estijaz.
Ref: JOURNEY TO THE UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN FROM LAUTECH, OGBOMOSO.

I had visited the cyber cafe twice as if I wanted to book a flight to Australia, man this means more than going to Australia for me. The cyber cafe operator had looked at me the third time as though, I was the only one writing UTME '15. If only he knew my travails, if only. Immediately I printed the slip, I flagged a bike down and told the guy "School, Main gate". Yeah, it was at LauteCh's main gate, one could get a cheap ride to Ilorin as I've heared. We got there, I paid him and he zoomed off.

After waiting in the Sun for close to 30mins a old cab pulled up and the old man driving the cab got down as if on impulse ran down where I and some other man stood, speaking in Yoruba "Egbon, se Ilorin len lo". We answered saying yes and demanded to know the cost which he said N250, I refused immediately; meanwhile the other passengers in his cab where already eyeballing us, were we wasting their time?. I told him I've got N200 flat and he said we should hop on board, a decision I still regret now.

Now in the jalopy old Cab, let me introduce you to the characters in there: Sleeping Beauty, I met her asleep in the cab and she slept for most of the Journey to Ilorin, only when she got some texts, that's when she woke up, Fat Old lady, an irritable and mischievious woman who squeezes her face anytime the car unavoidably got into a pot hole. Mr. Loquacious, a man in his early thirties to me, who spoke to the driver on many issues ranging from sports, to those making blood money, to how devilish his Uncle's wife was or is, to how much he paid for school fees for his obstinate children, the indifferent man who entered the bus with me, he was aloof to quite a number of things but not to sleeping beauty which I was fortunate to seat beside grin, throwing glances at her every now and then. Some later Joined us on the way, at Gambari, Ogbomoso.

The car didn't even have an ignition, the old man just brought too wires together from underneath the dash board. When he joined those wires together, the car convulsed with the bonnet of the car shaking furiously as though it was complaining to the Driver. Then the cab spluttered back to life, he engaged the gear which made some squeaky sound and the car groaned onwards, Onwards to Ilorin at 12:42 pm.

The mischievious old lady then brought out her reading glasses and bible, I thought we were about to pray...but she just kept on reading the bible, ticking verses with a coverless pen. At about 7mins into the journey, Mr.Loquacios cell-fone started ringing, it was a CHINKO...oh my God!. And when he picked a call he spent an average of 5mins laughing and at other times frowning and raining heavy curses on some vague figures. Sleeping beauty was still sleeping, poor me. And there was Mr. Indiffrent as well.
Do not judge a book by its cover they would say, do not judge a car's speed by its chasis(my version). The car had started accelerating and I watched the Speedometer(I sat in the middle) rise from 0 to 80, isn't that enough, the speed began climbing and soon we were going at a whooping 120Km/Hr.
lol,y u nor snap pic of sleeping beauty na

For what IQ is, here you go: I.Q. (intelligence quotient) in general, is an assessment of your ability to think and reason. IQ score is a standardized way of comparing this ability with the majority of people the same age as you are. A score of 100 means that compared to these people in your general age group that you have basically an average intelligence. Most psychologists would say those scoring in a range of 95 to 105 are of a normal intelligence or have an average IQ. Actual IQ score may vary plus or minus five points since it is very difficult to get an IQ score with complete accuracy. Keep in mind, there are many outside factors that may have a negative impact on your score. For instance, if you are not feeling well at the time of taking the test. Or perhaps you are distracted by something on that particular day. These things may affect your score. Additionally, IQ is not the be all end all of a person's abilities in life. IQ score fails to measure things such as manual dexterity (obviously), musical talent, and a slew of other abilities that may lead one to many different successes in life. However, your score on an IQ test will give you a pretty accurate indication of the ability you possess to think, reason and solve problems which can often be critical in many phases of your life.

Intelligence Interval Cognitive Designation:

40 - 54 Severely challenged (Less than 1% of test takers)

55 - 69 Challenged (2.3% of test takers)

70 - 84 Below average

85 - 114 Average (68% of test takers)

115 - 129 Above average

130 - 144 Gifted (2.3% of test takers)

145 - 159Genius (Less than 1% of test takers)--NB: Einstein falls somewhere here.

160 - 175 Extraordinary genius(Which no one has literally achieved).

Meanwhile I had an Unpalatable journey to UniLorin today to check Out by Center viz CBT Center 2, my date: March 14(Next week Saturday). I'd gist you about the journey and my Impression of Almighty(As many believe) Unilorin. Till then Chao.

I have come too far now to throw in the towel...it was Medicine @Esther, I was cheated there, my dad was like"Why Agriculture?"_Obviously, they saw how daft I was they decided the best to offer me was Agric in Lieu of Med/Surg, not even my second choice which I am not gonna accept anyways. I complained, they told me to go and study Med/Surg in Ondo State(Father's state), that catchment area disqualified me.If there was Medicine in Ondo State, you think I'd ever hallucinate about going to LauTeCh...I was dazed; seems FUTA just woke up from its slumber and now are planning on having a medical school when the indigenes of Ondo have suffered and are still suffering in neighbouring Universities.
That aside, here I am today rubbing minds with great men and women, Intellectuals, World shakers, Motivators, wonderful Orators in their numbers. Now I see clearly and am kind of thanking God that I don't have to study Med/Surg in LautEch for 10 years or more. I come into U.I, I do my spade work, God crowns the efforts I made...God willing I say good by to the Dept. Of Human Physiology, The University of Ibadan. Welcome to the Department of Medicine. Pray for me dear, pray oo!. Mouth no fit do am.
