Wonderful Idea. I will be happy to be part of it.

I think we should only involve those who are participants for now........or what do you think?

Make your suggestions, maybe we can start one this weekend.

I think this is what's best. We could put our phone numbers on the thread or better yet, send to your email address(if you don't mind). I'll suggest we start ASAP.

Thanks for the advice too, it's much appreciated.

Toyin what's up.

Also karin,
don't you think it'll be better to create a whatsapp group for those interested to discuss without distraction?

I believe it might be an avenue for us to share ideas without being fearful of having it duplicated in your region by some People who read the thread in ghost mode, like olutoyiin said in her comment.

@karin.. ......Olutoyiin is quite right. Selling has been really hectic and as a matter of fact caused my silence on the thread. I've been selling in my region, though experienced some challenges initially, but thankfully, I overcame them.

I again, want to indicate my interest in the financial aid, I believe this would help boost daily sales.

Thanks

Guy, it's high time we stopped relying on others to chart our course.
Karin has done more than enough to enable anyone stand on his/ her feet. This whole effort will amount to noughts if we keep expecting her to spoonfeed us. Of what benefit is it to be blowing grammar on this thread without reasonable action?

Everything has been laid bare here, he who knows how to pound should pound inside the mortar, he who doesn't, should pound on his laps.
Karin has given out the universal formula.

Look woman, are u drunk or something? Was I not just stating the obvious, didn't you say you've been laying low yourself. Who's the one blowing grammar btw you and I? You must be way in over your head to think I'll wait for you or whoever to start this biz (it's obvious you've not been ffg the thread).

From my observation, it's clear you derive pleasure in dishing out insults and throwing tantrums. Get a grip on yourself and grow up.

I guess I'm invisible here,no one seems to be interested about my opinions, even estwhile seems to have deserted me.Could it be due to the fact I disclosed I'm a nursing mother.Well its all good, there's no need for any pity party, what I'm most certain about is that Sucess is sure for me.

Your post really caught me off guard, why would you say this? Honestly, I believe majority of the "used to be active members " of this thread have become laid back and ironically, the ones who are interested don't seem to have enough capital to commence fully. Nevertheless, I do agree with you that where there's a will there's a way.

But I thought you asked to commence next week? Would have given you a lady's contact at a public school at Ile iwe. I mentioned this before but you didn't reply.

Karin and all, Good day to you.

I must say that I am a bit disappointed with the goings on here.
OP has invested so much in this project without seeking any personal benefit. I just find this our inaction distasteful.

I seek your permission Karin to set up some people as distributors of the doughnuts in an area of my choice. I will pay for their orders and have them supplied. I will supervise them and help them grow via sponsorship and I will report to the house in respect of their progress in the trade.

In the meantime, can some one provide the phone numbers of the producers? I need to take the bull by the horns.

I feel your pain/anger, but I'll implore us all to be calm. Besides, don't you think your idea might disrupt the whole plan as it were?

@lexaydfg.. ...what's up?

My dear you got it all right, today I went on a road trip I passed through chrisland towards that redeemed estate; the area as I was told is akowonjo through shasha after which I passed through orisumibare back home.It was quite a ride,I also intend to add ile iwe axis to it as that area is also within my reach.Thank you so much for looking out for me

That's fine then, if you want Ile iwe axis too, you may drop your email address on here so I can send you the contact of the food vendor who's interested in commencing the doughnut business next week. She sells in one of the government schools there.

Also if there's any other part of ejigbo you believe is within your reach, do let me know, so I can drop that as well.

I Must commend your efforts so far, despite being a nursing mother.

@latestarter and lexayd4g........... Nicely done.

I am sure you all understand my reasons behind refusing the offer made by the Allstrasse gentleman.

Call it selfish or whatever you like but my integrity is intact and must not be brought below the bar. I am however inclined to rethink my position so that it doesn't look like I am trying to block some people from moving forward. I will think about how we can help these people and then implement a plan that will not soil anyone of us.

Please those who are genuinely interested in taking up this business but who are hindered by the initial outlay of 20,000 or less can you please indicate on thread itself? Please also indicate your preferred sales territory. We will not consider anybody in areas where people have already taken. based on the number we have we will then think up a plan. I will however reiterate that no money must come to me directly. We will just work out something for the interested people.

Again, no emails please, just indicate on the body of the thread.

I will look at the options and revert accordingly.

I'm interested in the loan as well, so long as it's interest free. Moreover, what are the terms of repayment?

thanks erstwhile I'm quite new in the area,I dont really know how to navigate the area but will make some findings.I actually stay along idimu road in ejigbo close to Chrisland. Also thumbs up for d survey

If You reside Close to Chrisland in Idimu, that means you're closer to Idimu axis. Why not consider working around idimu/orisumbare/ shasha and maybe even the tail end of egbeda(pipeline/isheri) close to Idimu. I'm of the opinion that the mentioned areas are closest to you.
More so, no one is yet to pick that region. But I stand to be corrected.

My suggestion is subject to Karin's approval though.

I feel inclined towards you due to proximity of regions, so please share your thoughts on my opinion (if you don't mind).

Please, what do you tell those schools you went to yesterday?

Basically the details karin gave:

That the doughnuts are jam filled
I supply the School vendors, who would sell at #50 to students, while vendors make their profit.

As regards my selling price, I took advantage of the present fluctuating dollar rate as the reason why I can't give a certain price, at least until next week when I get the products, but told them it'll be worth their while.

Of course not having a sample of the doughnut and also price would hinder marketing for now. My aim was to have a good knowledge of my potential customers now and lunch into full selling mode next week with the necessary details.

Note: Madam karin is yet to inform us of the purchase price, except if I missed it.
Business / Re: Start Your F.M.C.G Distribution Business With N20,000 Initial Capital by estwhile: 8:23am On Sep 29, 2016
I visited several schools yesterday and here are my findings:

*Government primary schools(at least the few I went) don't allow sales of snacks any longer. Said its not healthy eating habit for the little kids and so food vendors are restricted to offering just cooked food and fruits(saw one selling groundnut though).

*Government secondary school. A food vendor is ready to commence business with me as soon as I'm ready, (I pray that doesn't change)

*A private school (both primary and secondary) is interested as well.

*Few private schools asked for samples

*Other schools already have doughnut suppliers.

I thank God on my hits and need your advice/suggestions on the ones missed. I plan on continuing today by His grace.

Also, ..... As anyone taken Mafoluku yet?

@Olutoyin aren't you interested. It's just across Ajao estate and shouldn't be difficult to reach since you reside in ejigbo..... Just saying.

Meanwhile Oga Estwhile, don't you consider your territory rater overwhelming? The sheer geographical outlay is quite intimidating. Would you like to tell us your area and what approach you will adopt to cover this much ground? It will be interesting to know.

Actually, I stay just behind Ajao estate, in oke-afa. The settlements close by are Ajao/aswani ,ejigbo, Isolo, Jakande estate.

To be candid, I'm a bit new here but I've been seeing more of private schools.
Since I visualize the business model being a lot viable in govt schools than private, My plan is to sell enough private schools and public as well, while hoping that the nos of private schools would help boost sales. I intend going around today in search of more govt schools though.

If you're considering including another, I'll advise you give him/her Okota and it's environs, since they're not within a short distance.

Also, i understand your view on "Ajao estate", if you believe it'll be better to assign it to the person in mafoluku, you might need to add aswani to prevent a clash of regions in the future.

I need responses before we embark on the next territory delineation. I prefer doing them this way and as we conclude we move to the next. Your suggestions and and comments please.

I believe you've done a good job so far in mapping out the regions.

My fear though, is a future clash with the individual that's to take up Ajao estate if I'm to work Aswani, since both regions are side by side.
I'll suggest you take both areas as one (either they both go with Oshodi/mafoluku OR Isolo).

But in as much as I don't want to come across as self serving, I have to remind you that Ajao estate is in Isolo and not Oshodi.

Do Correct me if I'm wrong

Thanks

To move us into a higher gear, I will suggest that after getting to this stage those who may be interested in participating in this project should indicate with a post that will just mention their area in Lagos and also describe the market as he/she perceives it be as it relates to this project and the product in question.
We do not need too many people per area. We must provide enough room for each participant to grow his business into profitability.
I suppose we can use this weekend to conclude on the people that will work in the various areas.
Please your comments and opinions are welcome at this stage.

I'm interested in participating, as earlier stated. My local govt. is Oshodi/isolo which consistitutes areas like

Oke-afa
Ajao estate
Oshodi
Mafoluku
Cele
Isolo
Aswani
Okota
Ejigbo
Ikotun
Egbe
Jakande estate
Ijegun
.............................Etc

I'm not sure I understand how you want the market description to be, but these areas are quite populated and i think would be effective in test running the project.
