Fake news. The company in question doesn't own the land legally speaking. The company was given a TEMPORARY permit to use the land many decades ago. Recently they applied to be given permanent Rights over the Land. The permit was given based on conditions which is payment of necessary fees. They didn't pay for 20 months and the permit was withdrawn. They are trying to use blackmail.

Meaning they can only use the place for their construction activities temporarily, but they went ahead to build some permanent structures. They were given an opportunity 20 months ago to convert to a Permanent Right of Occupancy by paying up for the place. Unfortunately they failed to comply for 20 months. So the place was revoked.

Stop jumping up and down with conclusions till you hear from the FCTA. It might shock you that the land owners may be at default.

A man who wants to increase VAT from 7.5% to 15% by next year, in a country where inflation is already at 37%. Not minding that an increase in VAT will cause further increases in prices of goods and services (a further rise in inflation) This man apparently wants to finish Nigerians off with his voodoo economics.
