elyte89:and the post for savage of the year goes to...... |
DerideGull:if and when we play a 442 with nacho as the ss, then I think the emphasis is on his pressing not midfield or passing prowess. We will always lose the midfield battle. I expect to see a different approach today as Rohr has stated. Trying out different formations. |
MetalJigsaw:I know so many will come for my head, but been an ardent follower of nacho... I have observed he doesn't do well when asked to link midfield and attack... The ss role or am role..... The Chelsea and Poland games have confirmed my assertion.. He was poor in both games.... He's link up play is nothing to write home about... But his pressing was excellent .. He did so well in the Argentina game because odogwu Mikel was linking the play... Just my observation though... I may be wrong |
MetalJigsaw:or Mario Mandzukic.. Messi.. Or imagine Ezenwa showboating at the world cup..... Ahhhh.. I honestly believe Uzoho is a better option. He just has to improve, and probably do away with jitters. I observed at every freekick in the Poland game he was struggling to position the defence.. With more games this can be cured though. I know Ezenwa will play the Serbia game.. Cos if I were Rohr I would test him against European opposition to see how he performs.... Fingers crossed. |
komekn:lol bros.... Dis ur yannis nor comot road... E get plenty conto.... The way d thing flow pesin go just knw say na foreign..... The langua naim I mean o.... Area |
daveP:yeah... Let's focus on that... Hope to see him improve on his performance.. I'll pick him over ezenwa everyday.. And this is not a knee jerk reaction... How he deals with aerial balls and crosses, ticks it for me... Just imagine ezenwa against Algeria flapping at high balls.... My opinion though. |
tbaba1234:baba I did not say anything o.....

Las Palmas Star Etebo Rules Himself Out Of Nigeria-Serbia Pre-World Friendly Published: March 25, 2018 Las Palmas star Oghenekaro Etebo has confirmed that he will not be fit to suit up for the Super Eagles when they face Serbia in their third pre-World Cup friendly at the Hive Stadium in London this coming Tuesday, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report. The central midfielder sat out the national team's training session on Sunday morning because he did not want to aggravate his injury from which he has not fully recovered. It would be recalled that Etebo had to be substituted at half-time after suffering discomfort in the quadriceps muscle in Las Palmas's 2-0 loss to Villarreal CF in La Liga two weeks ago, and the club's medical team recommended that he should stop all sporting activities for the time being. Las Palmas are hoping that their Nigerian star will be fit for their first game after the international break against Real Madrid next weekend. Junior Ajayi, Gabriel Okechukwu and Mikel Agu, who did not figure against Poland, participated in the national team's training session this morning. With Etebo ruling himself out of the friendly against Serbia, manager Gernot Rohr has six central midfielders to pick from - John Ogu, Eddy Onazi, Joel Obi, Wilfred Ndidi, Uche Agbo and Agu. Igho Kingsley |
Truidstar:oga komekn... You really believe unreservedly that some of us here know better than the technical crew.. Even with the results... *covers face*... This is very funny. ... Lol.... Really conceited on your part... |
komekn:he made that statement tongue in cheek as a reaction to metaljigsaw's criticism of Mikel agu's call up ... And you fell for it.... Lol |
Super Eagles Player Ratings Vs Poland : Victor Moses, Uzoho, Balogun, Ekong The Standouts Published: March 23, 2018 A penalty goal from Victor Moses was just enough for the Super Eagles to see off Poland in their friendly encounter at the Stadion Mjejski in Wraclow on Friday evening. But how did every one of the Eagles fare? Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho: Made a hoax of a cross which nearly allowed Krychowiak to prod over the line but for Balogun's clearance. Looked tensive in stretches though his point blank save to deny Lewandowski was phenomenal. 8/10 Defenders Shehu Abdullahi: Pushed up from right and looked to instigate attack. Came off for Tyronne Ebuehi after some discomfort. 7/10 William Troost-Ekong: Marshalled the backline with his sturdy challenges and always put his body on the line. 8/10 Leon Balogun: Failed to track down Robert Lewandowski who struck the woodwork in the opening stages before making a crucial goal line clearance. A satisfactory performance though. 8/10 Brian Idowu: Did his fair share of defensive contribution but offered very little going forward. 7/10 Midfielders Wilfred Ndidi: Was full of life in the midfield battle though passing was erratic. 7/10 Joel Obi: Added a physical edge to his game and always looked to connect with the attackers. 7/10 Alex Iwobi: Showed flashes of brilliance and tricky footwork down the left flank but final balls came to nothing. Came off in the second half for Ahmed Musa. 7/10 Victor Moses: Went on a few mazy runs but failed to break down a resilient Polish defence. Picked himself to convert from the spot after he was felled in the area. 8/10 Attackers Kelechi Iheanacho: Was largely kept quiet and drifted backward to pick up stray balls. Was replaced by John Ogu in the closing stages. 6/10 Odion Ighalo: Always looked to get in behind Kalil Glik and Kaminski and held up the ball on occasions. 7/10 Substitutes Ahmed Musa: Went on his trademark runs during his short time on the pitch though nothing spectacular was carved out. 5/10 Ogenyi Onazi: Helped shore up middle after coming on with keeping passing simple. 5/10 Kenneth Omeruo: Brought on to help curtail the Poland attack. 5/10 Tyronne Ebuehi: Helped the defence to hold onto their slender advantage though had very little to do. John Ogu: Merely added fresh legs after coming on. Moses Simon: Spent very little time on the pitch to be scrutinized. CAF: Nigeria's Akwa United sends Libya's Al-Ittihad home with referee's help March 18, 2018 - 22:00 Posted in: Written by: AbdulkaderAssad Libya's Al-Ittihad lost 2-3 on penalties against Nigeria's Akwa United as part of the round of 32 of CAf Confederation Cup. The two teams finished the 90 minutes 1-0 for Akwa United. Libya's Al-Ittihad won the first leg match 1-0 in Sfax, Tunisia. Of a devastating impact were the referee's decisions toward Al-Ittihad players. Libyans scored at the beginning of the match but the referee canceled it on offside grounds, then he sent Al-Ittihad's coach out with a red card for his meddling in the game's decisions taken on the pitch. The host, Akwa United, played well in the second half and scored a goal, then Al-Ittihad's Mohammed Al-Tabbal tied the score but the referee rushed to cancel the goal on - again - offside grounds, putting Al-Ittihad's players on fire. He afterwards sent Al-Tabbal off with a red card for his argument for his canceled goal. Penalties gave the host the three pints of the match and qualified them for the next round, while Al-Ittiahd - burdened by the referee's wrong calls - backed bags and flew back home. realpoacher:awww..... My guy dr vex.... Nr vex oga..... I was only trying to tell you that Chelsea plays the double 4 too... Kante and bakayoko.... Same thing.... Oya come we hug.... Nor be quarrel..why you de vex like that... I am not owing debt am I... Calm down and don't go ranting on me... .. I like ndidi too... Tough love Modified : for your information I watched Nigeria 99, live....watched okocha and kanu live at the Warri city stadium... Memory is sketchy... So oga... Mind your utterances.... |
realpoacher:mogbe..... I am not berating ndidi ooooo... Plz. . Sorry if it comes across to you that way.... The Argentina game was only a friendly.... And your last paragraph is really funny to me... Kikikikkikikiki.... This definition you create just to suit your narrative.... Double 4.. So Kante de play for triple 6..... You just use rope tie yourself by mentioning busquets.... Who offers so much going forward in terms of passing, dribbling etc..... Busquets wey sabi dribble pass Mikel... Naim you de mention... Maybe I should restate my position on this ndidi matter..... He is excellent to me but just at one attribute which is Tackling.... If and when he improves other aspects of his game he will be a worldy...... Top clubs will queue for his signature.... For now he is just outside the bracket..... Come to think of it I am beginning to sound and criticise my own player like mourinho.... Hmm.... Blik I go slow down small.... Mek men nor vex for me for this place...
|
lexyman:yes klopp with his ghen ghen pressing or pep at city with his tika tika.... Ndidi needs a coach who will greatly improve him... Who else but those two.... He's next move is gonna be really critical in his development as a player.... One to watch out for.... Boss tbaba1234 what do you think.. One is allowed to dream Àbí.. |
tbaba1234: [quote author=tbaba1234 post=65953234]Lolz.... Baba ooooo oo.... This discuss wan enter another level now o. .... I see what you did there..... Oya na mek ndidi use he own win something fes na.... Besides Kante has always had assists and goals in his locker...as evident in his title, mvp winning season for Leicester as well as for Chelsea..... For me it is not just the assist alone..... Didn't you see how Kante was ghosting past players, breaking the lines if you know what that means tactically..... He was everywhere..... He made things happen.... That is what we want from ndidi..... Do something, not tackle, pass then wait for next wave of attack against your team..... If he stays one more season he should move to a more attacking team abeg..... |
tbaba1234:tackles don't win you championships, goals and assists do. Top players, win you championships, top players give goals and assists..... Sad but true.. |
