Unfortunately you have to love maths to be good at programming.

It is not that you deal with maths directly most times but programming and maths have a lot in common.

So if you are not good in maths you'll definitely struggle with learning programming.

You should start with wordpress
It shouldn't take long to learn. Just look for someone to put you through on how to install WordPress plus the themes/plugins. That's all. You can start helping your friends and neighbors.


Then later if you really want to go deeper you'll have to learn d basics i.e HTML/CSS, JavaScript, PHP etc.

I am building an android app for a client and he will need to make a post using the app.

There are two ways to add functionalities to a WordPress site

You can use the themes functions.php file or you can use a plugin.

But you need to understand how WordPress works before you can modify it using theme/plugin.

in general wordpress makes use of hooks

You can check the theme or plugin folder and edit the php file you want to modify

the best is for you to use WordPress and buy readymade premium themes.

But I thought WordPress has already embedded themes and plugins that developers can utilize while building websites and if not , how can i compact php codes to WordPress settings .

Of course there thousands of themes you can choose from (both free & paid) for blogs, ecommerce, companies etc.

But if you need a special(bespoke) design you have to do it yourself. This usually happens when a client sends you a link and wants you to create something similar for him.
Building themes is very easy if you've learnt CSS, HTML, JavaScript & PHP.

Also for plugins you'll find so many plugins for usual cases. As all websites have unique requirements you'll definitely need to build your own plugins to meet your specific requirements.

Also many plugins are an overkill which might make your website slow, so if you can just add the functions you need without the unnecessary load.

Java is still a very good language.
But it is more difficult to learn than php, Python, JavaScript.

Before you select the language you want to learn, you must first decide whether you want to go for software development, website development, mobile apps etc.

Unfortunately to use these Content Management Systems effectively you still have to master the programming language used.


For example if you use WordPress, you will still need to build custom themes/plugins for your clients.

I am administering a property website
I have log in to the back end where I can upload new properties details and pictures
the website is not a WordPress website.
it has mostly php files at the back end.
the issue is that anytime i tried to upload new a property, it shows other text details but would not show picture, instead it will show a sign that there a picture should be there
secondly, if I choose an existing picture in the image folder at the backend it displays well.
noticing this, I now uploaded my the pictures i want to use to the image folder, still it will not displays
I need help. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
