Honestly I don't get the policy but it's well
I have been a silent follower of the thread and was surprised when that fellow was attacked for calling out the German embassy. The docile mentality of many Nigerians is why our own Government and several other countries have taken us for granted. The truth is that the German embassy needs to put its house in order regarding student visa applications and someone needs to tell them that. They know Winter semester comes with a high number of visa applications and should be prepared for that. It is not a case of anyone doing anybody a favour. That same mentality is why political office holders think think they're doing us a favour by providing basic amenities which are basic rights.
Someone said apply early. Is the individual responsible for delay in admission decision by schools?

FamilyRe: Who Will You Take Sides With, Me Or My Wife? by everhopeful: 3:16pm On Dec 16, 2016
@op: Your wife seems to me like good woman. I believe that during your traditional wedding, your wife was told that your mother is now her mother and your family is now her family, and it seems your wife wholeheartedly took those words literally, believed this and acted accordingly since you said she has a good relationship with your mother.

Your action just told her the reality and don't be surprised when she actually starts treating your family as different from hers because that was the message you guys clearly passed across: that your mother is not her mother and can never be.

Your home is yet young, so please do not destroy it with carelessness. Your primary interrst shouldn't be about rights or wrong but about the fact that your wife felt hurt by the exclusion, which may have been reduced if she wasn't the only spouse in law as this may otherwiise have reduced the impact of the exclusion.

If really your priority is in making your home work and not on people taking sides, I would advise that you apologise to your wife and let her know you consider her a part of your family. Tell her you naively thought it was just a picture and didn't think she would be hurt.

May God bless and keep your home.
NYSCCorper Ifedolapo's Death: What Did The Doctors Do Wrong? by everhopeful(op):
I am no Doctor. I am just someone who hates to see people castigated for no cogent reasons and I like it when the blamie is put right where it should be, as that is the only way to truly move forward.

Now, I see a lot of people blaming the Doctors for Corper Ifedolapo's death and I ask: what exactly did they do wrong?

From all accounts, including the deceased corper's relative, Ifedolapo died as a result of anaphylaxis.

Now, let us learn a bit. Anarhykaxis is a potentially deadly allergic reaction which could be caused by dveese conditions inclusive of certain food substances or medication.

Such medication include Non Steeoidal Antiinflamatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as DICLOFENAC AND IBUPROFEN WHICH WE COMMONLY USE AS PAINKILLERS.

NOTE: No overdose is needed before someone with the allergy comes down with the reaction.

When anaphylaxis occurs, there is need for an immediate dose of epinephrine and a visit to the A&E.

Ifedolapo went to the clinic with complaints of body pains and uneasiness which is most likely the most common complaints in NYSC clinics due to the rigorous excercise corpers.go through and the stress of being in camp.

Ifedolapo was administered IM diclofenac which is an appropriate treatment for Ifedolapo's initial complaints of muscular pains since there were no tablets.

Ifedolapo reacted to the routine NSAID and went back to the clinic with complaints pointing towards anaphylaxis.

However, THE CAMP CLINIC DID NOT HAVE EPINEPHRINE WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN THE APPROPRIATE TREATMENT. The Doctors then REFERED her which was the next appropriate step to take.

So I ask: What did the doctors do wrong?

They provided treatment as appropriate and referred. It is not their place to provide drugs to.clinics neither are they the ones to provide transportation. They did what they ought to do.

I have seen several cases like this where the Doctors get the blame for a failed system therefore I understand why several of my doctor friends are either depressed or eager to get out of this country.

I know emotions are high right now as I also lost my sister 3 years ago. But please let us learn to appreciate those who more often than not try their best for us even.in adverse circustances.

RIP Ifedolapo. May God give solace ro your family as he has for me and mine.
