Although I have a sworn affidavit on correction of date of birth error on my international passport. Do I just add it to the application without explaining it? Please, I need your advice. Thank you

Yes u will need to explain that. Their is a space for u to include any former info on ur passport tht is not in ur current passport. Also include d former passport number wen filling d application form. Not including these infos might jeorpardize ur chances of getting ur visa approved.

I got my passport today. After waiting endlessly. I did biometrics on 5th april and didnt get any email since then until yesterday tls sent me 2 emails concurrently. D first says decision has bn taken and second mail says passport ready for collection. I got my passport today and visa vignette dated 28th april. So meaning there could hv been mis communication btw d ukvi sheffield and tls. Altho I asked for d status of my application when I didnt get any email and it was escalated. I ws scared cos my travel date has passed after waiting for so long. But today its all good. it took 45 working days to gt my passport back. My advise, if ur visit visa application takes more than 15days, send emails to ukvi customer service and follow up until its been escalated. Im off to Uk. grin

Hello house, today makes it 17 working days since I applied for a business visit visa and I'm yet to get a decision mail. The last mail I got was on 17th may saying "application was received at Sheffield and the ECO is prepreparing for consideration". I'm supposed to travel by 21st June. I have sent a mail but no reply. Can someone please tell me what could be wrong? Thanks!

I am also in same situation. Did biometrics April 5th. I sent an email to ukvi and they replied that a decision has been made. They also sent me an email to provide some details for escalation for passport return. Since then, no updates on the escalation. U can send an email to ukvi international enquiries and ask for status of your Visa application.

Guys please I need your advise on this. It is exactly 2months i applied for 6months uk visit visa and Im yet to get email frm ukvi or tls contact. I made an enquiry on the status on the 5/5/2017 and ws told my application has been processed and decison made.And that i should hv gotten an email from the visa application center. i went to tls and ws told they are yet to receive my passport. I did an email to ukvi again and they escalated my case but uptil now they kept telling me they are yet to get any update. Oga Justwise and Gurus in the house pls advise me on what next to do as I hv ran out of idea.

I visited TLC and they said they are yet to receive my documents. Which kind thing b dis. @ justwise pls advise. Its 35 working days since i summited my passport for tourist visa. A reply i got after enquiry says decision has been taken since April 2017 and that I supposed to have gotten email on that. I summitted my docs on 5th april 2017. I havent heard anything since then.

If a decision has been reach. Go to the TLC and pick up your passport. Waiting to receive an email can take a while.

@justwise @ekpotek hello I need clarifications If you can. My sister applied for UK visa since on the 10th April. She hasn't gotten any mail since the file was supposedly transferred to Sheffield. After 15days she sent a mail and was told the decision has been made and will get her docs soon that's over 2weeks now

Its over 7weeks now, has anyone you know experienced such and what could be the reason . At this point she's already expecting a denial but to hold off on the passport for this long is worrisome.

Any ideas thank you

Please I need ur advise. I applied for visit visa and did biometrics on 5th april. Got a mail on d 6th april that it hs been received for processing. I never got any mail again until 5th May when i sent an enquiry to on the status of my application and was told tht a decision hs been taken for long. my concern now is the delay in returning my passport as I have mailed them but no reply. Any advise pls.
