Warri Wolves vs Kwara United
|
Warri Wolves will be playing Kwara United On Sunday at the Warri city stadium, Warri Wolves who are second on the log, will be hoping for a win to close the gap between the league leader Enyimba, who are leading with four points. Warri Wolves are hopeful their top striker, Gbolahan Salami, will be fit for Sunday’s Glo Premier League match day 29 home fixture against Kwara United, completesportsnigeria.com can report. The forward sustained a groin injury in the Seasiders’ week 27 clash against his former side, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, and as a result missed last weekend’s away draw against Nasarawa United. Media Officer of the side, Moses Etu, however informed completesportsnigeria.com that the erstwhile Sunshine Stars player is working hard to ensure he is ready to face the Harmony Boys. “We are hoping Salami will be fit enough to play against Kwara United on Sunday,” Etu told completesportsnigeria.com. “He is an important player for us and we hope he will be available not only for this game, but for the rest of the season.” Despite his persistent battle with injuries this season, Salami has scored 10 goals for the Seasiders this term. He also scored four times in their ill-fated CAF Confederation Cup campaign. Wolves are second on the log, four points behind leaders Enyimba.
