patriotic007: Its comments like yours that makes me hate APC more,.....You cant win National elections with propaganda,......A man resurrected a dead man and you come out to tell us that the man has failed because the dead man was only able to walk slowly instead of running at once?,....NIGERIANS ARE WISER NOWA man had cancer and died,u ressurected him and he still has cancer. What's the point?? And must every criticism of this administration be tied to APC? |
deletrue: It's only devilish people that will always discourage every good things that will benefit Nigerians. What is good about riding in a train for 43 hours? |
jamace: Humanbeings sef. When you do nothing, they complain that you are not doing anything. When you do something, they complain that you did not do it well. What is worth doing at all is worth doing well |

tonytony208: dont try to derail the discuss here sir. The point the Op is making is that Amechi was economical with the truth when he said there is no FG project in rivers state. If the aforelisted projects are real, it simply means amechi is lying. Also, it is not only awarded projects that are on the list; there are also several completed projects. How many of these projects have been completed?? Just imagine School fencing, construction of classroom blocks, borehole sinking, street lighting and Vip toilets as Federal Government projects .. Aren't they just Laughable? |
Have u paid ur waste bill?? ![]() |
The OP has to be a comedian First of all, this is a list of contracts awarded and not completed projects If u had posted a list of ongoing or completed projects (and maybe backed them up with pictures) then this thread would have made more sense but as it is, it is doin GEJ more harm than good P.S the NDDC is the biggest fraud after the NNPC. |
jassie: Ogbeni kaju n bar!Lagos state has one of the best poverty alleviation programmes in the Country, if not the best sef.. |
Articul8: Point of correction sir,he dint ban Okada riders completely,he only banned dem frm major express roads. U shld knw dt govt.comes out with different policies @ diff. Times depending on d circumstances @ dt time.D okada riders were given helmets to protect dem and also banned frm xpress still to protect and save dia lives. So,which of dt is bad?Exactly!! The problem with us is that most people are quick to judge based on their emotions rather than being realistic and pragmatic I watched a program on TV that had the comissioner of Transport as a guest and he gave some statistics concerning okada accidents and deaths on lagos roads Do u knw dat since the enforcement of the Okada restrictions on major highways, okada deaths has reduced to below ten monthly, infact the month of july no death was recorded. Whereas before the law, it used to be 70 and above. Now tell me how this is not a good law?? |
odua boy: why so many cancelled votes from ngige stronghold in idemili? My thots exactly... How can u cancel Over 89000 votes from one local govt (Ngige's stronghold), the election is a HUGE JOKE. |
Due to the poor revenue profile of Benue State Government last month, the state embarked on face saving measures by borrowing monies from several sources to pay its workers including striking primary school teachers who have down tools for over a month protesting the non implementation of minimum wage. This much was disclosed by Governor Gabriel Suswam who spoke yesterday at his 49th birthday anniversary lecture held in his honour in Makurdi the Benue State capital. According to Suswam, the state government spends over N3billion monthly on the payment of local government staff and teachers but said despite the concerted affords to ensure that every teacher in the state doesn’t earn less than 18,000 as salary, “we are still faced with agitations by the teachers”. “It is just sad that people fail to understand that the N18,000minimum wage as prescribed by the federal government is only a threshold upon which we must build on. But all we have done is to ensure that no government employee earns less than the minimum wage and in doing that, we over stretched our self retorting to us borrowing to pay staff. “As at today, we expend a little over N3billion monthly, on the payment of local government staff and teachers’ salaries with little left for anyone to embark on any meaningful development project at that level of governance. “I only want to appeal to the striking teachers to return to the classrooms in the interest of our children; because we cannot afford to have our children out of the universities and the primary schools at the same time. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/suswam-we-borrow-to-pay-teachers/164538/ |
I believe any citizen, group, civil society organisation or political party has a right to either support or oppose the national conference APC chose not to support the conference and they gave their reasons. That is their opinion and I think it should be respected likewise those that are in support of the conference. I don't see why Yinka Odumakin or anyone at all should be bothered about APCs stand on the national conference |

THE Federal Government has withdrawn the sum of $1bn (N160bn) from the Excess Crude Account. President Goodluck Jonathan gave the withdrawal approval to augment the shortfall in revenue to the federation account. The Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Yerima Ngama, while briefing journalists on Thursday in Abuja on the outcome of this month’s Federation Account Allocation Committee meeting, confirmed the drop in revenue. He said the N443.052bn received in the month of October fell short of the budgetary amount of N465.057bn. The shortfall, it was learnt, led to the withdrawal of the $1bn from the ECA, thus bringing the new balance in the account to $3.59bn. The amount in the account as of the beginning of this year was about $10bn. The country had experienced persistent decline in oil revenue owing to oil theft and pipeline vandalism. The government had said if crude oil theft continued, revenue loss could rise to $12bn. Ngama said, “In the month of October 2013, the total mineral revenue that accrued to the federation account was N443.052bn. “This is a little short of N465.057bn that is in the budget for the month of October 2013; hence, we have a negative variance of N22.005bn.” However, Ngama, who is also the chairman of FAAC, said the revenue collected in October exceeded the amount collected in the previous month by N11.979bn. For the non-oil mineral revenue, a total of N96.501bn was collected, which was also N62.21bn lower than the budgeted N158.711bn. He said, “We have the total actual revenue collection of N539.553bn which is less than the N623.768bn that is in the budget by N84.215bn. “The total funds available for distribution have been adjusted with transfers to excess crude. “And this month, we transferred N80.651bn to excess crude, thus leaving N458.901bn after the cost of collection to Federal Inland Revenue Service of N2.097bn and the cost of collection to Nigeria Customs Service of N3.085bn. “There is also a refund to NCS of N0.713bn. So, after these deductions, we had N453.006bn left for distribution to the three tiers of government, which was done as follows: Federal Government, N213.825bn ; all the states put together are going to share N108.455bn; then the local governments are going to share N83.614bn.” The oil-producing states, he added, would get their 13 per cent derivation, amounting to N47.112bn. The Chairman, States Finance Commissioners’ Forum, Mr. Timothy Odah of Ebonyi State, expressed appreciation to the President for the intervention. He said, “We are grateful to Mr. President for his magnanimity in the approval of this $1bn. This is not revenue augmentation because we have stopped that since August of this year. What the President just did is to boost our take-home revenue following the dismal financial performance by the NNPC. “This intervention will greatly boost our revenue bases and enable us to meet some of our obligations.” |

jmaine: The lies the opposition had to live with so as to cushion the battering they received from GEJ.The only reason GEJ had overwhelming votes in the SW was because Tinubu did not interfere with the elections cos he knew his candidate wasn't going to win |
utumunta: You sabi book jare! Come over to the men's corner and take good palm wine.70% of PDP members in lagos are moles (Tinubu loyalists).. |
kaeto: some of you are disappointingly childish and naive, i just fuc.king cannot help but wonder at the depth of your dumbness. Is it that you truely do not understand the electoral permutations in this country or you are playing the normal ethnic hate card. APC takes the governor in kano state, GEJ n PDP takes all the hausa christians there, the igbos, the poor village farmers affiliated to the fg agric. program and all the haters and grudge bearers against boko haramic blood shed. This will as usual amount to about 40% votes in kano, not to talk of the christian soldiers that will be posted to the north for some coded jobs which we are already working out.Buhahahhaahaha Joke of the week!! |
Johnsinia: do u want to bet it?Stop lying.. He wasn't booed at ladipo market |
taharqa: You KIDS shld stay off d internet more often, abeg... Take dis to d Bank: GEJ will Win Rivers, with a landslide even (whether there are 1000 Ameachis); GEJ would very like Win Lagos, cos of many factors including 'migration' (although with a far lesser % than say Rivers); GEJ would Lose Kano anyday, anytime (even if he likes let him share #1m each to everybody in that state). This whole current Political shenanigans and maneuvarings changes little...Bro I think u are the one who should stay off the internet and go listen to word on the streets.. A lot has changed btw 2011 and nw, GEJ will NEVER as in NEVER win a with a landslide in rivers state if Amaechi leaves PDP , d votes will be split He will also lose Lagos (Forget all dat migration talk) |
