Firstly Nonny400 post is confusing, he asks for the generation of the Laptop while telling her how to check for the generation of the CPU which she obliges.

BTW, generation of the CPU is what almost everyone uses in nairaland.

Her answer is correct and accurate, its a 6th gen core 5.

Also you pointing out that the laptop is a model 1, is also correct, as the first Thinkpad convertible X1 Yoga was made in 2016.... which by her CPU, is almost certainly the model of her laptop.

Now the model 6 of this laptop only came out this year and only a month or 2 ago, with an 11th gen CPU, so there is no realistic way she would be selling a model 6 unless she was crazy (retails like $2k methinks).

So in short, you are all right but madam is more correct than all of you (seeing as she followed your instructions) and did not try any mago mago.

It's confirmed. What you have is the 1st gen of the Laptop. To confirm, compare the pictures of the 6th gen with the 1st. The fingerprint scanner of the 1st is located below the up-down-left-right keys, while the 6th gen has its fingerprint scanner located below the PrtSc key.

To some extent the guy is right. There’s a term used in surveying called “pace”. This is used in most cases where there’s no measuring tape at the particular spot and you need to have idea about the length/breath of a particular spot. It’s usually +1 or -1 meter difference when you measured with Tape. So to an extent he’s right
