BIOGRAPHY OF SAINT TIMOTHY ANUMS
1905-2011

Saint Timothy was born into the family of Anums and his mother Ruth, a century ago in Umuiyi, Akabo, Ikeduru, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. He was formerly a member of C.M.S. Church in Akabo and was baptized in 1935 at C.M.S Anglican Communion Church Abonnema, Rivers State. He was a devoted Christian before he went to Abonnema and among the pioneer choirs of St Andrew Church Akabo. He married his beloved wife late Mrs Rev Nice of the Jack's compound in Abonnema. They were married for sixty years and were blessed with five children.

He travelled widely to many parts of Nigeria and finally settled in Ile-Ife where he found his calling in 1984 as Minister of the Gospel. He was introduced to the Holy Church of Christ, Ile-Ife by his beloved wife late Rev Nice Anums. He was ordained as an Apostle at the Ile-Ife church and as a Bishop at The Holy Church of Christ, Umuiyi, Akabo, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.

While in Ile-Ife, he became well known by important personalities because of his prophetic and healing powers, in Jesus name. With this connection with prominent people, he recruited many young boys and men from Akabo and Mbieri, and helped them to secure various jobs at Public Works Department, PWD in Ile-Ife.

Over the years, he had a strong urge by the Holy Spirit to move back home finally to evangelize. By the guidance of the Holy Spirit he established The Holy Church of Christ Akabo in Awuzie compound with many branches in Imo State.

He was a man of integrity who loved God and people and was highly respected by the Community. On May 31st, 2003, Umuiyi Community awarded him a Life Time Award in the Name of Jesus in Appreciation of Exceptional Services of Giving Hope, Opportunity, Spiritual Healing and Deliverance to many people. On April 13th, 2009, the Community again awarded him a Thank You Certificate of Honor in Appreciation of Exceptional Services to Umuiyi, Akabo.

In November 2018, The Holy Church of Christ Akabo and Umuiyi Community celebrated him as Saint Timothy Anums.
