The taker has to be very poor for a goalie to have a chance. The Villarreal keeper didn’t save any too apart from De Gea’s kick.

De Gea should never have been put in that position - he’s a goalkeeper, not a penalty taker. If Ole had done the needful, he would have brought on VDB, Mata, Amad at the 60th minute to try and win the game.
