elampiro: Manchester United: David de Gea's 5 Biggest Mistakes
DECEMBER 31, 2011 Steve Kean's Blackburn Rovers defeated Manchester United 3-2. Kean's new best friend is David de Gea, who in the 83rd minute missed a routine grab which led to an opportunistic goal from Grant Hanley.
DDG cost us the league in 2011/2012, shaky all through the season. Fergie benched him for Anders Lindegaard
eph12: His best contributions so far has been 'avoiding the ball'. he is more than that but that is what he is currently being praised for. How is this different from what others are saying including you? I am only saying he will need to have more contributions with the ball to get a starting position on the team.
patrickmuf: How does it imply that he must be number 1? I went further to say if Henderson outperforms him, he should continue in goal. Nobody should get anything on the platter, you play well, you get to start...
It is easier to keep Lewandowski, Suarez and Benzema in the same club than to keep Manuel Neur and Oblak.
Gk position is different bro, rotation can't work.
Cech lost his place to Cortiois, and Casilas list his place to Lopez, these are absolute tier 1 legends. So why will that of DDG be different. Not as if he is playing for free all those while
You can't keep 2 good GKs capable of playing as No 1 at a club, one has to leave.
The first thing they would consider is age, the youngest will likely stay:
Cortious and Cech Szczęsny and Buffon (left for PSG) Lopez and Casillas Ter Stergen and Bravo etc
CapitalCee: People like us has been saying DDG needs competition even before Henderson performed admirably last season in Sheffield United. Its not Henderson's fault he is English, so because he is English he shouldn't be made number 1? So why is DDG being bench by Zpanish NT coaches or are Kepa and Unai Simon English too?
afrodoc: patrickmuf dey sometimes react emotionally. Na why he almost fight with people because of Martial issue until Martial fall him hand patapata.
2 wrongs do not make a right. Even if it is true that the press would have erroneously blamed DDG for that goal that does not mean we should now gang up against our own keeper (Henderson).
Even a hybrid of Kahn and Buffon will concede from crosses from time to time. Replacing DDG does not reduce our risk of conceding from crosses to zero.
Lols, Patrick na die hard fan
Degea gave his best, we also stood by him(3 seasons oo) despite his errors.......it is time to move on. Simple
CapitalCee: I mean all of us like DDG he has a place in united history, but the reaction from his fans is now getting anno annoying. How can you blame Henderson for a goal that he conceded after keeping out a point blank header? I dont really understand this unnecessary fuse about DDG, that has suddenly turned to hate against Henderson just because he is English. If Cassilas and Cech can be benched who is DDG that he cant be benched?
Henderson and this current DDG are on par.....(i will stil pick Hendo sha)
DDG is 30 and taking home 375k Hendo is 24 and on 120k
We have the option of keeping one and selling the other, the right choice is to sell DDG, so I don't understand the noise.
patrickmuf: DDG has paid his dues, if his time here is done, he should be moved on honorably and not be hounded out by the press just because he is keeping and English lad on the bench...
Stop spreading false information.
In the last press conference, OLE told us he has two no 1s at the club.
The same OLE gave DDG 6 weeks leave, OLE wants him to leave don't push this on media.
patrickmuf: Expert17 you would've expected De Gea to come out for the ball before it got to Welbeck. I understand it's AWB who was caught napping but if it was DDG, you wouldn't cut him any slack.
It is not every time a GK will come out abeg..... Henderson will come out 8 out of 10 DDG won't come out at all.
And you can't blame Hendo, Lindelof and AWB fvcked up.
patrickmuf: English press will get their way as it concerns Henderson and De Gea but then, Henderson will be exposed to so much scrutiny that he'll likely bulge...
I am dead certain if it was De Gea in goal for that Brighton opener, we'd be treated to complains that he doesn't command his box well. Henderson is young, his time will come even as he has 0payed a fair share of games this season...
@ bolded, he saved a free header at a point-blank range,....... AWB and co should have done better.
We can't keep both at the club, one has to leave - and it should be DDG.
Bruno on Rashford's goal: "Good goal. I didn't see it because someone almost broke my ankle but anyway, goal. I'm happy for the team, I'm happy for Marcus.
patrickmuf: The others dey wear mask...One day, then go criticize Ole especially when Ole out guys plenty online but when OleIn guys plenty, them go enter default mode...
Illimitable: And what did you gain from those victories? Nothing.
PSG went on to win their domestic league and has played in Champions League final since then. United beat them twice, PSG also beat United twice at OT - you put yourself in the mud.
What have United achieved since then? Nothing
You are the type of guy that get ejaculatïons because a babe allowed you to hold her hands. You won a round of 16 game, PSG have made it to the final since that episode while you are still figuring a way to overcome bottom teams like Wolves & Leicester to get into a final.
Illimitable: Had PE teacher gotten 3 points at Old Trafford, the game at Leipzig would have been a dead rubber game. In CL group stage, it’s expected to win all your home games, get at least a draw away and qualify with ease.
PE teacher flunked with the brilliant start he had. How do I explain to anyone that has never watched CL before that the team that was topping this group with 2 games to go failed to qualify?
