Some civil servants salary, including promotion and annual increments. ₦200, 000 × 12Months = ₦2, 400, 000per annum ₦2, 400, 000 × 35years = ₦84, 000, 000 ₦84m, if a civil servant decides to save his entire income for 35yrs without spending a dime. State civil servants will earn far far less than this. Some politicians will earn more than ₦84m in a year while serving just 4years in an office. |
Came across this on facebook. When our old parents have laboured so hard to serve their fatherland, the government for 35years. But they have to queue for days, weeks, months to get paid. Some have even died trying to get their pay.

Shaw007:Smaller preys, larger prey does. A Python swallowed a croc alive years back, it trends on Natgeo wild. The croc used his claws to burst the belly, came out but died |
shortgun:That's the Python's doing, preys cannot struggle out on their own when swallowing them because of the teeth. To vomit them, Pythons knows what to do.

Before releasing it back into the wild, rescuers were shocked to see the python slowly regurgitating what turned out to be a large Asia water monitor, or varanus salvator.

A 14-foot snake found behind a woman's house in Thailand is seen regurgitating a huge lizard it swallowed moments before being recovered by rescuers. The snake is believed to be a Burmese python, and was found by home owner Uraiwan Seksuk, 44, in Mueang Samut Songkhram, Central Thailand. Ms Seksuk was busy hanging laundry when she noticed the snake slithering underneath a broken motor in her backyard. She immediately called rescuers to help catch the reptile, which weighs approximately 44 pounds. Video shows officers Sawang Benchait and Samut Songkhram taking a hammer to the concrete in the woman's backyard, breaking away piece by piece to reveal the large snake hiding underneath. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5103493/14-foot-python-regurgitates-lizard-horrifying-footage.html Lalasticlala

Explorers:Crew of missing Argentine submarine 'have just 2 days to live. Hopes of finding the missing Argentinian submarine were dashed on Monday night as the navy said unusual noises picked up on sonar did not come from the vessel. Search teams had been combing a 35 square nautical mile stretch of water 330 miles off the coast for the ARA San Juan after noises, thought to be thecrew tapping on the hull of the vessel, were picked up by two search boats. But the search is back on again after the sounds turned out to be bogus the second time in 24 hours that rescue efforts had been scuppered. President Mauricio Macri met with vice admiral Miguel Angel Mascolo (right) rear admiral Gabriel Gonalez (center) as search efforts continued on Monday night

Argentina's navy says its ARA San Juan submarine, which has been missing since Wednesday, reported a mechanical breakdown in its last communication. The navy also announced on Monday that seven signals picked up at the weekend were not from the missing submarine's satellite phone. The failed calls, lasting between four and 36 seconds, had been received on Saturday. The Royal Navy has deployed ice patrol ship HSM Protector to help search for a missing Argentinian submarine with 44 crew members on board. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5100625/Missing-Argentina-sub-reported-breakdown-final-call.html http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-42055676 Lalasticlala, Mynd44

Satellite signals have been detected that are likely from a missing Argentine submarine, raising hopes that the 44 crew members are still alive. Seven failed 'satellite calls' believed to be from the missing ARA San Juan submarine were detected Saturday morning and afternoon in a likely sign the crew was trying to reestablish contact. Before vanishing on Wednesday, the vessel was on a routine trip from a Naval base in Ushia, on the southern tip of South America, to its home base of Mar del Plata. The mystery signals lasted between four and 36 seconds and were transmitted between 10.52am and 3.42pm, the Argentine defense ministry said in a statement. Argentina is working on tracing the location of the signals with an unnamed US company specializing in satellite communications, the ministry said. The Argentine military submarine ARA San Juan and crew are seen leaving the port of Buenos Aires in a file photo. Why can't subs be detected? Submarines are built to be difficult to find. Their role is often to participatein secret surveillance operations. Dr Robert Farley, a lecturer at the University of Kentucky who has written on the subject, says that a sub is very hard to trace if resting on the seabed because under such circumstances it will not be making any" noise". "Noise, which would otherwise be picked up by what is known as passive sonar, is distorted and [the sub] looks to active sonar pings like the sea bottom," he says. So how can subs be found? There are a number of ways that the captain or crew can make their location known if in distress. These methods include sending signal calls to contacts at naval bases or allied ships, or releasing a device that floats to the surface but remains attached to the submarine. How long can a crew survive submerged? The number of days that a crew can survive depends on how long they have already been performing duties underwater and how well prepared they are for losing power. "If batteries were charged and air refreshed," Dr Farley says, "then outlook is hopeful". In relation to the Argentine sub he adds: "Outer range appears to be ten days if they were well prepared." What could have gone wrong? This remains unclear in the case of the missing ARA San Juan. But, says Dr Farley, it is possible that an electrical malfunction may have occurred following reports of a fault affecting the sub's batteries. Such a mechanical breakdown could shut down both the engines, the communication systems and send the Sub down to the seabed, he says. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-42057864

Eliana Krawczyk, 35, is the weapons officer on the ARA San Juan which last made contact with its base on Wednesday, she is Argentina's first female submariner. A multi-national rescue operation has been launched to find Ms Krawczyk and her crew mates, including an aircraft from NASA. Argentina's president Mauricio Macri said: 'We will do what is necessary to find the submarine as soon as possible.'

BUENOS AIRES, Nov 17 (Reuters) An Argentine military submarine with 44 crew members on board was missing at sea on Friday, prompting a massive search to locate the vessel which may have suffered a communication error, a navy spokesman said. The vessel was in the southern Argentine Sea when it gave its last location few days ago. "We are investigating the reasons for the lack of communication," Argentine naval spokesman Enrique Balbi told reporters. "If there was a communication problem, the boat would have to come to the surface." Balbi said the submarine, which left the southern city of Ushuaia for Mar del Plata, both in Argentina, has food supply for several days and is likely to continue its journey despite communication problems. The ARA San Juan (pictured) last contacted the Argentine navy on Wednesday while 250 miles off the coast of Patagonia and has not been heard from since. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-42030560?ocid=socialflow_twitter http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-5092919/Argentine-submarine-goes-missing-44-crew-members-board-navy.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5095397/US-Navy-joins-search-missing-Argentine-sub.html Lalasticlala, Mynd44

The incident, which occurred in Japan's Sagami Bay, marks the fifth time the U.S. Navy's 7th Fleet in the Pacific has been involved in a crash. Seventeen sailors have been killed this year in two collisions with commercial vessels involving guided-missile destroyers, the Fitzgerald in June off Japan and then the John S. McCain in August as it approached a port in Singapore. On Jan. 31, the USS Antietam ran aground off the coast of Japan, damaging its propellers and spilling oil into the water. The Navy Times reported that the guided-missile destroyer grounded spilled an estimated 1,100 gallons of oil into Tokyo Bay. No one was injured in the incident. The USS Lake Champlain crashed into South Korean fishing boat on May 9 during a routine training exercise. The ship, also a guided-missile cruiser, crashed into the 9.8-ton fishing boatwhile in the Sea of Japan. No one was reported injured in the incident.

A U.S. guided-missile destroyer, USS Benfold, sustained minor damage when a Japanese tug drifted into it during a towing exercise off central Japan on Saturday. 'No one was injured on either vessel and Benfold sustained minimal damage, including scrapes on its side, pending a full damage assessment,' a statement from the U.S. Seventh Fleet said.' Benfold remains at sea under her own power. The Japanese commercial tug is being towed by another vessel to a port in Yokosuka. The incident will be investigated,' it said. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5095567/U-S-destroyer-slightly-damaged-collision-tug-Japan-U-S-Navy.html
