Giant oarfish described as 'messengers of the sea' have been washing ashore in the Philippines in recent days, triggering fears an earthquake is about to hit. A number of bizarre-looking creatures, which usually live at depths of 3,000ft, have been found dead along the country's coasts. Many locals and some scientists believe these so-called 'sea serpents' wash up onto shore by strong currents that precede quakes. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4252426/Mysterious-thirty-foot-sea-serpent-PREDICT-earthquakes.html

A Russian Instagram model, who risked her life dangling from a 1,000ft-high Dubair skyscraper for a photoshoot, has been forced to sign a statement vowing to never do it again. Viki Odintcova, 23, was held up only by the hand of a male assistant as she leaned out into thin air from the 1,004-foot tall Cayan Tower in Dubai in a bid to get the perfect Instagram shot. Major General Halil Ibragim Al-Mansuri, of the Dubai Police, told The Sun: 'The actions of the Russian woman put her life at risk.' No photoshop, she did it.
