Copy the code snippet and go to the wordpress dashboard and perform the next task.

. Back to the advanced ads ads page and place the code in the blank space and click on get details and this will leave two more steps ahead to be taken.

. Click on the next button with blue color
. Click on the finish button with a blue color
. Then the ad will be saved
. Proceed to placements under the advanced ads plugin
. Choose the ads infeed format formerly installed
. Then name the ads in the next column
. Then select the pre saved ads in the last column and save the ads
. Then go to placements and duplicate the ads into several points you want it to appear and please choose wisely
. Go to the advanced ads settings and select some optiont.

Here are the options and the selections below:

. Disble ads shows only in three places on your website
. Mark ads to be tagged advertisment
. Mark ads to open in new browser window
. Select the box hide ads from Bots

My ordeal with Nairaland

There are several entertainment bloggers who write good and reasonable entertainment news but they never came tothe first page or got noticed.

Why?

This is simple, several other authority domains which are more preferred in the system have taken over what you're trying to work for.

Is that clear?

This is really sad that we come everyday to see the things written by the same authors and wouldn't give the upcoming the chance to come out.

Kenya government has published new broadcast regulations, which places strict limits on sexual content and ban preachers from soliciting money on air, BBC reports.

First let me introduce my own personal experience with a niche blog I owned (An entertainment niche website) which I started blogging with and I was able to get really famous with the website kabsedo.com. During the course of this my ordeal with my website, I was having visitors strictly from Nigeria and also my clicks were coming from the same place.

The little experiment I took

Knowing fully well that webmasters blog and blogging tips blog pays very well with Adsense, notwithstanding wherever the traffic into the webmaster blog or blogging tips blog is coming from (either search engine or social media traffic or referral traffic), I wasn't able to make upto $0.10 per click on my blog blogincomes.com.ng.

Here's is how I did this...

I sent referral traffic from my entertainment website kabsedo.com directly to the homepage of my website blogincomes.com.ng and the visitors increased by 0.50% but apparently my CPC didn't increase even owing to the fact that my website has only visitors from search engine coming to it.

Truthfully, I did receive clicks on my ads but they are very low paying on my Adsense.

My CPC as of then was never above $0.10 but initially while I was using a paid campaign with my traffic provider, my CPC was $0.89 and $1.20 respectively.

The traffic from the paid campaign wasn't coming directly from search engine but a referral traffic from my webtraffic provider.

NB: we carried out this by ourselves and we came out with a confidential result that could stand overtime.

These little happenings just brought me to the point of wondering why all these things do happen to several bloggers and Adsense publishers.

Permit me to say this, several bloggers do not understand the ethics of blogging and also they are not conversant with what is CPC, CPM, RPM and most especially CTR so we are writing this content to just educate on the little side that we can here on in this specific writeup.

. Website keywords (Long tailed and short tailed keywords)

If you ever experienced this issue above with your Adsense account, then you’re going to consider invalid activity in your Adsense account.

This is quite a question to ask oneself once you start seeing something like making your first $15 to $20 without being asked to verify your account. When I say verify your account I mean your pin (Personal Identification Number).

I have heard of this severally and I decided to try it out myself as they say experience is the best teacher.

I placed an Adsense code in one of my websites and sent a very very untrusted traffic to the website, I was able to be getting clicks for close to ten days and my Adsense earnings was upto $12.50 and something really happened.

All these while I have above $10.00 in my account, I never saw my verification message and I sought to find out why this happened.

A while ago I wrote about why google Adsense estimated earnings decreased more than the finalized earnings.

The same traffic source I used then was the same traffic source I used on the new Adsense account to verify this thing that I decided to find out. Then a conclusion ran up in my mind, could it be that the traffic source is non-legit or that the clicks I am getting were fake or that the money isn’t how much I saw to be there?

Previously I have noticed that my Adsense always demanded I verify my PIN upon making upto $10.00 and same applied to the ones owned by my clients but this particular incident knocked me off the balance.

I conducted a more deep research to verify what caused this unexpected development in my Adsense account and here is what I found out.

If it happened that my earnings just clogged to the next month, it would be too suprising that I may see my overall earnings as $5.00 or lesser.

Now I say

Most times our websites do generate traffic and conversions which normally we wouldn’t be asked to verify our websites upon reaching our threshold for verification.

We should be too mindful of these issues as they are a proof of invalid activity and also invalid clicks to your ads.

As Facebook continues to buffet winds of criticism, its founder took out full page ads in U.S. and British newspapers Sunday to apologize to consumers for not properly securing their personal data.

"This was a breach of trust, and I'm sorry we didn't do more at the time," Mark Zuckerberg said in the signed ad, which was published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and six British papers. "We have a responsibility to protect your information. The ad refers to the misuse of 50 million Facebook profiles, which were mined through an app created by a Cambridge University professor and then sold, in violation of Facebook's terms of service, to Cambridge Analytica, a company that used the profiles to create election ad-targeting tools for the campaign to elect Donald Trump.

Zuckerberg's belated mea culpa comes in the midst of a major crisis for the global social network.

Facebook shares dropped 14% since the scandal broke more than a week ago, eroding Zuckerberg's net worth by $10 billion and the company's market cap by $75 billion. In response, a #DeleteFacebook campaign took root, with Tesla CEO Elon Musk and others acting on the hashtag.

A new poll shows a significant erosion of trust in Facebook, as lawmakers continue to call for its founder to testify before Congress.

A Reuters/Ipsos online poll released Sunday found that 41% of Americans trust Facebook to obey laws that protect their personal information, compared with 66% who said they trust Amazon, 62% who trust Alphabet's Google and 60% for Microsoft.

On NBC's Meet the Press Sunday, Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., vice chairman of the Senate intelligence committee, said Zuckerberg "needs to come and testify." Warner added that "I think the whole industry has been reluctant to accept the fact that we're seeing the dark underbelly of social media and how it can be manipulated."

Facebook's senior leadership was conspicuously quiet in the immediate wake of the Cambridge Analytica debacle. Sandberg said nothing until a spate of interviews late last week.

Zuckerberg's first comment on the issue was a Facebook post on March 21. It was notable for not offering a distinct apology; he finally used the word "sorry" a bit later in the day in an interview on CNN.

In his blog post, Zuckerberg announced a slew of changes aimed at Facebook app developers and designed to prevent another Cambridge Analytica situation.

Developers will receive only a user’s name, profile photo, and email address when someone signs in through Facebook, with more detailed information that includes their posts available only after getting permission from Facebook, Zuckerberg said.

Facebook also will begin cutting off an app's access to an account holder's data if the app hasn't been used for three months. The realization that users have potentially allowed hundreds of apps to gather data in the background has led some to set aside time to delete those apps from their account.

As you know, I always hunt for trends. Why? It’s important to know what’s coming next so you can budget for and leverage the right tech that will propel your business forward. Last week I attended CES, one of the largest tech conferences in the world, and the innovation on display didn’t disappoint. From AI and VR to the IoT and smart cars, here's my take on the top 18 trends from CES this year.

This year, companies shared advancements in everything from consumer technology hardware to content to enterprise tech delivery systems to autonomous cars—and so much more. CES, as you know, is no joke when it comes to tech; they’ve debuted satellite radio, 3D printers, unmanned VR systems, and even the VCR way back 1970. This year followed suit; even with flooded floors and a power outage, the convention gave us a snapshot of what enterprise tech you should be thinking about, budgeting for, or already integrating in 2018.

Convertible Tablets/Laptops. Simple tablets and laptops with finger touch technology are giving way to more convertible devices with robust capabilities and more traditional interfaces. An example is the Lenova X1 Yoga, a convertible with a keyboard that folds behind the device (not detaches) when it operates in tablet mode and unfolds when users want the experience of the keyboard. The bottom line here? Convertibles offer a higher degree of functionality than tablets alone, so look for that tech to continue to boom this year.
Smart Home Devices. When you think of the smart home device market, you probably think of Amazon’s Alexa—and for good reason. In 2018, though, look for the competition to increase, especially from products that can connect to the big three—Amazon Echo, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit .

Companion Robots. In 2018, robots won’t just be for housework—they can also provide entertainment and companionship. Somnox, for example, created a companion robot to help you fall and stay asleep. Honda made waves at the convention, too, showcasing robotic concepts that hinge on AI assisting humans, some of which even show compassion through facial expressions.
Chip Wars. The laptop chip war is gathering steam, as we’re seeing combo chips that combine high computing power, longer battery life, more memory, and major graphics capabilities. To that last point, Intel, in fact, released a new chip that incorporates AMD graphics, a move sure to make gamers happy (and competitor Nvidia raise an eyebrow, according to the WSJ).
Artificial Intelligence—in Everything. AI, unsurprisingly, was everywhere at CES, and many trends on this list fall into that vein. This will be the year of “smarter” everything—smarter products, smarter vehicles, smarter processes, smarter consumer goods, smarter tech solutions, and even smarter cities.
Health Sensors. Just like AI is rushing 2018, so is the IoT. That is especially evident in the healthcare industry. While there are certainly factors to consider when it comes to HIPAA compliance and personal data, the value of sensors to help people improve their health and well-being is undisputed. Sleep sensors were an especially hot item at this year’s conference, so keep your eyes on those.
5G Technology. With blazing fast speeds and high computing power, 5G tech is poised to change the world—and I don’t say that lightly. Why? The IoT wouldn’t be where it is without the support and speed of 5G, which promise multigigabit download speeds. And that’s just the beginning.
Smarter Cars. Digital transformation touches the automotive industry, too. And no, I’m not just talking about self-driving cars—although those are worth discussing, too. Facial Recognition. Facial recognition software is another tech that’s not new but is making great strides. This might be one of the only cool features on the iPhone X—and that helped push this more mainstream. Look for this and other biometric solutions to improve security in the coming year on everything from standard video systems to mobile device access.
Virtual Reality. Although not as hot as AR, VR is still a key trend to watch in 2018 as companies look to add more utility at a variety of price points. For example, you can snag Facebook’s new Oculus Go for only a couple hundred dollars, and other brands are competing at that price point, too.
Smart Cities. More municipalities are beginning to integrate sensor technology into infrastructure in ways that impact public health and safety. The implications here are huge. (Can you imagine, for example, not having to search for a parking space because you know where all the open spots are thanks to sensors?) As I’ve written about before—I believe smart cities will make us smarter, allowing us to be more efficient with our time and resources.
Connected Devices Everywhere. Thanks to the IoT and its sensor technology, connected devices are everywhere. I’ve discussed how the IoT will impact the supply chain, but let’s get more micro for a minute—ironic because, of course, sensors are pretty micro themselves. A key theme from CES is the expansion of sensors in both their numbers and their capabilities. Debuted at CES, for example, L’Oreal’s UV Sense is battery-less and sticks to your thumbnail, monitoring your level of exposure in the sun, among other variables. This is proof you can look for 2018 to usher in a new class of wearable.
Wireless Charging. Power cords are like leashes for adults. We live in a digital world but are still often tethered by charging cords—for now, anyway. Wireless charging is on the horizon, with brands like Powercast and Energous unveiling chargers that send power to multiple devices over the air.
LED TVs. No, LED TV’s aren’t new, but what about micro LEDs? In these devices, LEDs are tiny—thinner, in fact, than a strand of human hair. They also produce their own light, an important factor when it comes to contrast. A bonus? They consume less power, too.
3D Printers for More than Just Plastic. Advancements in 3D printers mean big things for many industries, changing the way we ideate, engineer, develop, and manufacture. Printers themselves are now available in space and cost-saving models, bringing a level of accessibility to enterprises large and small. In the past, though, there was one key limitation: Plastic was the main material most printers could work with. A new solution from Desktop Metal makes printing with—you guessed it, metal—possible. What’s next? The winner of an CES emerging tech award from Digital Trends, this is definitely an area worth watching.
Boosted Performance Analysis in Sports Tech. This year’s CES featured a major sports tech theme. For example, ESPN is now using video in their first down markers, AI is being integrated into drone races to boost performance, and golf clubs are now equipped with a technology that helps improve your swing.
Drones always make an appearance at CES. Why? They’re feature-packed crowd pleasers and can be pack a ton of functionality into an increasingly small gadget. For example, the Oori drone is a palm-sized racing model built for speed but user-friendly enough for recreational flying. If there’s a lesson to be learned here, it’s that UX always wins—something you should keep in mind every year, not just in 2018.
