Well in all, God will only always glory his name. We need to understand in life that we are saved and blessed ONLY by grace, and NEVER by our own self righteousness or vain efforts. If God hadn't willed it, we wouldn't have seen it manifest!

Personally I still don't want to believe that this blessing happened by luck or chance or our qualifications... That way we would be conscious of always returning the glory to whom it's due.

Exxa, you have been quite helpful in this thread, very helpful. God has indeed just started greater things for u. Kindly always ignore negative comments or perceptions of you, they don't matter at all in you becoming who you want to be. Just be sure that you are not weary in doing good; it pays.


I wish I applied for the UK scheme though; I would have preferred UK for personal reasons, but I'm grateful God gave me France instead.

Thanks Exaa. The other day u were narrating your ordeal about the interview, some folks found it reprehensible and accused you of bragging. So me just keep quiet and observe since making self reference is now considered a crime

I have 4 publications
4 National Awards
And second person in ABU, Zaria to graduate with a First class in Economics from katsina state After the incumbent HOD in 1994

Like i said earlier, my qualification has little impact on the outcome. I guess i was just lucky out of thousands

Please what documents are needed at the induction. Is the health test carried out also and can it prevent one from getting the award if one is a sickler for example.

My interview for tge uk went excellent , i have all the requirements they asked, answered their questions very well, i saw the expression on the faces of the panel, all smiles....one of the prof. Advice me on what to do so she can give me more marks, i went out did it, came back to them, they attended to me again......BUT DESPITE THESE, AM NOT CERTAIN IF I WILL MAKE THE LIST, BECAUSE, I KNOW A LADY LAST YEAR WHO DIDNT TAKE THE APTITUDE TEST OR INTERVIEW , SHE DIDNT APPLY, AND SHE WAS SHORTLISTED , WHEN I ASKED HER, SHE SAID THEY WILL OPEN A PORTAL FOR HER ON INDUCTION DAY.....
CURRENTLY , THERE ARE TWO PERSONS BOASTING OF ALREADY RINSING THIS YEARS OWN.....

PLS , YOU GUYS SHOULD STOP ALL THESE ARGUMENTS , JUST WATCH AND PRAY, IF GOD SAYS ITS FOR YOU NO MAN WOULD TAKE IT AWAY FROM YOU........JUST FORGET PTDF, FACE OTHER THINGS AND MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE , BEFORE YOU MIGHT HURT YOURSELF WHEN THE LIST FINALLY COMES OUT..

FROM NEXT WEEK , TEXT, MAILS WILL START ROLLING .....GOODLUCK

All of these are Awards but not actually what they requested for. They asked for National/International Awards.

your profile is great and there is high hope and I pray you get it. but I feel you need to try on the publication cause it could be difference between you and the next person from your state who also has First Class and distinction, and maybe fewer awards but with 2 or 3 publication. just my thoughts though

You are right. I didn't get to see the marking scheme but when I handed over my certificate to the prof. He showed it to the other man with laptop and said give him his 30 marks!

Why all the fuzz about publications. As for academic publications - in the developed world, if you have one then it is assumed you have started a PhD or some other postgraduate research related program except you are talking about textbooks, novels, biographies, "handouts", "leaflets" and those made in the newspaper .
When you become a true researcher then you can start making genuine publications. That's the ideal thing.

What an excellent profile! Though you left out your background! Don't you think that could be a major factor in the selection process, since they are looking at programs that are related to the oil and gas industry, which is the core mandate of PTDF?
