Parents of a 2 year old boy have been arrested on Thursday after he was found stuck in a toilet while left home alone.

Police say that neighbors in a building on Kingston Drive in Canton, Ohio called after hearing a child crying for at least half an hour at the Skyline Terrace apartments, according to IndeOnline.

The superintendent allowed cops inside the building where they reportedly found a two-year-old boy stuck in the toilet.
The poor tyke had apparently used the toilet and fell inside and got trapped.

Police say his parents were nowhere to be found.
Authorities freed the boy, and then set about trying to find his parents and called social workers.

A bus carrying Enyimba players, was on Monday attacked by armed robbers in Okene, Kogi State.

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, were on their way to Kaduna for the Super Four tournament.

A tweet from the club confirming the incident read: “We can confirm our team bus was attacked by armed robbers this afternoon in Okene, Kogi State on our way to Kaduna for the #SuperFour”.


However, the Peoples Elephant confirmed no one was injured in the incident.

Kogi Political kingpins have gone back to the drawing board to reconfigure the state’s political positions following the final decision of the state’s Deputy Governor-elect, Hon. James Faleke to absent himself at next week’s inauguration ceremony.

The governor-elect, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Vanguard learned are at a cross roads over the push by stakeholders from the Igala speaking Kogi East district for the office of deputy governor to be zoned to them on the grounds that as the largest senatorial district they cannot be left out of the first two positions in the state.


Sources close to Faleke says he will partake in the inauguration ceremony scheduled for January 27.

A 37-year-old woman, Risikat Bamidele, is currently receiving treatment at the Ogun State Hospital, Ijaiye after policemen allegedly tortured her on Saturday for making phone call at a police station.

Risikat reportedly lost her nine weeks old pregnancy at the Kemta-Idi Aba police station where her husband, Tunde is being detained. Risikat, while narrating her ordeals on the hospital bed, said, she was harassed by a policeman on the orders of the Divisional Police Officer for making phone calls.

She alleged that the policeman slapped her several times, while she was being pushed behind the counter. She said before her encounter with the DPO, she was trying to call her in-law who is based in Abuja on the arrest of her husband.

Risikat was said to have fainted when she got to her place of work, Catholic Comprehensive High School, Onikolobo. Her husband said Risikat started bleeding while she was still behind the counter at the station.

One of the four suspected kidnappers of a four-year-old-boy, Steve Kanu, in Abeokuta has confessed that she regretted her action. But that it was her boyfriend, who wanted to travel abroad and wanted to pay her bride price, that put pressure on her to commit the crime.”

Young Steve was kidnapped at his parents’ home at Laderin Estate, Abeokuta, on Monday, November 2, 2015. He was, however, rescued alive last Friday by the men of the Ogun State Police Command, who swooped on the kidnappers at Nsukka, Enugu State, and rescued the boy alive. A ransom of N1m was paid to the kidnappers before he was rescued.

Last Thursday morning at Gbagidi, Ijanikin area of Lagos State, a housewife known as Iya Deborah, reportedly emptied a bowl of hot water on her husband, identified as Ajagadi.

Iya Deborah had complained bitterly after her husband gave her N700, out of the N800 he had, to prepare yam and sauce breakfast for the family. She bought the yam, but emptied the boiling water on her husband, who was fiddling with his phone in the sitting room, waiting for his meal.

The couple have been married for eight years, has four children, including a six-month-old baby.

Armed robbers on Sunday stormed the Marine Police Post of the Lagos State Police Command in the Epe area, exchanging gunfire with the policemen. During the attack, the robbers attempted to steal the station’s gunboat and other ammunition.

Our correspondent learnt that the robbers, said to number about 20, came in a speedboat to the Marine beach at about 12.30am. It was gathered that policemen from the Epe division, the Rapid Response Squad and the Counter-Terrorism Unit, were mobilised to the scene to repel the attack.

A police source told our correspondent that the robbers, who escaped in their boat, riddled the station with bullets. The gunboat, which they attempted to steal, sank in the water.

He said, “It was at about 12am that the militants invaded the Marine Police Post, Epe. Their mission was to kill the policemen and dismantle the security structures around the place so that they could embark on a bank robbery maybe on Monday.
