Eight Different Ways to Advertise A Product, Business And Service

Advertise simply means a way of bringing new customers to a business, product or service. The process is to advertise using an advertising method that suits the business, product or service, cost and target consumers, customers and audience. To Advertise the advertiser will have several options to choose from, as traditional media such as print materials and new social channels such as social networks both have their advantages.

1) Advertise Online Using Google AdWords

To advertise on websites, blogs and social media networks that gets heavy traffic is one way to get the word out about a business, product and service. To advertise on social networking sites such as Facebook have advertising campaigns and advertising managers that allow advertisers to advertise to specific demographics and niche. These adverts show up only next to profiles that meet the specifications of the business, product service and target market.

To advertise on the internet in general the advertiser will have plenty of options for advert placement. The best known service used to advertise is Google's AdWords, but hundreds of other companies can help to advertise ones adverts on suitable sites.

2) Advertise Using Facebook Social Media Marketing

To advertise through Facebook social media platform is an attractive marketing strategy for new businesses, products and services, because to advertise on Facebook social media consumes little or no monetary cost. To advertise using this process the advertiser will need to invest significant time in building a presence, and making the content engaging such that it would attract lots of followers. To advertise using the Facebook social media marketing strategy the advertiser will have to offer frequent premiums for followers of the advertisement, in the form of discounts, and giveaways, free gifts, to advertise this way can help a lot. To advertise a tangible product, the advertiser can also use verbal means by word of mouth by giving evaluation units to influential bloggers, and Facebook pages with a considerable amount of followers, for example the Facebook page Npower https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100070134780663 has a total of 10,000 organic followers under the job niche, so to advertise a business, product or service such as job, or education would go well with this Facebook page.

3) Advertise Using Traditional Newspaper Advertisement
To advertise using traditional form of advertising, such as using the daily and weekly newspaper advertisement allows an advertiser to target a specific geographical area. To advertise using this advertisement method the advertiser should attach an incentive, such as a coupon, to the advert, this can help the advertiser to access the effectiveness of the advert. To advertise by buying an advert in a section relevant to the advertiser’s business, product or service, for instance, a recruiting firm advert in the job section, can also help the advertiser to reach target audience.

4) Advertise Using Targeted Radio Advertising
To advertise using targeted radio advertising such as a catchy jingle, skit and quick tag line an advertiser can improve a radio advert's effectiveness. To advertise using this method the advertiser must match the radio station the advertiser chooses with the advertiser’s target demography. If an advertiser wants to reach adults aged 40 to 70, an adult contemporary radio station is best.
If an advertiser wants to reach youths between 18 to 39 then an alternative or urban radio station is a good media to advertise.

5) Advertise Using Local or National Television Advertising
To advertise using local or national Television might consume time and effort, but this method can be effective if the advertiser advertise a product, business or service with a high price. A national TV advertisement can cost as low as ₦47,454,840.71 though this price can vary widely based on market trends. The advertiser can justify the difference in price if a Television advertisement can reach customers who would not respond to radio advertisement.

6) Advertise Using Public Speaking Events
To advertise effectively using this method, the product, business or service the advertiser wants to advertise must relate to the advertiser’s own expertise. To advertise using this method the advertiser should offer services to organizations that could gain from the advertiser’s workshops, seminars or lectures. To advertise using this method the advertiser should bring business cards and promotional materials to the event to encourage the audience to spread the word about the advertiser’s services, products or business.

7) Advertise Using Door Banners, Leaflets, Handbills And Flyers
To advertise using door banners, Leaflets and Flyers such as canvassing the community, placing flyers, leaflets and handbills in mailboxes or hanging banners on doorknobs, car wipers, pasting banners on windscreen of commercial vehicles and car door handles, is a good method to advertise your business, product or service to target a specific area and to ensure that the potential customers sees the advertiser’s information. Although most homeowners or vehicle owners will discard the information, gaining a handful of customers may be enough for a positive return on the advertising campaign investment.

8 Advertise Using Event Sponsorship and Appearances
To advertise a product, business or service through event sponsorship can take several shapes. The advertiser might get an acknowledgement in the event program, the advertiser might have an on-site location where the advertiser can give out sample product, or the advertiser’s company logo might appear on the event posters. To advertise using this method, an alternative for events that needs a hand-stamp for entry, the advertiser should provide the venue with a stamp that bears the advertiser’s company logo; the attendees will then have the advertiser’s logo close by for a day or two.
