You should have gone with Sako or bread Inverter, they have 500vdv mppt cc. Its mppt |

eghos12: Bro confirm if your panels can even reach 50v before you buy the charge controller. Because I never seen a jinko panel reading 50v and above. Also shading can be applied to the panel to reduce the voltage My point exacty. I use 6 of those 585w panels, and the PV voltage has never crossed 285V |

Haykay2001: To some extent his correct sah.. If i were you, I will listen to him.. This both will almost hit 100v and your inverter is cap at 100v I have once connected 46x3 to felicity 60a cc and in the afternoon it stated showing error with that their red blinking light... You might be luck it never move over the 100v bur that will be you taking da risk. The highest voltage he will get if both are connected in series is 95v |

hoover420: Guys, I don’t understand my installer, but I don’t want to be too forward since it’s not my area of expertise.
I got the Jinko 585-watt panel to complement the single 535-watt I installed for my Haisic 1.5kVA inverter because I also use grid to charge it. Now the installer is telling me it can’t work directly and that I’ll have to buy an MPPT for it to work. Even before I got the 585 watt, I asked several people here and they said I could install it, but it might not be effective. However, this installer is telling me my inverter is too small and that it can’t accept any extra panel without an MPPT controller of 100A. Meanwhile this is the same guy that installed my setup initially.
The picture of the panel & inverter is below. Connect the 2 panels in series, it will work |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ezimuoh: 2:22pm On Jul 06 |
Penuelseun: That will work If its a single 620W panel, it will not work o, you need 2 or 3 of it to be able to get up to required PV Voltage for the MPPT to pick |

bassdow: You probably expects I respond to you ba ?
unfortunately, we got both types of batteries for sale. This year alone, have sold lots of used batteries both lithium and leadAcid. Justt happens that more and more clients are tossing their leadAcid batteries for lithium batteries.
Currently have 3pcs of 12v lithium batteries BUT I chose to keep them for a pet project. As for the leadAcid batteries, we got them from project that was done 2-weeks ago. Is this not a response? |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ezimuoh: 12:03pm On Jun 24 |
bassdow: choose to keep for ma self though you could still have it. Just add 2o,ooo. One thing I have observed over the years is most clients from Nairaland get as dem be. Obviously why One needs decide on their target client whether na those wey wan pay for comfort OR those wey go wan drown you with stories of their poor self. The moment you try consider dem small, dem go begin think say na dem wise pass. Don't really mind selling off without adding any markUp so long the current owner is willing to let go.
the SRNE 48v 5kva was from a client who upgraded to 20kva 3 phase system hence the 5kva had to go along with some panels.
Anyway sha, leadAcid batteries also dey just in case you're interested. Just so you know, we use either leadAcid I talk am say e get used lead acid batteries wey you dey try to sell since 😂😂😂 |

Dabss: not when others are getting 2kw with similar setup. I feel that a 70 percent yield is too poor considering the fact that it's even bifacial. Solar panel output depends on sooo many factors |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ezimuoh: 7:27am On Jun 21 |
Dabss: I have 4 PCs of 535W halfcut jinko bifacial and I have never gotten up to 1.6kw from them. Could it be because the guy mounted them nearly at the top of the roof which is the most slanted position? The thing don tire me. 535w x 4 is 2.1kw. If you get up to 1.5kw, its still a good output |

bassdow: The sketch you made is basically same thing I said. Difference is you TAPPed from mid-section of the battery wire instead of the battery head.
Would say it would work BUT not good enough as the Connection wouldn't be as TIGHT as if on the battery's head. Normally we use Busbar but not everyOne can afford such for small setUps.
Having a dedicated cable and adding it to the battery Screw head ensures it's very TIGHT enough.
Once again, what you drew would work BUT not adviced. mayBe if you tell us your reasons, we might be able to suggest solution(s) The battery head of that itel battery is not bolt and screw, it is more of socket and plug. That is what he’s try to say |

HustlingHustler: Hi Engineers! My 5Kva Felicity Solar inverter now goes off immediately Nepa takes light. It can't power most of my home appliances anymore without it tripping off. It has been powering every items in my house since I bought it 2 years ago but now, anytime I put on AC, Fridge or TV, it goes off. Bulbs and Fans are still working fine. Also, I noticed that the inverter has stopped making the humming sound or noise when charging with Nepa light. It is always quiet now when charging. Please, I would love to know if the inverter or battery is what is faulty. Attached is the picture of the inverter setup Thanks You been dey on AC on top Tubular Battery? |

bassdow: Those are the PROs (perks) of staying in Lagos, what about the CONs ? Are you also interested in that ?
Even Petrol is CHEAPer in Lagos than in Ogun state. In fact transportation generally is CHEAPer in Lagos than in Ogun state.
Same way cost of housing is CHEAPer is many other parts of Nigeria apart from the likes of Lagos.
Oportunities nko ? What about cost of living ? Quality of Life ? etc
So you see, just like Lithium vs leadAcid based batteries, everything got it's STRONG and WEAK points but marketers only focus on those they know you wanna hear. Lead Acid Batteries do not have ANY strong point over Lithium Batteries |

ask4bk: Some of these old inverters stay completely silent in normal user except when it hits like 50% of rated capacity and the fans activate. But these new ajebo hybrid inverters will just have fan constantly on even on low load, and will increase the fan noise with more load hitting it.
These old inverters are just so robust and working for 5-7 years without any single fault Move on |
